Does litecoin count?

And either way... what should I do now? sell my BTC at a loss and diversify? I rather hold til half way through 2015

Don't ask me, I may be wrong on all counts. I am just saying Plan B would be nice )

interesting observation. however, if true, you should just reverse your actions.
...

But the action taken will still be his action, and therefore wrong.  An oracle who's always wrong is immensely useful to others [just do the opposite of what the oracle says], but never to self.

Me, the oracle, is banking on a bubble/new ATH next year.... I plan to sell 10% of my holdings at $1000, 20% at $1300, and 70% at $2000+ depending on how fast we get there.

So does that mean you should sell and we will NOT see a ATH next year? Fuck everyone and everything if it doesn't happen
Sounds like you have no plan B. Fuck everyone is not plausible. Have you heard of diversifying your investments?

Lol at IDIOTS who think we will see another huge rally....

I have scientific evidence that EVERY TIME I enter an investment it is TOO LATE... out of everything I've put money in... I have lost money 100% of the time. I am deeply invested in BTC right now (~$20K) and I can guarantee you that we will not have another rally. I ALWAYS manage to catch a falling knife, or enter the game a little too late.... I never make money, this is 100% always the case. Sorry guys.

interesting observation. however, if true, you should just reverse your actions.
For example, you decided that one stock is good, you invest a small amount of money. Once it is done, automatically buy long term at the money puts if they are reasonably priced.
However, I think that what you describe is quite common to all of us and the reasons are purely psychological: we hate losing money more than enjoy gaining money.
It also underlies why many lose money on investments: when the stock dip initially, they hold, but ONLY until they are breakeven, then they sell, gaining nothing. When the stock goes up initially, they sell early, limiting the gains, and, of course, they hold losing stock until it zeroes out (if it happens).

It's not the fault of Bitcoin that you jump in when it's already too late to buy.

Invest some time into knowing how this market works, that might help you in the future to make money instead of losing.

If there is a rally I guess that will be between $2000 - $3000

Please tell us when you sell and cut your loss. The rally will start exactly 24 hours later.

I will never sell... would rather go down with a sinking ship and take everyone else with me. It would piss me off even more if I left and a rally happened right after (which would definitely happen)

ATH = All-Time High

so the prediction of a 'next' ATH is a contradiction of terms in itself.

there is only ever one ATH, if it has been already it was ~$1100. if it is yet to come, then it will be over $1100

the clue is in the name.. 'ALL-TIME HIGH' meaning the highest price that BTC will ever reach, as in All-Time.
between this term of phrase and 'ROI' i really wish people would read what they write  Roll Eyes

Are you always this anal about everything? Get your head out of your ass please and stop taking things super literally and try to read what is meant. With ATH people mean the highest price BTC has reached up to the present time. Right now the ATH is $1163 if we consider Bitstamp's price as the real market value (Gox coins didn't reflect true market value because of exchange issues). In the future a new bull market could bring us higher than that so we will reach a new ATH at that points, and the question of the OP is what that ATH will be or in other words where the top will lie of this next big bull market. See, it's not that hard to read and understand OP's words if you take your head out of your ass for a second. Smiley

Anyway to answer OP's question, I think the new ATH after the next big rally will lie around $5000. $4949 in February 2016 if you want a more precise prediction.

personal insults are not really the best way to get someone to hear your points.
we could debate grammar until BTC hits it's all time high, but i fear you may be slightly lacking in intellect to understand what the term means  Cheesy

Well apparently you are the only one who has the intellect to know exactly what ATH means and how it should be used and everybody else is wrong. Roll Eyes If you're going to be a grammar nazi at least make sure you're good at it first. Anyway nobody cares about what you said so this 'discussion' ends here.

OP, where is the option "we have already seen the ATH in Bitcoin"?
And if you say it's almost a certainty there'll be a new one, you should add an option for this tiny uncertainty, otherwise this is a biased poll.

The next rally will take us briefly from 150 to 300. Then down to sub 100.

This will happen sometime in the first half of 2015.

I voted conservatively below 3k$, because 5k$ while possible in late 2016 is less probable and 10k$ is bulls' dream (delusional permabulls' dream is 1M$).
And of course 2017 and 2018 IMO should be bear market, from which bitcoin price will never truly recover, since something better will replace it. Grin
