Unlike the previous season, when David De Gea was still Man United's goalkeeper, the club did not concede as many goals as last season. If Erik Ten Hag had not replaced him with Andre Onana, the club would not have experienced as many problems.

Blaming Onana completely is actually also bad. I think there are many factors when Man United concede a lot this season. You have to remember this season there are not many Man United defenders in good shape. Many Man United players are injured. So it was purely in the team not Onana. Ten Hag's strategy also has a lot of blunders. The players made a lot of mistakes. The flow of the ball from below does not go well, possession is easily lost. When under tight pressure, Man United is always weak to protect the ball. Many players are confused about where the ball will be given. It's a classic problem but Ten Hag has to work hard to eliminate these mistakes.
Onana became one of the most expensive purchases made by Manchester United to meet the request from Ten Hag, Onana was of course one of the players who made Manchester United have to spend a lot of money when Ten Hag came to Manchester United and had the desire to make Manchester United triumphant again, but in fact after fulfilling all ten Hag's requests and spending a lot of money, Manchester United fell in the second season of Ten Hag coaching,  Actually, Onana performed quite well with Intermilan and Ajax, personally Ten Hag knows Onana very well because the two of them used to work together when Ten Hag was still coaching Ajax.

Actually, the majority of players recruited by ten hag so far are good players, including their defenders, but for some reason it seems that they were only able to show good performance when they first joined and over time their performance actually declined drastically as it is today, the number of goals conceded at Manchester United at the moment of course we cannot blame individuals by Onana,  But indeed with their current squad, of course, we should question, how the scheme and game strategy applied by Ten Hag so far so that they can be so slumped.

It is difficult to finish in the top four, but United must have a good goal to keep them motivated. I believe the top four EPL in the upcoming season will be a reasonable ambition for United to achieve following the bad result recorded by united last season, and Ten Hag is still working on how to achieve that goal during the summer transfer season.

So funny Grin

People here call Anthony spin and win because of his ridiculous spinning skill amd whenever i hear the name i just burst into laughter. He is snow a laughing stock here in my area and it got worse when he only managed a single for an entire season.

It was a disappointing season for Manchester United but they were later compensated with a trophy and it is more than enough to serve as a motivation for the players to put in more effort next season. It is not impossible to make top 4 next season but Ten Hag needs to put in more work if they want to achieve that.
Did you say Manchester United was compensated with a trophy or they won it. Why are you talking down on the success of Manchester United. If they had lost, we would all bash them as well. But now they won, it has become a compensation. That's by the way.

Honestly, I have never known of Anthony's nick name "spin and win". It's funny LOL. That skill is very annoying when the team is not leading. So, he does the unnecessary skill when it is not needed. Manchester United might not make top 4 this season if they depend on players like Anthony to lead the way
No one is taking the trophy from them so relax, Grin I am not talking down on Manchester United Success of winning the FA Cup quite alright they won it and okay they were not compensated but you all are getting my point wrong, what i meant was that after having a terrible season trophy won was more like a compensation from the coach to the fans to keep believing in him but if we shouldn’t deceive ourselves Ten Hag is not capable to take United back to their old days of glory. I can see that from the teams style of play, a team with potential should be able to conquer small teams easily and have control of the game easily but we can’t see that from Ten Hag’s team.

Antony is still showing some childish act and that’s why it’s easy to bench him with Amad Diallo. He needs to grow and learn what to do ag the right time. He’s got qualities but it’s easy to bench him with someone better when does unnecessary things.

Onana did remarkably well in the middle of the season; it was unjust to hold him responsible for everything bad that happened to the united. To be honest, United's lack of a strong defensive line last season was one of the main reasons for their poor performances, even breaking the record for the most conceded goals in United history.

And many of United's defenders injuries greatly affected the team's performance. Ten Hag made some incorrect decisions, but the injured players made him do so.

Any factor contributing to United's poor performance in the previous season makes it challenging to blame Onana alone.

