I think that current Pope just realized what is obvious, that evolution and Big Bang doesn't contradict Bible and God's work.
It's pity that they needed such long time for such simple step.

The pope does not speak for god. They're self appointed kings that control people with false religion. The Vatican is just another financial super power, another government.

Popes make mistakes just like anyone else. If the Pope was simply speaking on his own, expressing an opinion, then he simply made a mistake, even if it was an intentional one. If, however, he was acting in his official position as Pope, head of the Papacy, then he was in his role of, as Martin Luther said many years ago, the anti-Christ.
The Pope of the Papacy is the acting anti-Christ of the Bible when he officiates. He's the right hand of the Devil. Each of you little people who support the Pope, and anything else that is against God and His truth, are, as John says in the New Testament, one of many anti-Christs.

That hasn't stopped them so far from claiming evolution and the big bang theory is a load of shit, sadly even Ron Paul dismissed evolution once in a video, I think they're just going to go back to what they usually do, staying in denial and they'll denounce the pope and claim he's not the pope.
The world has changed, science has advanced, believers have evolved. It would be extremely stupid for any religion to argue against evolution and big bang theories. Religions have to evolve too. Hence, twist traditional religious beliefs to fit the science. The Pope has basically admitted the book of genesis is a fairly tale.

I think that Pope Francis is the best Pope catholic church had ever!
He really changed his church a lot, opened the church to everybody, even homosexuals and divorced people, and he is also reasonable man, not dogmatic, so he can accept scientific proofs and reality about evolution.
