I'm commenting late, but I was waiting for all the games involving the 3 big teams to finish before I could comment.

I'm just waiting for Braga to win against Chaves to win my bet hehe, Sporting, Benfica and Porto have done their part  Grin

In the remaining match schedule for round 19 and later in round 20 I tried by selecting four matches with all four teams in the top standings, maybe this could be an easy match for them to win.
Some of the top teams have been able to have quite satisfactory match results in their last few matches, I want to see whether when betting on them they will be able to produce the victory as expected.
In the last match, Sporting were also able to get big 8 - 0 win over Casa Pia and this was very easy win to predict for them from the start of the match.

What were the total odds on that bet?
The Braga game is still in my round 19 bet, but I can also include it in my round 20 bet
It looks like the next round is also good for betting

What Sporting CP did! I don't think anyone expected them to score 8 goals tonight. They intimidated all their rivals. They sent the message that we'll be champions this season. With such a good squad and such a good game, they really should be champions.
Benfica and Porto also won this week so the point difference is still same.

The number of goals scored by them is impressive and a great one yet it does not mean anything in the fight for the title as the title fight is wide open between the top three teams and of course with more chances to be won by a Lisboa team rather than Porto.Benfica is a great team and in consistency and the team who is most consistent in the end will most likely win.Sporting needs to keep up the good performance or they risk big as the team who makes a mistake greatly reduce their chances to win the league.

I'm commenting late, but I was waiting for all the games involving the 3 big teams to finish before I could comment. I will start with the Farense game against Porto, this was a game that in my opinion the difference between both teams was in the efficiency of Porto's attack and the inefficiency of Farense's attack, while Farense created danger for Porto's defense but wasted goals , Porto did not waste goals at every good opportunity. If the Farense player had a good attack, then they would have achieved a draw in this game. Congratulations to Porto who played well and were very efficient in attack, a team should not waste every opportunity they have to score a goal. with this victory, Porto remains in third place and in the race for the title, it is still possible that Porto can overcome Benfica and Sporting, I say this because in the Portuguese league this is possible, if it were in the league of Italy, Spain, France and Germany I highly doubt that the second third place with a difference of 5 points would be able to overtake the top team

Amateur star played against Benfica, in a game in which I saw Benfica winning, but I confess that I was surprised by the fact that Benfica conceded a goal and were losing, it was a goal that could have been avoided by Benfica's defense. Benfica's goalkeeper saved the first shot, but when defending he returned the ball to the same player who shot the ball, and as Benfica's goalkeeper was leaving the ground, he had little space and time to save the second shot, as result the amateur star scored a goal. Still in the 1 half, the amateur star was very close to scoring the second goal, without a goalkeeper, the amateur star's attacker was unable to score the second goal. Benfica reacted and managed to score 1 goal and with that the game was tied, but it's funny that it only took 1 minute for Benfica to score the second goal and the 1 half ended. In the 2nd half, in the first minutes, Benfica scored the third goal, and then Benfica scored the fourth goal and won the game. In my opinion, the amateur star did well in the 1 half but the fact that they didn't take advantage of all the opportunities they had meant they left that game with just 1 goal

Sporting played against Casa Pia, I confess that this was a result that shocked me, how could a team allow them to concede 8 goals? 5 goals were scored in the 1 half and there was no player from the home team who had a red card, so they conceded 5 goals in 45 minutes even though they were playing with full players. in the second half there was only Sporting causing danger and scoring more goals. At the end of the game there were 8 goals scored by Sporting, I've been commenting a lot here about how Sporting has had a good attack in the last few games. It looks like it won't be easy for Benfica to overcome Sporting

Placing bets on these teams that failed to maintain consistent performance is worthy wise idea, my suggestion should be playing on top teams...

This has been my strategy since last season, most of the time I place a multiple bet on the top 4, but I don't place these bets on the league cup or any other championship, it's exclusively in the Bwin League that I've found this opportunity and it has paid off

I was quite surprised by Sporting's result yesterday, scoring 8 goals in one match is quite difficult  Shocked
A very important detail, these 8 goals scored can be excellent at the end of the championship if the team needs a tiebraker, it is difficult to happen but it can help the team in the future
Benfica and Porto conceded fewer goals than Sporting, but now Sporting's goal difference is very good, with a 34-goal difference

Benfica won 4-1 away from home.Although Estrela scored the first goal, Benfica managed to come back. There were 3 goals in the first half and Benfica closed the first half 2-1 ahead.Benfica started the second half fast and increased the difference to 2 with Otamendi. The match was already at the breaking point when Estrela was red carded and left 10 men.The goal that decided the score of the match came from Marcos Leonardo.
Sporting Lisbon demolished Casa Pia at home. They rained goals and scored 8 goals in total.Sporting, who scored 5 goals in the first half, did not let up in the second half and scored 3 more goals.Sporting did not even give their opponent a chance and continued their leadership with this win.

I would have liked Estoril to win the title because they're a smaller team, and they came very close, started winning, conceded a goal but still managed to hold on until the end
I thought they'd do it, as often in championships a team wins several games on penalties
But even in second place the team deserves all the credit, they were ahead of the top 4 and they should be proud.

I should place my bets on Porto again today
Placing bets on these teams that failed to maintain consistent performance is worthy wise idea, my suggestion should be playing on top teams. It's not easy as it seems, you don't expect mediocre team to begin record winnings in matches because there's high level of competitive race in the league. For a start, Estoril stats this season, 5W 2D 11L which is trembling poor for the club in general. They're fighting to escape the relegation zone on the table, 15th position is no safe spot for the club, they just have to retrace their steps and fall back to winning matches as usual.