Yeah you are right in as much as Manchester United did not performed well on this season premier League doesn't  mean that the trophy they won was just a compensation to them, actually I totally disagree with what the person said because we all watch the match and see how difficult it was for Manchester City and Manchester United and unlike every matches Manchester United has played on this season that was actually one of the match they put so much energy and determination and at the end victory was there's, however even Pep Guardiola was very upset on that match because he was so disappointed on his boys because what he had in mind was to win the premier League and also the FA Cup.

Does Manchester United's decision to retain Ten Hag have anything to do with the victory achieved in the FA Cup? This success also means that Manchester United will play in the Europa League next season. If judged from achievements in the Premier League, Ten Hag has failed to make Manchester United a club that is ready to compete in the top four, so there is no reason for Manchester United to continue working with Ten Hag.

Whether or not Ten Hag will coach Manchester United next season is appropriate, only the club's board of directors will assess it, but the news currently spreading is that Ten Hag is still trusted to lead Manchester United next season. Many parties from outside the club began to regret this decision because there were doubts about his ability to take Manchester United in a better direction, these doubts arose after Manchester United failed to compete in an elite position this season.
One of them, of course, is that Erik Ten Hag managed to bring one of the trophies for Manchester United which gave him the full opportunity to continue coaching Manchester United. I think Erik Ten Hag performance has of course declined quite a bit because he failed to bring Manchester United through to the Champions League.

However, various speculations circulating after last season ended have been answered, with Manchester United management still giving Erik Ten Hag the opportunity for next season. I think we will see a better performance from Erik Ten Hag next season where he must be able to bring in quality players to cover the weaknesses in the team.

Ten Hag may not yet be able to prove that he is the right coach for Man United because last season Man United could not be consistent throughout the season and they even had to finish in 8th place which is the worst ever Premier League finish since 1990. Even so, what Ten Hag has been able to achieve in the last 2 seasons, I think is worthy enough to give him another chance because not many coaches after Ferguson's era could give trophies, while Ten Hag could get 2 trophies.

I think if Ten Hag can really sign Amadou Onana and a tough world class defender, then the target of the top 4 will be very possible to achieve, and even Man United also has the potential to get into the title race. The option to make a swap deal with Juventus regarding swapping Greenwood for Chiesa is also not a bad choice because that way Man United will have additional strength that can make a real contribution instead of having players who can't play for some reason.

Manchester United have officially retained ten hag as their coach next season, so there is a high hope for Manchester United to see their team can compete at least to be in the top 4 zone next season, I think the Manchester United squad this season has certainly been very good but the main problem of Manchester United at the moment is of course the storm of injuries that continue to befall their main squad, but apart from all that, we can conclude that there is indeed something wrong with the training pattern applied by Ten Hag so far that makes their players prone to injury both during training and in matches, so indeed in that case I think Ten Hag needs to evaluate and also make changes to his strategy and training pattern next season.

Antony is ten hag mainstay player during his time at Ajax, Antony performance and contribution at Ajax made ten hag specifically ask Manchester United to bring Antony to Old Trafford even though it was expensive, but it turned out that the expensive price was not in accordance with the expectations expected by Manchester United at this time, because now Antony actually appears only as an entertainer with his spin ball skills  Grin.

How Ten Hang miraculously escape from being sack as Manchester united head couch at the end of this season is enough motivation to make him more serious with his job and see how he can transform the team to top spot on the table in the coming season. Ten Hang really started well with United when he first arrived at old Trafford but things turn around along the way due to so many circumstances which include injuries as you mentioned and of course, his wrong decision too. Luckily, he manages to win them a trophy despite the challenges they faced. Anthony case is very unfortunate for united to acquire a player with such amount and can not deliver. My problem is not about how poorly he performs but how Ten Hang usually have faith in him despite not playing as expected.

Anthony isn't a bad player, what he does that really and mostly got me upset with him is that he doesn't actually knows when to dribble and when to Play business football, you will see a game that they are desperately in search of a goal, that's when Anthony will come up with one of his antics, and start turning with the ball, as if he is a ceiling fan, and to be frank, it's very very annoying, but aside that, he is a very good player.

