It's a fact poor internet services affect negatively Bitcoin adoption. On short term there isn't much to do. But as technology is developed and improved, cheaper and more accessible sources of different services are disponible, like sources of energy, internet services and electronic goods for an example. All these examples allied to a basic effective education can lead Africa to a competitive stance compared to another continents.

Africa is a large segment of the world economy that could see some challenges in catching up with the rest of the world in being a part of the crypto revolution due to poor internet services infrastructure. This is the fall out from less investment in the development of the sector. Crypto is a much more needed addition to the Africa economy as it has the potential to generate huge wealth and get the younger generation engaged.Africa should a crypto hub.

Well, I am an African and I do not  agree with the point that poor interent will hinder one or pose as a threat to Cryptocurrency adoption in Africa. I can say that quite a lot of Africans are already in the competition market with other foreign countries who boast of good quality data services. I haven't heard of any serious complain of data with those fully involved in the cryptocurrency business as this is well sorted out.

In countries where there are abundance and adequate supply of internet access, then it will a good choice of cryptocurrency adoption, in africa where in countries have poor internet services could really hamper the adoption of cryptocurrency services and activities, so it is very important that an excellent internet services can really have a good order of cryptocurrency.

The world population statistics states that Africa has 80% of the world population and even at that Africa still remains one of the most undeveloped continent of the world, with inadequate technological development which hinder speedy adoption of modern technologies such as cryptocurrency and inadequate internet connection and lack of electricity supply is one of the major factors that contributes to that.

Poor internet connectivity will definitely impact negatively on adoption of crypto currency. Can you imagine transaction of bitcoin without internet ? can miner do work without internet?
But as far as i know africa does have internet access but average speed is low but speed does not matter only matter knowledge and willingness to adopt crypto.
People will only be adopted crypto if they find crypto for their personal benefits....

Poor Internet connectivity is way better than no Internet connectivity, that is the real issue, in the cities there is not going to be much problem for people to adopt cryptocurrencies if they have Internet, but how are we going to reach all of those people that live isolated from the rest of the world? That is the real challenge because they are the ones that need bitcoin the most.

I feel that not all countries in Africa have internet services, because we know that many countries in Africa whose economies are still below the standard, so making Africa as a base for strengthening bitcoin is very difficult to realize, because building supporting facilities requires huge costs, so let everything went on gradually, maybe many countries in Europe are willing to expand their business in Africa, maybe if this happens there will be an increase in supporting facilities from the internet network there.

If you take the time to see which countries are the ones that adopt new inventions and the most advanced technologies and methods to do stuff you will see that those countries are the ones that have the most money and the most development so when it comes to bitcoin that is not going to be an exception which means that the African continent which is the poorest will be the last to adopt bitcoin.

I agreed that Africa has been lagging behind the rest of the continent in terms of infrastructural development particularly internet penetration is still low however a recent  research shows that there is a 20% increase in the number of internet users in 2018 invariably there will a gradual adoption of Cryptos as more Africans hears about it.
Africa has not been lagging behind that much as a lot of people tend to portray it, but it is also realistic to say that when looking at the general population of Africa and for the fact that they have a lot to still do with development, it is for sure something we can state.

Like you said, from research, so much is changing already as the youths are increasingly becoming a lot more exposed in most parts of Africa now. Also, considering the stunts Binance pulled off in Uganda, a place where they are even unbanked, it simply shows there is a lot of potential for cryptocurrency to thrive, as I see people who are even hungrier for it than one can imagine.

t is true. if every country wants to use or implement digital technology or financial currency technology, the country must be supported or have good internet services and have an extensive internet network so that it can facilitate all people in that country. so that the internet service provider must be prioritized in order to use crypto currencies.

That has been one of the major obstacles for worldwide adoption from the beginning. And that's why physical exchanges for transactions will never be obsolete because of this restriction. And africa isn't the only country that has a big challenge when it comes to online access.

We know that cryptocurrency is digital and it will require an internet connection. If there is a poor internet connection service then definitely this will hamper cypto adoption.

crypto doesnt really require a good and reliable internet but as long as your internet can browse websites , for sure  you can always process a transaction over the blockchain .

What can really hamper to crypto adoption is the lack of knowledge and resources to use because we all know that africa is a verry poor country .

But overall , it is still possible for africa to catch up on the latest happening . they just need our help in the form of donations  and other stuffs .

I am not in Africa but my sisters are in Mozambique just to work. They said to me that Africa gradually adapts the technology and it is good that they are already civilized. Africans have change their way of living, they want also to be popular all over the world. I hope they will totally regulate and understand the cryptocurrency specially that Africa is rich when it comes in natural resources.
I won't be surprised at the way Africans will get to embrace cryptocurrency pretty fast when given the chance, which I believe is something we will get to see eventually. I was waiting to see what will happen with Binance and Uganda, a country where they are even more far behind when it comes to the whole of Africa, and a system where there is no banking services that could even covered a lot, so in this case, we are talking about the unbanked, and really I was surprised at the turn up. That simply shows there is great hope for Africans if I am asked.
Africa is indeed synonymous with poverty, before we talk about internet access. indeed it is true, but not all countries on the African continent are as imagined as many, many countries that are already modern

One of the factor so important in the adoption of cryptocurrency in a certain place is the abundant or adequate internet provider in the place , because poor supply of internet access can hamper the adoption of this cryptocurrency technology , like this instances that happen in african region, so improvement of this internet access in any african places ,could help in running this cryptocurrency very successful.

That is true, crypto currency is heavily internet based and a very slow internet could hinder transactions. Online monetary transactions needs highspeed internet to actually be done. This is why we need an insane amount of infrastructure not just in Africa but in the whole world to have a global currency in place.

In any country where their is no electricity or no internet services in smaller town will going to impact the crypto currency at large. Also they would not even be aware if such thing did exists but in coming years thing will be become better for every country as this are basic necessity now and government would be working to resolve it at qyuickly.

It does not even have to be Africa alone; there are so many other places in the world where some of these things are lacking. Also, having been to some developing parts of Africa, one can say there is actually great improvement when it comes to internet and all which is a start as far as I am concerned. No continent is beyond development, and even though they are lagging behind, that does not means they are completely behind, so in a way, as we see some people getting to adopt something pretty fast, so are we always going to end up seeing laggards, just like we are having now even in the crypto space.

i'm more concern of the political instability of Africa. corruption and tribalism is widely practice there. it could be hard for crypto to penetrate the market.

Of course it will not work out because of a problem in the likes of this. We know that cryptocurrency is digital and it will require an internet connection. If there is a poor internet connection service then definitely this will hamper cypto adoption. The poeple should ask the government for this to solve the problem for the government has the big role on implementing a good and strong internet connection for the country.

Crypto currency is done with online transactions using internet media, so that for regions or countries such as those in Africa that have difficulties with internet connections, it will be difficult to develop crypto currencies in that country
