Wow you looked so good in prediction of bitcoin fluctuation in the market. Me too I'm just looking for $3500 to $4000 before end of the year, however I know it hard to get $4000 but we need to believe to the potential of bitcoin. Also we need to looked forward for any possibility.

Congratulations to those realistic predictions, we had hit $3,400 - $3,500 very soon. And it's more possible that we will be seeing it add another 20% before the end of the year. By 2018, I guess we have to see bitcoin very well at $10,000 and this is going to be the start of bitcoin seeing it at 5 digit value dollar.

Bitcoin prices are currently in the range 3400USD up to 3500USD, this is a very good achievement. Bitcoin prices increased rapidly in August. If you look at current rising trend then I am sure that bitcoin price could exceed 5000USD at the beginning of 2018. We are all optimistic that the more bitcoin is used the higher the bitcoin price. So continue to use and share knowledge about bitcoin that is known to others who are not familiar with bitcoin.

Ha nice! I was just laughing reading these posts about $3k-$4k by the end of next year being predicted like 9 days ago and now we're at $3400.

No way in hell btc will be $50k in 2018. I'd say absolute earliest it could reach $50k is 2020, but probably more like 2022. $10k is a great doable goal for next year though.

But is $3500 not high enough for you? Bitcoin price is really a very difficult task for even a experienced market analyst and I haven't seen a market that will have a bullish run for a year specially bitcoin. So I don't believed that bitcoin will be bullish in 2018.

Thank you for giving us a good vision for what the price of bitcoin maybe. 2018 will be really a good year for bitcoin specially their is a lot of activity going on regarding the block size. This will make bitcoin soar to new places if the block size increase has been implemented in the future.

Fluctuations continue to happen in bitcoin and all can happen, 50k USD / BTC in 2018 might happen, we have seen this year bitcoin price is very good and almost touch 3k USD. If this keeps getting better, I'm pretty sure it's 50k USD / BTC can achieved in 2018.

Well BTC is the most unpredictable currency in the world, one can't say anything with 100% belief about the saying, as we all know that it is widely volatile so sometimes the predictions go wrong but one of the prediction that have been made about it's price up to 50k in near future is not possible. It can reach to 5K in 2018 but not to 50k.

Slowness doesn't belong to Bitcoin. We are talking about one year, let me tell you what could happen in one year. Segwit gets activated, leading to 2MB hard fork. This will split into two major Bitcoins- out of which one is we are speculating now and other Segwit one. Segwit Bitcoin will be backed by >90% miners leading most of the users to switch over to it. Afterwards, in three-four months, Segwit bitcoin will take over Bitcoin Core's empire completely. Owing to small fees and fast confirmations, merchants will start accepting Bitcoin largerly.
So in broader frame, after one year, BTC (core) would be $500-600 something whereas BTC (Segwit) would be $10-15k.

It's better to wait and watch what happen to bitcoin. What we can do is just invest money into it and pray that it hits the jackpot real soon. Thoughts on bitcoin reaching the hallmark of 50 K is far from now. The technology is still evolving. Bitcoin is not magical currency which will turn to 50k like in one year. That's impossible. So better just keep doing what we do, save for now. And let bitcoin work for us. :-)

No one would able to answer your question since most people or all do have the same questions on mind on which what would be the price situation of bitcoin on upcoming year 2018. Knowing of on the new chapter on its life when theres an another coin related to it specially when it splits on august 1. We wont know and no human can predict on the things might happen later on that's why we always say numbers either or unrealistic ones.

$50k? I guess all the above replies made it clear that it's MOST PROBABLY impossible for bitcoin to reach $50k in an year.
If the forks go well, we get more investors (highly likely), more people shift to using bitcoins (highly likely) we can take bitcoin to around 4-5k USD.
I won't be surprised if an outbreak occurs and suddenly a lot of banks and institutions start accepting bitcoins it may even reach $10k+ in an year.