And as for the Manchester united team, much improvement needs to be done and the team needs to be strengthen in this summer transfer window, because their performance in the league last season was really bad, even though they won a trophy, so they really needs to improve massively, so as  to be better than last season and even qualify for a place in the uefa champions league.

Even though many players are injured, Erik Ten Hag should be able to close this gap. A great coach can carry out good rotations and take various steps so that the club does not experience setbacks.
Manchester United has great players. I believe that if they can play solidly and the chemistry between players and coaches is good then the club will not easily experience setbacks during. This time Erik Ten Hag trains his players quite hard and makes the players feel uncomfortable which might make the Man U players not play optimally.

It is true that the club's defense last season was quite bad. I think this is because Ten Hag was not good at recruiting his back line players, especially the Man United goalkeeper. In my opinion Andre Onana cannot be relied on as a goalkeeper since he was recruited by Erik Ten Hag and filled his starting 11 not making many saves so often conceding goals.

Unlike the previous season, when David De Gea was still Man United's goalkeeper, the club did not concede as many goals as last season. If Erik Ten Hag had not replaced him with Andre Onana, the club would not have experienced as many problems.

I concur that Erik Ten Hag managed to win silverware for Manchester United, a significant feather in his cap and undoubtedly cause for upper management to throw their weight behind him unequivocally. Despite his performance taking a nosedive on account of his inability to steer the team into Champions League qualification, the vote of confidence shown towards him can be seen as a decision steeped in reason. One not devoid of sense. For he has, after all, shown his mettle in the past. The decision is tantamount to nurturing talent already proven, rather than taking shots in the dark.

Ten Hag, with the backing of management, has an open door to work on what is ailing the team. It takes both quality signings and a tactical tweak: these two could be the magic wand that sees Manchester United improve their performance next season. I'm hopeful about positive changes under his leadership, but let's not be blind optimists. A great focus must be placed to making the right changes because Ten Hag would need to conduct a detailed assessment of the team's play, seeking players who can truly mask these weaknesses.

No matter how many people mock United, I feel like we are going to end up seeing them be better again. What we have seen in the past decade or so, was Glazers family screwing the team over, and while even spending money, usually not their own money and they did not care, because the longer they held it ,the more money it worth and that's all they cared.

Now with Jim, we are going to see them do a lot better, we should probably wait a few more seasons at least, but I am pretty sure that they are going to get back on their feet. By that time, Pep will probably leave, and City will realize that Pep was their magic, so one day soon enough, in a few years, we will see Manchester be red again, just going to take some time.

Another Manchester United fan trying to give their self hope because what makes you think they will do better next season, if they had performed well I don’t see anyone that will mock them, or having you see anyone condemning Manchester City. No body will try it because they know exactly how Manchester city plays, so decisions that Glazers made might not have favored the club but his still the owner and no one is perfect so anyone can be wrong. They have less care for what they spend an not really bothered since am not a fan of Manchester City. Let’s see what both of them will end up doing doing what is best for the club because the kind challenges that Manchester United went through if the same should happen next thing the club will be having the same fate with Chelsea, pep is one of the best things that have happened to Manchester City. Well coordinated and smart a good coach he his.

Another fact is that Ten Hag has succeeded in incorporating young players into the main squad such as Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. This makes the club management satisfied and hopes that Ten Hag can include more young academy players into the main team.

But on the other hand I don't think that's enough for Ten Hag despite his faults. The fact that he's managed to bring some young players into good form like Garnacho and Mainoo this season is not matched by the failure of some of the players he brought in at the start of the season and Manchester United's rather mediocre performance in the EPL.

The problem started with Onana who could not develop even until the end of the season although his performance at the end of the season was slightly better than the beginning of the season but still this was a failure. In addition, bringing in Mount and Amrabat just to be a reserve player is ridiculous in the end so the success of making young players shine cannot be accompanied by some of Manchester United's bad conditions that still occur this is clearly complicated.

In addition, the talk about Ten Hag being replaced with a new coach now still remains hot and in recent days I read that there are rumors about Van Nistelrooy being linked with the coach of Manchester United next season although this is still a rumor but it could be that after the Euro we will see a surprise with Ten Hag leaving Old Trafford.

