That alt is seemingly popular as of late also I have heard many good things about Pearl. These two projects seem to be the hottest ones in 2018, I wonder which one will end up on top.

it is profitable if you have lot of POS coin ammount that you stake in, the more coin you have the more proffit that you will get.
ALTCOM & peercoin ( PPC ) is my POS based coin investment, not so profitable to stake but its OK since Im running this coin on my mining RIG. so my PC have to mined POS & POW simultaneously Grin

There are a lot of pos coins around, for some it's profitable for others it isn't, it really depends on the coin.
Check coinmarketcap.com and look through the top 100.

POS is okay, but I don't feel like it's a major selling point. I wouldn't search out coins on the basis of them being pos.
