I've also experienced this problem. Can you explain this further please? the post that was deleted is like a comment to other post, just like I'm doing right now.. will this be consider as spammy? thanks

This post is definitly not going to be deleted (hope that no mod is going to proof me wrong now ;-). What I meant are posts like "very helpful, thanks!" replies or posts which clearly advertise projects/icos etc to an inappropriate audience or in an inappropriate context.

Quoting a post, be it partially or totally, is not considered spam (although quoting entire large posts is not necessary (unless for forum global reference) and is normally not appreciated – best to focus on specific extracts). It is the content you add to it that may be considered spam if it has no substance to it.

Looking over the Modlog (https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php), I’ve seen that you have had two deleted posts recently: one on Marketing your blockchain project) and the other on Bitcoin core v0.17.0. You may still have a draft (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts) of what you wrote, so looking over them you may give you a clearer picture of what may have led them to be deleted.

You should get a PM which says why your post was deleted. Usually its because of spamming activity, inappropriate content or misplaced advertising.

My posting has been deleted! was done by moderator or administrator?

Please advise the reason....

It might be for various reason.
1. Spam (if you create spam post then forum member will report against your post and as a result your post will be deleted by moderator)

2. Off topic (You have t post on on topic. If your post is off topic then it will be deleted. For example if you post your service related topic on altcoin discussion then it will be deleted.

3. If you create multiple post on a single row then all posts will be deleted except 1 post.
There might have many more reason.

I have noticed only 1 topics deleted of you.

1. Did you receive any PM regarding your banned post? if so, quote it here so that we can help
2. Was the post a reply in certain thread?

1. It is because you violated some rules
2. The thread where you posted violated some rules
3. Maybe admin just want to delete your post (and it happens most of the time)

So far I think your post is not up to the mark to question maybe your post doesn't contain informative information which is extremely needed for making a qualified post. Do not worry keep learning and be attentive to the forum it will be okay very soon.

If for any reason you want to revisit the content of your deleted post, you can browse through your set of post drafts to see it it is still there, accessible here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts.

Sometimes posts get deleted and you do not receive a PM indication of this fact. Last week, I had a post of mine deleted on this same board (Beginners & Help). I did not get any notification and wondered if someone had considered it off-topic (as I could not see any other possible reason). The thread is still around, it is not self-moderated, and also seemed to have had two or three additional posts form high ranked members deleted. That seemed odd, as those posts were on topic in my opinion, but anyway …

If you haven't receive any PM that says your post has been deleted then expect that the whole thread you posted was deleted by the mod's. Reason? it has been said by most here.

I think that clarifies and gives you the idea on why posts are being deleted. They don't just delete post without any valid reason. Don't post to spam threads that has hundreds of page in replies because it will likely to be deleted.

My posting has been deleted! was done by moderator or administrator?

Please advise the reason....

There are two situations.
One is a normal post, which is reviewed by the moderator. The reason for deleting the post is usually spam or off-topic.
The other case is self-moderated topic, then it will be moderated by the person who created the thread, and may have some tendency of OP when deleting posts, such as OP does not agree with your view,OP not want you to post in his thread, etc.
So when you post, you should check if it is a self-moderated topic, this will help prevent you from being deleted multiple times. You can see this in the top of the first page of the thread, like this:
Code:
This is a self-moderated topic. If you do not want to be moderated by the person who started this topic, create a new topic.

It happens when whole topic is deleted. You get collateral damage.
I got several of my posts deleted because of this. Valuable posts, but in unlucky topic Tongue

It's mostly one of these reasons:

  • Your post is plagiarized
  • Your post is off-topic
  • Your post doesn't contribute to the topic (e.g. "wow", "thanks", "nice!", etc
  • Probably gravedigging

They mostly wouldn't delete posts at random just because they feel like it. You gotta check the quality of your posts so they don't get deleted for spam.

I think this your very topic is most suited in the meta section of the forum, you can move it by clicking on the "move topic" button on the bottom left side of your screen.

And why doesn't it suit in the "Beginners and help" Board?
S/he will get help here IMO. No need to move the topic

Posts/topics gets deleted/trashed either cos they are low content, off topic or simply garbage, I guess your post fell under one of this category.

But not to worry, every user on this forum sure has had one of his/her post deleted at a certain time or the other,so it's nothing too serious
