I think having a huge connection using crypto is goid but in this kind of transaction dealing with porn is not good because it may cause issues and negative feedback specially in terms of government because all we know that most of crypto holder and user is more on middle age or teens so it is more complicated if the government will have an action
I think this development is quite interesting, by using USDT as a payment medium on the adult site I think it can indeed attract the use of crypto and also promote this crypto industry. although currently its use is on adult sites like this, I think crypto transactions will be able to be used in other industries.
Most likely these kinds of websites are in the frontline when it comes to adopting, justs like this. They decided to use stablecoin Tether because they want to avoid the market volatility it seems. They made the right choice in adding USDT in their accepted payment method, Although this will not affect the cryptocurrency market in general but curious minds will surely check out USDT and eventually create awareness for bitcoin market.

As far as I know, Pornhub accepts some cryptocurrencies as the payment, such as Verge, Tron and Zencash. I don't know why they are adding the option for Bitcoin and Ethereum. But this acceptance from Pornhub came only after PayPal refused to process their payments (in November 2019). So they had to look out for the other service providers and cryptocurrency was selected as one of the options. I am not sure whether they have started accepting BTC. But if that is not the case, then adding USDT is illogical.

Yes, in 2017 I heard they had a partnership with XVG. And they also accepted XVG in their payment, but since then the XVG project has collapsed and seems to have stopped working. They have also listed some other coins as wel as far as I remember, they had verge as well for premium. They also had some sort of crypto agreement on their casino as well which is a less known part of pornhub I suppose. They have always been progressive when it comes to crypto, wouldn't expect anything less from a porn video company who normally seen as progressive business idea anyway.
