To be honest it almost has the same potential, but I mostly visit the bittrex site, maybe it's because it's a habit, and sometimes so many coins pump there, so the chances of getting profits are also being increased.

In my opinion, that is not something good. Too many listed coins just ruin the interface. Hardly I see them all!
The reduction in fees is needed, especially with high volume / high price  tokens.

Poloniex is still better for me because Bittrex takes too high transaction fees.

If Bittrex reduces its transaction fees, I believe many users will switch away from Poloniex.

I trade in both Poloniex and Bittrex, they're both very good, with fast withdrawals, never had any issue whatsoever with any of them.

I've got banned 'temporarily' for no reason. Last time I am using Poloniex that's for sure.

I still use both and i'm grateful not to have a problem with poloniex as others have, poloniex does not have good support but poloniex has lower fees than bittrex. All surely there are flaws and advantages of each you just need to choose the best for you.

I am using both, but am starting to prefer bittrex because poloniex is having issues in withdrawing, and lots of poloniex users  have started to notice this. Hope poloniex gets this problems over soon.

In recent times poloniex has become so selective on listing new altcoins. If I remember correctly, for all new ethereum based tokens I need to go for either bittrex or liqui exchange. There were times poloniex offered free coins. In recent times I have noticed their withdrawal takes little bit delay compared to earlier days (probably high volume of withdraw requests a reason).

I am using more 5 exchanges, just based on availability of one particular altcoin I will be using an exchange. Also I have habit of choosing exchange for getting better prices when same coin trades in gap.

I do think about it, if we want to trade safely then poloniex is a better option but if they are so selective to list new crpto, so we have to get into several exchanges such as bittrex and liqui. But no doubt poloniex is the first choice to trade.
I'm wondering about 5 exchanges that you use to compare better prices within some coins which may have bigger demand than other altcoins. Many factors to consider before put money on exchanges and just deposit some amount of money/bitcoin that you willing to lose (just in case).

I prefer myself Bittrex over Poloniex. There is not any particular reason, it's just that the Poloniex UI hurt my eyes.It is confusing that you don't know where to put your eyes. Bittrex is also the first exchange I used and I am happy with it. I don't like to change specially when all is working good. So i stick with Bitrrex personnaly

Came here from a thread linked to from another, and found it funny that this was the first thing that struck me about Polo the first time too... the default UI hurts my old eyes. You know you can switch to Night Mode, though, right? (Top right corner)

I think I will use both

Polo to store bitcoin and get interest. Bittrex for trading

Both are good, but an exchange is not good if used just to store bitcoin only, believe me you will get into trouble if just save it, immediately make trade there. Good luck!

Lately I have been using the bittrex a lot more.
Poloniex is suffering from scaling issues because of the sudden spike in users...
This has led them not add any of the popular and up and coming alts i trade/hodl.
Bittrex  has been getting all the ICOs of late.
They are also a lot more supportive of popular forks.
ZCL & ZEN come to mind.

I like liqui too...but it seems like a lot of bots trade there because most of the trades are in mBTC.

I hope polo wises up, and starts to pick up more projects, instead off falling on that excuse:

"we only add coins that are innovative to the space"

haha...

more like,

If we add another coin, we are gonna crash.

i'm using both bittrex and polo at the moment. polo interface is far better but it's irrelevant if you can't withdraw your money. polo has problems with withdrawals and you can never get any answer from their support. i'm expecting a mtgox-like behaviour from polo so beware.

Hello,

I saw that poloniex offers margin trading. Does it offer margin trading for all currencies or only for currencies listed in "margin trading" section?

Does bittrex offer margin trading now?

Thanks

For everyone, their exchange is better. Who needs a lot of liquidity at a normal price - Poloniex, who needs speed and no connection problems - Bittrex.