I like it when an individual reason differently from others in some critical matters. I have read we have so many people crucify Erik Ten hang for his poor performance in Manchester United and yet they refuse to point out other factors that led to the poor performance. Honestly you cannot hire a coach like Zidane, Ancelotti or Guardiola and give them the crop of players that are in Manchester United squad currently. They will either reject the offer or they will ask you to go to the market and buy consistent and the good players.

The first season when Erik Ten came to Manchester United, he did actually tried and ended that season 3rd doing good also in the European competition because he had some good players available. Judging him from the last season is not fair. This is because almost through others season, Manchester United defenders we are not available for Eric ten. Below is the list of unavailable defenders who could not make up to 70% appearance throughout the season;
  • Martinez
  • Maguire
  • Shaw
  • Malacia
  • Varane
As a coach, how will you be able to manage this and end in top 4?

What is poor will remain poor, there is no need to give excuses for failure. There are other teams that had players in injury and they still perform better. In the beginning of the season when most of the important players were active, it's not like Erik was killing it so I don't think the room of excuse i necessary. Let's even use Manchester City as example, Kevin had injury and their midfield becomes incompleted as Haaland wasn't doing well but his personal performance never stop them from winning, they improvise.

I just think the club will do what they want even though people drop their opinion but if they continue this way, the team are very far from reaching the Champions League, not even next season but if they buy and sell some players, there might be some changes. I will like to see that guy called Onana dispose immediately, that's there number one red flag they are not taking into consideration.

It looks like the FA Cup is not the only reason the club management is retaining Ten Hag. Winning the FA Cup trophy means that Manchester United will at least continue to win trophies this season, but I think if it's only the FA Cup and Ten Hag's performance is really bad then the club management has no reason to keep Ten Hag.

Many players have suffered injuries this season so this is also a problem for Ten Hag and he cannot be entirely blamed for United's poor performance in the EPL this season.

Another fact is that Ten Hag has succeeded in incorporating young players into the main squad such as Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. This makes the club management satisfied and hopes that Ten Hag can include more young academy players into the main team.

We all expected that with the help of Ten Hag, we will see Manchester United perform well this season. But this season also Ten Hag was unsuccessful as usual. And throughout the season we have seen erratic performances from Manchester United. Manchester United had a lot of talented players in their squad. However, we do not see any improvement in Manchester United's performance. Our expectations were higher from a team as renowned as Manchester United.

Manchester United has appointed a new coach. It cannot be said for sure whether this team will do well in the next season. Manchester United's overall condition is now weak. Major changes must be made within the party. And Manchester United need experienced players.
I know that Erik ten Hag will stay with Manchester United for one more season according to transfer market information. You say Manchester United have changed their manager this season but I haven't heard any news about it till now. Manchester United were not satisfied with the performance of the current manager and wanted to remove him from the job but due to the lack of a good quality manager, they have relied on this manager for one more season. If there is a new strategy to be implemented, then Erik ten Hag will definitely want to apply that strategy to succeed. If Erik ten Hag can do well next season, Manchester United may extend his contract.

Manchester United is most probably going to go into the next season having the coach that they have right now, Ten Hag. So far the coach has not been approached or said anything about being fired from the managerial position of Manchester United. I talked to even though he was able to win the FA Cup, he is still going to be fired. But I guess the FA Cup saved his career.

They are actually good quality coaches. Those are just not available. A few weeks ago I heard that Zidane was interested in managing Manchester United. What happened to that? If he was interested himself and Manchester United did not approach him, I have to say Manchester United authority is just dumb.

Anyway, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that MU wants to bring Ruud Van Nistelrooy to Old Trafford. Last week Burnley posted they are trying to appoint Ruud Van Nistelrooy as their head coach, maybe that deal will not happen if Ruud Van decides to accept Ten Hag's offer to become part of Old Trafford and join Ten Hag’s coaching staff. Returning of Ruud Van will add another twist  Smiley
