Didn't you read? Thats what causes the coin to fork. How would you feel if you were on the wrong blockchain along with all the other guys in that pool and you all end up loosing your coins. I lost 800 Catcoins that way. Sucked!! I like the idea of solo miners strengthening the network while pool operators figure out how to get their pools working. Fair is fair, and nothing can be more fair than everyone starting at the beginning.

Actually, this is still debatable question. I think it should be CPU. Just 'cause miners community is overloaded with GPU clones right now.

I lost close to 400 catcoins this way. Nyancoin needs to have a fair launch. I'd even go as far as to say give the first few blocks lower coin values so the early adopters within a few days of launch have an advantage, rather than all those with huge hashpower within the first 12 hours.
Also; a launch on time would be great. Catcoin missed it by an hour or two. Doesn't sound like a lot, but at 12am UTC it wasn't the best timing. On this side of the continent anyway.
