this could happen anyway with any exchange. Now don't blame Polo and create conspiracy theories.

Could have been a coincidence, could have been foul play. But don't hold your breath for any kind of refund.
There is no guaranteed uptime on an unregulated exchange.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone went to the lengths of a DDOS on a trading site, though.
When there is a lot of money at stake, you shouldn't be surprised that someone would use underhanded tactics to gain an advantage.

was a witness when xrp blew up within seconds from 6 to 8k then the whole poloniex site lagged for minutes. When things went back to normal, xrp was down to 5-5.5.
I dont think complaints will get to anything with polo esp crypto exchanges are "deregulated"

lmao dream on.  refund, etc not gonna happen, especially in this wild-west crypto world.  and ESPECIALLY from polo.  they are an insider cartel exchange man, basically setup coins they want and know will pump with premines or crazy accumulation where whales can pump to high amounts with their bots lol.  oh wait it's "speculative" so the prices are warranted...lmao riiiiiggghhttt  Roll Eyes

the fact they barely reply to requests/emails and have trollbox ppl "specialized" for certain things, you ain't gonna get shit back from them for money, nor will you get an answer as to WHY they went down.  of course they will say it was issues with the site....perhaps true perhaps not.  pretty sketchy as usual with them.  it could have been them orchestrating it to match their pumpy whale friends demand tactics and could dump, OR it was a site failure and them or whales took advantage and dumped.  so there you have it.

prob won't be long before you see polo hacked or shut down for their bullshit.  they are in need of serious upgrade.

meanwhile try out 1ex.trade - vol should pickup by summer.

I don't know if this has been already addressed, but a couple of days ago during the Ripple peak Poloniex servers went down for minutes, with many people not able to buy and sell. Considering how quick the price went down, many people lost money due to servers not responding.

I've seen many complaints in the trollbox about this, but at the end something has been done? Refunds or similar?
Something can even be done in this situations?
