You can use Skype, its 100% free of charge,it also lets you voice call and video call for free.
And be spied on.

you can't call physical phone numbers for free, you need to purchase skype credit in order to do so  Undecided
What does that have to do with spying?

I actually wanted to quote dodob but I'm too lazy to scroll up,and as you quoted him you offered it on a silver platter..

I'm new to the whole bitcoin thing, but if you're looking for a free text website that can send messages anywhere in the world, then just go to this site http://www.afreesms.com/freesms/ I use it once in a while, but sometimes the messages are delayed.

70% of the voters still don't get that the NSA is snooping on them.
well that's true. And you pay them to do that  Undecided

At gunpoint, so even 100% of the voters "getting it" wouldn't matter, unless so many protested tax that election officials would have to rely entirely on bribes and not a mix of bribes and taxpayer-funded salaries to ensure all civil rights are infringed with the tampered "consent" of the electorate. Off-topic ends here.

Who the Hell wants to type on their phone when they have a choice?

If you want free text communication and MUST use a phone, you have Skype (which has mobile options) which I find to be much more reliable and convenient (as well as more useful since you don't have to rely on someone else having a smartphone or being near their phone). There's also email and whatever it is I'm typing on.

A few years back, I tried pushing craigslist customers to Skype me rather than SMS, and I got far less contacts. Now with Android speech-to-text, I don't have to type anything, unless in a meeting or something.

Incidentally, I only purchased a smartphone because of a door lock which only opened via a cell phone app. I never ended up visiting the place, so I was locked into a useless phone contract until I realized I could tether. Now, if I didn't have an unlimited plan, I literally wouldn't be here right now. Cheesy

Well... that's probably not true. I'd probably've moved to somewhere with DSL service by now. SMS, though? I very rarely use it, and I don't think I've ever initiated contact that way. Who the Hell wants to type on their phone when they have a choice?

I have Pinger, but I never use it. I have unlimited SMS with Verizon, so it doesn't really affect me.

US Landline SMS are not OK for VK.COM registration and 2way mobile SMS communication.
Well, they suck.

There are some moble plans with unlimited international SMS and US number, even anonymous, and price is OK.

Some providers not allow calls and SMS to iNum, the only one free and international number.
