I recently begin researching PoS coins, so far I know about dash, neo, nav, okcash, rdd and stratis.
What are your experiences, is it profitable to stake coins and in what pos coin is smart to invest, if it is smart to invest in pos at all?
Is there any list of all PoS coins?

I think the best Pos coin is Pivx, forked from dash and very interesting and also untraceable. You should visit their site read something about it. https://pivx.org/

I am allready staking some coins and also got something from staking. The more coins you have more profitable it is. You can even find calculator on internet. http://pivx.cryptonode.co/

MONK, XPTX, LINDA - these ones i've been look at but did not made any investments yet .

The pos coins a very interesting thing to consider but I wonder, normally when the market is down bitcoin and the rest are also down, these coin look to be in the contrary and working against the wind, or am I wrog?

Both XPTX and MONK are rare coins with relatively high POS.  It's their rarity that makes them good coins.  MONK Devi very active on twitter, XPTX dev is a little more in the background but active here on bitcointalk.  I think both of these coins have a very bright future.

I invested in MONK during the open presale period on Discord and it helped me get a lot of profit. The project is currently developing very well because it has received a lot of support from many celebrities in the cryptocurrency and investment community.

Stratis, RDD and OK don't have so much return.

If you are looking for undervalued high reward PoS coins you should inspect RAIN or SONO.
I will check both but SONO crashed from 25$ to 2.5$  Undecided

Thats a big difference  a big dump. This happen too on POS token but still I am holding it. I like the idea of Proof of Stakes, but sometimes other participants or devs are taking an advanatge.

You heck chere also for a,list of  POS coins:

What are the hardware/RAM requirements for staking? I understand that about any computer can stake 1 or 2 coins but what if you have 10 or 15 wallets open?

PIVX, MONK, LINDA, Ignition, XGOX and many other coins out there.
Add here the other small altcoins that can also be profitable in future. For instance, why do not invest into ATN or Riecoin? Meanwhile, I prefer not to risk much and support NEO and ETH. PoS is not bad at all, but not the best choice as well.

have bad experience with POS coin at past, but don't know about now. in past i stuck with 10k coins with their high rate stake, and the price really down from thousand satoshi to 1 satoshi in bittrex, maybe with POS you should know when to cash them out

That happened to a lot of coins based on a "super PoS" offering crazy rates like 750% or 400% per year. Obviously that created an exponential inflation, systematic dumping, death of the project.

That's why I feel so suspicious about any project promising absurd return rates, I've seen many die in recent years.

PoS is a solid idea, but one cannot expect to get rich over night.
that's what i think  Grin, with staking some people maybe think that their coins amount keep increased. but never think about the price in market. and that is my mistake, only in short time, people dump their coins and i late to sell

Is there any difference between POS-mining and masternodes. As I can see you just need to keep some coins at your wallet. Is it?

For "regular" PoS all you have to do is keep some coins in your wallet and then, pending on the coins's tech specs, you'll mint some more coins after a certain maturity period.

In order to setup a masternode you must lock a specific number of coins in your wallet and you'll get rewarded for that, also pending on the coin's specs.

Yes, it is profitable. There are several good PoS projects but I have to suggest DMD as it has been one of the most successful PoS v3 implementations and gained >1900% value in 2017.

I've heard of diamond somewhere last year but didn't put too much attention to it.
I'll do some research but to be honest 1900% sounds too good to be true  Undecided
Thanks all for answers.

Too good to be true? Not really, check it out:

Jan 1, 2017 -  $ 0.21

Dec 31, 2017 - $ 17,95

It had a spectacular growth so many altcoins had, that's all!

Look into MONK, XPTX and RAIN.  All good staking coins.  Monk is especially good right now because it's still rare.
I agree with you on Monk, and from what i have heard the rewards will get lowered after the masternode release, making it even more rare.
Now is a really great time to buy some Monk - and get at least 1% per day from staking.

I suggest you also do your research on Proof of Capacity. Read this article on why PoC is better than PoS.

Going further – a PoC and PoS comparison

There are also other articles in the Hacker Noon website. The site is known to be the home of the smart cryptocurrency investors, unlike the other sites recommended by the newbs here. Try searching for Alex Scott's articles about PoC.