In the Portuguese league, there are teams with higher impacts in the league games and European contests too. Benfica, Sporting, Porto are most impactful in this regard. For Porto, they're doing well in the league and also have good performance records in the UCL too even though they weren't able to keep up with their good performance in their last league game which wasn't so acceptable. Same applies for Benfica and Sporting who's got their own record in the European cups too.

Benfica did well at securing the three points in their last game with a good goal margin. It only shows how set they are for the task put before them. Although a lesser performance wasn't expected from them though but they're definitely a stable team in the league. Currently it seems less competitive though as there are still weeks left and just these 3teams are trying to make good wave in the league. Over the years it's still these three that have been the most talked about because of the feats they've attained. One would be so sure to bet on these teams and their ability to keep progressing in points in their league games.

Farense and Porto will face today in san luis. Porto are third in the league table, 5 points behind leaders Sporting Portugal. Farense beat Casa Pia 3-1 in their last away match to move up to seventh in the points table. Farense is very strong at home, I think it will be a fight in today's match. But Porto's 5-0 win over Moreirense in their last match proved that their frontline has become much stronger. However, Porto is out of touch with the past records of the two teams. Based on recent performances I think both teams will score but the match will go in Porto's favour.

Damn, what a heartbreak for Estoril, they wasted historical chance to lift trophy. And not that they didn't didn't had chance against Braga - they actually were so close in penalty shootout. Bothteams were perfect in shootout, until Araujo, only left foot player in shootout who missed 5th penalty for Estoril.
For Braga this win is big thing, they don't have chance to lift trophies very often. It's their 3rd ever League Cup.

On Sunday we return to league action with 5 games, though, there is no big matchups. From big clubs only Porto is playing, they will face Farense away.

iam not believe estoril can reach to final league cup.
The team's performance in the Portuguese league has been poor and currently sits just above the relegation zone. However, in the cup competition, their displays have been exceptional and surprising. This is evident from their recent victory over the league leaders, Sporting Lisbon, in the semi-finals.
The two semi-final matches in the League Cup ended in dramatic fashion indeed. Braga narrowly won 1-0 against Sporting clube de Portugal, but Estoril won on penalties shootout against Benfica. I think Estoril is the easy opponent for Braga in today's match because of the loss of two big teams. I think Estoril can not take advantage against Braga. Both teams are likely to score but my likely prediction is 3-1 win for Braga to take home the League Cup title.

From what I saw, Benfica was playing with its best players and still lost in this game, although the game ended in a draw and needed penalties, I still see that if Benfica had been strong they would have managed to win in the 90 minutes. game, but Benfica couldn't win, Benfica didn't manage to score many goals in that game, they were very bad in that game and Estoril deserved that victory. Now just because Estoril were lucky to beat Benfica, it doesn't mean they have become strong, I see Braga with a good chance of becoming champions. Braga managed to beat Sporting in the 90 minutes

Braga managed to stop the cycle of many goals that Sport had been having in the last few games, which was expected, I say this because in Sport's last game, although they managed to win and scored 5 goals, they still managed to concede 2 goals, and this showed great fragility for Sporting's defense and in yesterday's game Braga just needed to remain very strong in defense and manage to score at least 1 goal to win the game, and that's what Braga did. With this victory, Braga reached the final. In my opinion, this defeat for Sporting and Benfica must have hurt a lot for these two teams because at least when a team in a season ends with a trophy and doesn't win the title, it helps when it comes to receiving criticism from fans and the club's management.

If Benfica or Sporting had reached the final and one of them won and became champion, then even if they didn't manage to win the league they would show some trophy to the fans. But nothing is lost for Sporting and Benfica this season. Both teams can still win:

1 - the Portuguese league
2 - Portuguese cup
3 - european league

There are 3 competitions that Sporting and Benfica can win and end the season with a trophy

I think not. But if they become champions, it will be something very incredible for them

I think I'll be rooting for Estoril, it would be a great achievement for the team as they've never won this competition

Estoril's goalkeeper helped the team a lot, he played a big role in helping the team

Estoril may be surprised, as they are playing well, despite the last few games in the championship not being positive. But, there is a new coach and the players want to show things. Besides, this is a different competition. Even playing with the best players, the test has little weight and ends up not being as motivating for the bigger teams.

Braga is better and has everything to win, but in this competition it is difficult not to believe in surprises, and Estoril will make history.

The motivation factor counts for a lot, I agree with you
For a big team, these competitions are not the focus, but for a smaller team, it can be the big chance to win a title, win the prize, and for many players, it will be the most important game in their lives
It's not so rare to see smaller teams beating big teams in championships like this

So far Estoril is leading 0:1 and I really would like to see upset of underdog. After all, League Cup isn't main tournament for big clubs, their priority is league and UEFA cups. But it will be very difficult for Estoril to keep a lead, now matter how many buses they will park. In whole 1stt half basicaly they had only 1 moment which they converted into goal.

I'm quite surprised that Estoril made it to the grand final  Shocked
And to tell you the truth, I'm happy that the final will be Braga vs Estoril, it's great to see a different team make it to the final
The goalkeeper Dani Figueira helped Estoril a lot and the team is to be congratulated for holding the pressure until the end
