Hey I'm just the new guy voicing his simpleton opinion. I stand by my comment, even if there are still other threats and ways to cheat the system

Edit to add: remember, it wont always be a couple OGs bidding for one another. At some point it will be Fresh account A supposedly bidding for Fresh account B.

Why not? I'm sure that proxy bidding has always been present at the forum while in most cases it probably isn't disclosed (Like if user "A" messages user "B" and asks if he can bid on their behalf).

Personally I have no issues with it, I can't see where it could cause any damage or hurt.

Edit; Perhaps you shouldn't ask the auctioneer and owner of the item to proxybid for you, but that should be a nobrainer regardless.

I have no objections at all, as long as the bid can be verified. Last thing we want is people "proxy bidding" on their own auction to drive the price up.

A simple question. Do you think that someone, who cannot be present for the final hours of, or for some other unforeseen reason, be allowed to allocate someone else to bid in their stead?

Will this lead to ppl dialing and calling in their bids? Will anonymousminer Proxy Services start a successful Proxy auction service? Could it grow to into a circus? Cheesy
