Hi everyone,
we have been talking on discord about switching from the planned 101 delegates to arks 51 to decrease block times. If we go with 101 delegates our block times will likely be ~16 seconds, whereas with 51 our block times will be ~8 seconds. This change is more of a preference at this point, considering the ~16 second settlement is millions of times faster than the current settlement time for the types of assets we are building this platform for, so we would like to hear from potential delegates and others in the community to see what they would prefer.

For those following the project, we've made a significant change to the phase 1 development. After careful research, we've decided to move forward with the project based on the ARK protocol instead of Lisk. This change will allow us to implement necessary functions of the swapblocks protocol faster and more effectively. Additionally, we believe that ARK's SmartBridge functionality will integrate nicely with the swapblocks DEX.

I think this is helping people be introduced into cryptos through something they are already familiar with, which is huge for the community. Typically when I talk to non-crypto people, they usually ask what do I use it for and have a hard time understanding it. However, when given use case examples, they get it. It's kind of like asking people to explain how the internet works. Most people don't know how it works but they know what they do on the internet.
Thanks Gwyneth, agreed. Decentralized money is a great think, but DLT can be applied to all types of use cases. Financial markets is one of the biggest and to date, no other project has articulated a way to manage compliance (particularly cross-border) in a way that is efficient in a changing environment. That's what we're trying to solve and we believe our consortium model is well-suited for the job. It also enables greater price visibility and stability for users as well.

Yes both! We're going to be launching the bounty program shortly after we raise some initial funds via pre-sale. Then we'll likely launch the airdrop sometime between then and the public sale. you should see the bounty and airdrop distributions in the coin distribution section of the website.

Ambitious, but the market opportunity is huge. Another strength of the model is that the platform allows others in the community to build upon it because, unlike Ethereum dApps, it's a full platform. What we hope to accomplish is a robust market ecosystem that is managed by a large number of entities building applications on the platform.
Do u view urself as an opportunist? What specie are u that u crawled to here with ur mouth wide open delivering dithyrambs to someones coin that u dont even own. Sorry for the confusion, SWAPBlocks isn't a rebrand of Paper. It's a new project with different founders and goals. SWAPBlocks goal is to simplify the back office operations associated with regulated asset management/exchange (stocks, bonds, real estate, cars, etc...) and uses a DPOS blockchain for settlement. Paper seems to be more focused on supply chain tracking
But u are not "several founders", are u? Why call urself in plural. Be what u are, shilly newbie ass talking to urself through bunch of alt accounts. When u have acknowledged what a midget u are, let this bubonic truth flow thru ur mind and help everyone picture this authentic image of yours. That could be helpful in radically changing participation in the markets if thats ur goal.
We have 2 co-founders, so I am 100% certain that the plural case is appropriate. As for the remainder of your comment, I'll let the community read our white paper and decide for themselves if they think we are "shills". Our paper is of a higher quality than the vast majority of the marketing "white papers" out there from both a technical and economic standpoint.

I really like the concept of tokens being independent of the transaction governance rules. Cost management seems more manageable as well.
