IMO simply clone the coin with fair parameters (no premine, good diff adjustment), no need to watch out for any bagholder's (dev included) feelings.

Most of this coins success would of been the name however. If you clone it you have to call it something completely different.

Many of the old timers still remember the JackpotCoin name.

It won't get released because the community and the previous dev of Jackpotcoin couldn't come to an agreement.

Lets make a vote between old coins holders. But I think they will choose 3. Or u can see that 1 won.

None of the old coin holders want to lose everything and start over from zero. The previous dev. included. But I'm sure all of us with JPC coins are willing for any kind of compromise where we get something out of a re-launch.

Basically from what I discussed with the previous developer is this,

He is willing to go with a 1:1 swap that will be included in the premine. There will be a swap period and those coin holders still alive will send me their wallet and I will record their JPC balance. The amount of premine required is uncertain because nobody knows how many of these coin holders are active in the Bitcoin world.

Looking at the rich list:
http://explorer.jpcpal.com/richlist.php

Taking the Top 10, results in almost 3 Billion coins.

Hence the coin swap premine will be most likely at least 10%. Maybe even up to 20% premine.

So if the community feels comfortable with this figure we can proceed from here. But if this huge premine makes the coin have no chance of getting any investors, miners, pools, exchanges then it seems like it would be nothing but a huge waste of time.

I don't understand the point of a relaunch with a coinswap. Why not resurrect the old chain then? It's pretty much the same.

Based on the votes I think it should just be forked with a new name.

Well I will let this thread develop and see what others suggest and we will consider all our options.

Its just that I know its going to be very difficult in getting any exchanges to list this coin with a huge supply already outstanding. The 1% premine I would even reduce to 0.5% or get rid entirely.

I bet a big portion of those account holders in the Rich list has moved on by now and will not be heard from again.

How about giving all current JPC owners a period of 1-4 weeks to come forward and if they do not then their JPC will be gone forever? People with interest in this coin will check in atleast monthly right?

I am looking at the bitcoin market to win another new casino.
I do not fully understand whether you have a mining CPU or a full mining? If normal mining is being done with the CPU, is it being removed in the same way as Monero?

my thought is, this coin will still be lucrative and profitable if the new team will handle this properly, if the coin regain it's previous status it will be enough to attract more investors and traders that will get engage with this coin, it is really a jackpot if we move it back on it's previous glory.

In just a few hours 26 people voted and more wrote in this thread.. I didnt get a chance to vote my self since the vote was turned off.. but my point is.. there is still interest in JPC Cheesy

Yes there is huge interest in this coin. So that's why I am leaving this thread open so everyone can come to some consensus. We need to reach some agreement so the old coin holders are happy but so are the future investors in the new JPC.

I vote for #2 or #3

I have several accounts on the richlist and im prepared to lose some coins but not everything. If the choice is to lose everything then I'm out.

If the blockchain is intact then why not try to make the best with it. Why not ask the "rich" JPC owners to give back coins and put them into a reward program for miners or something like that? I rather lose half my coins than all of them.

or if the majority of old owners agree then force certain percentage of the coins from old owners to go back to rewards for miners etc. if possible of course.

Maybe change from billions of coins to millions.... exchange 1000 for 1 or at least 100 for 1 .... then take 10-20% from all old JPC owners coins and put into a reward program. Is it possible?

I think JPC could be great again but not if we start from ZERO.... just my opinion.

Alright we'll I got a bit of bad news.

Unfortunately the old developer is not going to let us start a new blockchain without the old coins. We would need to perform a coin swap. And like the previous poster mentioned we need to get rid of the 1% premine and instead make a portion of the block reward go to the developer.

Now with the massive amount of old coins still in existence the amount of programming that would have to go into the coin is just outside of my programming scope. I would be able to perform it manually but it would be too labour intensive that way. Same with the amount of work that goes into recoding the coin to make the block reward split between miner and dev. I don't have much programming experience just can make a few simple small changes.

So it would be best if either the old developer or some new experienced developer can take over instead and perform what is required to get the coin launched again.

I will leave this thread open if anyone wants to volunteer.
