i assume preev shut down their website because of low funding. they were not making any money from the website and obviously no one supported them with donations. so they were left with no options but to shut down the website.
CoinMarket cap added a Bitcoin price canvertor and since then I stopped using preev and use Coinmarketcap for this purpose only because there I can check prices of every coin.
all you need to do is to open the page of a specific coin and scoll down little bit. you'll see the price canvertor there. the only cons in this that it just shows prices in USD
I believe that everyone knows how to use CMC, even beginners. it is not the essence, but the simplicity of use.
How many ads need to be loaded or unnecessary information on CMC before you find useful information about the current price of some coin?
I just came another alternative (https://myri.io/) but it's worth noting that it gets it's prices from only Bitstamp.

I didn't think this site was so popular that all of these topics were created due to a hiatus and I also didn't think that many would try to create more alternatives so quickly.

I used to visit it at least twice a day to check bitcoin price (although I don't own much of it) and every time I was about to send or receive a transaction.
I liked it because it was fast, accurate and, most importantly, there were no ads.
I've been using preev.com for the past couple of days but with all due respect to examples and I appreciate his efforts, but they are incomparable.
Coinmarketcap is slow to load and not well optimized for mobile. It was way better before it got acquired by binance.
I just visited pnnv and it doesn't look bad at all (very similar to preev.com).thanks for the suggestion hb.

Base on the updated date of the domain, 100bit update there domain first before preev.net which means they might be the first to use it. But you have a point that this kind of format is available in public marketplace which means who is first doesn’t anymore if this software is for sale publicly.
This is a free script, it can be used by anyone who wants to.
otherwise, there are several shortcomings that could be improved, so this is only a temporary solution on preev.net

Don't forget google SERP also has its own just use the keyword "bitcoin price" and it should show the current price of Bitcoin. Coingecko and Coinmarketcap are also good alternatives.

I don't get why is preev so popular. The name is bad, the price is not as accurate as coinmarket or coingecko...

I am using google for bitcoin/eth price 
I know isn't the best solution but it is the fastest solution I have seen until now... preev was perfect service and really easy to use
