Neos has an honest dev that will continue to improve the coin for years to come

I invest in the dev more than the coin.

Look into for yourself, dont just listen to me, take the 30 min to do the research

Looks like Darkcoin keeps scoring.

Darkcoin is the hare, and Monero is the tortoise. Wink

I can't believe this stupid poll is still running...
Who is for 2nd reseting?

So many Anoynomous coins already dead and this thread continue like this.

Well the top (voted) coins still persist, except for CLOAK which was handed over to community recently.

Code:
Darkcoin    [DRK]   - 152 (18.7%)
Cloakcoin   [CLOAK] - 121 (14.8%)
XCurrency   [XC]    - 106 (13.0%)
Monero      [XMR]   -  97 (11.9%)
BitcoinDark [BTCD]  -  43  (5.3%)

Let's reset, why not Smiley

Edit, found a screenshot from the first round (June/09/2014). Looks like Darkcoin keeps scoring.

no its not, at least its not close-source and any vulnerability can and will be fixed, good luck trying the same with darkcoin.
nice try. code is being audited right now and will be released on sept/29. there are reasons why the darksend development was not open source.
still closed source, and masternode = centralization = failure Smiley
i love this discussion Smiley

masternodes are nodes connected via peer to peer protocol and everyone is able to create his own masternode. that's pure decentralization. a centralized node would be a single point of failure and could be taken down by an ISP, govt, etc. that's not the case though.

you should get the facts straight. i can't blame you if you dont like darkcoin, but you should not repeat the stuff you read anywhere without proper research or at least spending a short amount of time to re-think about it.

"Darkcoin will then become the first fully open-source, decentralized, anonymous crypto-currency in the industry."

Um, given that Monero is already a fully open-source, decentralized, anonymous crypto-currency, how is that article not full of it?

Good thing that doesn't apply to Darkcoin, never did btw. Did you write that "article"?

I suggest you stop writing about things you have no clue about.

Michael_S wrote that article. Has he commented on any of this?|

All right, your last comment was plain stupid, I will not refer to any future posts of you, basicly I had to remove you from my thread view.

For everyone else,
- Calling Mr. Atlas a liar is pathetic. Kristov Atlas is a well known privacy and security researcher who was one of the first guys proving coinjoin vulnerable. Saying he does not know what he does mainly shows you have no idea what you type. http://www.coinjoinsudoku.com/advisory/
- Calling Mr. Duffield a scammer is even more pathetic. Darkcoin is one of the few altcoins with devs which do not hide behind new forum accounts or pseudonyms. He also keeps developing innovation which is of high value for all cryptos, including bitcoin. https://www.darkcoin.io/meetteam.html
- In addition, it's proven (and can be looked up at the blockchain anytime) that the instamine was fast and fairly distributed and not collected by the devs or other insiders. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/analysis-of-darkcoins-distribution-as-at-sept-2014-778616
- The linked 3 pages PDF (outdated by 4 months of development by the way) is a joke I hope. It concludes from "let's try", "very likely", "very likely", "very likely", to "strong evidence" and "it has been shown". This paper was at the time of writing not proving anything and is today not relevant anymore as the analysed code was removed from the darkcoin core client on Aug/13/2014. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rc4-launch.2033/

As I said before, I can't blame you for not liking Darkcoin, but let's stick to facts.

Edit: It seems Nekomata removed his accusations from his original post, so take that as general information about drk.

My vote is none of them (in their current feature sets, subject to change with any significant innovation).

As you can see there are really too many of them and none of them has risen up from the others.

Anonymity is apparently not the killer feature which will drive market domination, although it is a desirable feature.

Remember Moldbug's rule, "There can only be one". There can only be one unit-of-account and currently the dollar is winning in spades.

You can't overestimate the power of successful marketing. Darkcoin has this.
