I also experienced it, from messages I received, usually posts that were deleted for off topic and posts that you commented on delete usually because the topic already exists that makes similar posts

I am experiencing the same thing now. I just noticed my post count doesnt reflect the post i have posted recently
You should do some backreading so that you will know the reason of your posts getting deleted. My advice to you is that choose the topics that you will be posting wisely. Read the title and the OP first and evaluate if that thread is not like those typical ones like "How btc change your life", "How's your experience in btc so far?". These kind of topics are the ones the gets mostly deleted by mods.

What's up with my posts getting vanished not being deleted and me receiving a warning about that.Any other person encountering that??I didn't break any forum rules too
Maybe your thread or post is in wrong section. Make sure that your post is in the right section if it doesn't sometimes it will just be deleted by the administrator.

Maybe your thread or the post is quite redundant , and me too I experience this kind of post or thread getting deleted and I'm just asking why , but then again one thing I learn is always read , and be on right section if you wanted to post a topic with bitcoin go to bitcoin discussion , and don't be discouraged if ever you will have it again , make it as a motivation.

Moderators doing their job to delete the useless thread, it is natural. I had some of my posts deleted in this recent days because i see my posts count is decreased a bit.

Maybe this can be one reason why they don't care/know about merit (I guess a lot of them don't know/care about merits, because they are always on the edge at the weekend when the campaigns counts posts.).

I guess not all low ranked member who only care about post counts, there are some of them that care about merit and ranking up too because some of them only use 1 account. The only answer why some of them dont care about merit and only care about post counts is because they have a lot of alt accounts even though the rank is not high, and they need to fulfill the minimum posts per week. Imagine if someone have 10 accounts, then he must post 250 posts per week, and most likely they will spam in the same megathread, so when threads are gone, then all the 10 accounts wont get the payment.

It is highly likely your post/thread is in the wrong section kindly check which section you are posting so your post will not get obliterated.

The good way to do is never post a not relevant idea for any forum's topic. Do not repeat what others post and do not spam because spamming is prohibited in this forum. Always check your post because maybe you are made  posting not connected to the thread. And alsi you should make post with a proper manner because posting a personal matter will cause to remove you post.

But don't be discouraged it is normal for us as a begginer instead use this as a motivation to learn more and to share your ideas and thoughts to help others in this forum.

Thank you.

Even me.  I was encountered this lately my post is atmost 189 but now it is only 172. The only way I think is the thread where I replied was being deleted by the moderators.

The only time I experienced this, was when I posted what shouldn't have been a post. It got deleted and I was mailed as well. So check if your posts are actually relevant to the topic being discussed and if it's in the right forum.

As I was reading this topic, something has popped into my head...
I can be absolutely wrong, of course, but it seems that most of the jr. members, members are not complaining about the merit system but about the post count. It seems that it's a bigger problem for a newbie, jr., or for a member that some of the posts are deleted (trashing spam megathreads, deleting reported spam posts, etc...) because they have a minimum post requirement in the signature campaign. They don't really care for the merits to be able to rank up, because they are struggling with the post count, in order to stay in their sig. campaign. If they can create the necessary post count easily (which don't vanish in a week) they will care about the merits too, I guess, but until then, they will just fight for their life in the meaning of the weekly post count... It seems that they are more or less happy if they can maintain their position in their campaign (even if they don't rank up ever) because it worths for them at that specific rank.
Maybe this can be one reason why they don't care/know about merit (I guess a lot of them don't know/care about merits, because they are always on the edge at the weekend when the campaigns counts posts.).
So, to sum up, my idea is:
Let's continue to nuke the spam megathreads, because it seems that spammers are more interested in the post count and they will care more about their deleted posts (and don't care about the lack of the merits...)
It's not enough to lock the spam megathreads, because it doesn't affect the post count. I don't care if some of my posts are also deleted if it helps to clear the forum somehow...

It seems like less work to just close the topic in question if it has already been answered satisfactory.

There also needs to be some sort of notification that a post has been flagged and/or deleted.

I've had 3 posts deleted that I can't even tell which ones those are.

If someone is doing a signature campaign then they need to post a certain number of posts a week.

If we can't know in advance that our posts will be accepted then they will just post more often which will result in more junk posts.

This whole situation can be avoided by just closing posts that have already been answered.

I think I'd experienced just several weeks ago, on that time I participate in sigcamp and usually I notice very well every posting that I've made for the sigcamp. But I surprise when calculation carried out, there is my stake rewarded 0 and after I check my posting there are several posts were missing...What a bah day for me then my posting number is less then the requirements.....Perhaps my experience is same with you

Once in a while moderators used to transcanning spamyard thread. These threads will be deleted or move to offtopic limit. So if you made any posts on any of those thread earlier or in this week. It may get deleted bro.
Hope you choose the needful assistance thread while you are making posts there.
Even some self moderated threads also will not get the posts deleted mate. Good luck...

I think it would be a nice feature of the forum if the users would receive notifications that the thread containing their post(s) was deleted by the moderator or administrator. I guess that it's possible to realize this improvement on the Simple Machines.
I don't think so, your posts in megathreads will obviously get deleted and if you have a lot of them is would be considerable, imagine all of the members who have posted in that thread and all of them will receive some kind of notification why their post got deleted. And I think the main reason why you are asking why your posts are being deleted is because you want your minimum post count in your signature campaign to be match. My advice is go on thread where you think are not megathread or thread who have the same spammy answers to a simple question.

yes it may be so, post can not be deleted by the moderator if the post is in the correct position, you must make a useful post in place in the right position so as not to be erased

I don’t want to review your posts, but even your replies are good, add posts in a general topic with hundreds of replies it's just spam[So even if your post is good, it will be lost].

Time to sell?, When will the market recover?, Why buy ETH? ...etc

Is it easy to predict if the topic will be deleted or not?
When posting in a general topic containing more than 1000 replies, most of your post has already been mentioned and rest will be lost due to the large number of posts.[thus all your reply has become useless]

I've had several posts deleted, and it is usually after I have posted in a thread that has been necro-bumped, and I have reported the thread. I used to get stressed about it, but on reflection, I believe that this is the correct action for a moderator to take. I just wish they would lock more of the old threads.

Topics can be deleted due to following reasons:
1. If you posted a useless or pointless topic that does not contribute new knowledge to the bitcoin community.
2. If your topic is not related to the thread where you posted it.
3. The idea of your topic is almost the same with someone else's posts, especially if you posted on a thread with hundreds of replies.

That is why we should see to it that our posts are constructive and useful enough so it wont get deleted. Lets be cautious on what we are posting, and lets improve the content of our topics.

More you have reports of garbage posts, more you will be noticed by moderators. if your posts are in a mega thread they would lock it instead of trashing the whole thread. and if I'm a mod, I would remember your contributions and would find your meritorious posts to merit them.
