It is over for Manchester United in the Premier League. The final week matches don't matter for them as they don't have any chance left for top 6.  Sad

However there is still a chance to qualify for the Europa League. But they have to win the FA Cup trophy for that. Does anyone believe in them to do it against Manchester City? To tell the truth, I have near zero faith in them. Because Guardiola is really unstoppable now. I think he will start with winning the Premier League first and then it is going to be the turn of FA Cup.

I'm wondering what Manchester United is planning to do this summer. Will they continue with Erik ten Hag? No matter they do or not, they need to work hard on player signings certainly.

Yeah, but the season is not completely over. They Manchester United will be facing Manchester City in the FA Cup Competition come the last few days of this month. Erik Ten Hag has seen some players return from Injury but will they be able to impact into the team during the finals? I'd say yes! But, I'm sure against Brighton tommorow, they'll definitely win.

They have no other option but to do that winning against Manchester City. In my opinion, I don't even want them to move any European Competition as they should put all focus on improving and development of the club. Pep Guardiola unstoppable? Even Tottenham Hotspur could hold them down, now what's up?

They have had recent meetings over him staying or appointment of a new coach but they're yet to make conclusion and I don't blame them if they have plans of sacking Erik Ten Hag.

Well in this case I think many things have been said, I honestly don't think MU is going to beat Man City, the truth is I find it very difficult, it could happen yes, but I don't think so. That, in fact, Ten Hag's situation has worsened, in the English press it was reported that Ten Hag does not want Bruno Fernandes to be in the team, when CR7 left, Bruno Fernandez himself supported all of Ten Hag's decisions, and that He thought his partner's departure was good, could this be karma? Well if so, well deserved or has it, this makes one think that if the MU does not come out of this Technician it is clear that it is the biggest mistake in the history of this team and that they have not yet woken up from that nightmare that got them into this.

Pep Guardiola can go ahead talking and yapping but the officials and VAR has helped them on several occasions this season even when they was wrong. So what's with the delay after the 115 charges against them? Why haven't we seen no point deduction already?

I don't think we are going to see Manchester City getting punished despite having a ton of charges against themselves.  Sad  This is one of the things that I don't like in football.

Big and rich teams are always likely to be favoured. For example you know about Everton right? They got a points deduction by federation decision. But Manchester City still doesn't get anything despite being who knows how many times guiltier than Everton. People are discussing what kind of a punishment they should get, like being demoted to the 2nd league etc.. But I believe none of the things they discuss will come true.

Screw them and whatever they have to say, the delay reminds me of how the feds took and delayed before turning and sentencing FTX owner to jail. It's same with Manchester City as they have decided not to look into the matter. That said, Manchester City has been a good side since Pep Guardiola came in and I'm so glad.

Everton pulled up after several point deduction and stuff's, I'm so damn proud of that club, as Sean Dyche and his lads has done well. They should probably deduct them points and see them relegated.
Whoever commits must also be punished for his sins and stuff.

Against West Ham United tommorow, let's see as the Var, goes on to favour them. Anyways, gunner's did well, but they should do better next time than to rely on someone else's win to win the Premier League Competition.

This season has already ended. Chelsea should focus on how to improve their performance next season.

~snip~

Not yet actually.  Smiley  They still need to fight for the win on the final game week to not only secure the Conference League chance but also to make an attempt to capture 5th place.

Honestly I think their place in the league table won't change. It looks really difficult for Chelsea to get past Tottenham now. I'm saying it considering that Tottenham wouldn't lose to Sheffield just like that.  Grin  But all in all, Chelsea have been really impressive on the last weeks. There is a huge improvement in the results. I think Pochettino should stay and focus on improving the chemistry with the players to fight for bigger goals next season.

Chelsea were previously ranked 10th and with only a few match left of course many of us are pessimistic if Chelsea can compete for a Europa League slot next season, Chelsea are slowly starting to find form and consistency in their current game and even after being crushed by Arsenal in week 32 ,  Chelsea were able to bounce back unbeaten in their last 5 matches, indeed quite surprising with what happened to Chelsea at this time, so I think maybe Pochettino has indeed found Chelsea best game scheme at the moment.

Currently Chelsea performance has improved and their chances to play in the Europa League next season are of course very wide open, Chelsea are currently ranked 6th but they have the potential to still be able to play in the Europa League next season if they beat Bournemouth in the last match and hope Tottenham lose from Sheffield United so that Chelsea and Tottenham both have 63 points,  But from the goal difference, of course, Chelsea is still better than Tottenham, but besides that Chelsea can also still play in the Europa League next season if they win or draw against Bournemouth, so that ending the season in rank 6 or bove Newcastle or Manchester United later, in addition to having to be able to stay in rank 6, of course Chelsea must hope Manchester City can beat Manchester United in the FA final later,  So that way the Europa League slot through the FA champion will be given to rank 6, because Manchester City has ensure playing in the UCL next season.

The final match for City is against West Ham and with West Ham, who have been very poor this season, you can already imagine how much City will be able to fight. Well City won’t real struggle in that match as they will sure possess West Ham and be able to get the job done in the first half. Well Arsenal fans can keep their hopes alive as they maybe needed for next season because it’s obviously over for them this season.
I can't expect how West Ham will beat City or draw and Arsenal will win the EPL trophy this season. It was impossible to expect such a possibility. Arsenal fans have to give up the EPL trophy and hope that Arsenal can perform better next season. This does not mean being pessimistic, but fans must be aware that Arsenal's chances of winning the EPL title this season are very small. City will field its best players. They play at home. There is no way they will miss out on the EPL title after poor results in the UCL. They will celebrate City as champions of the 2023/2024 Premier League. And City still has the possibility of getting a double winner if they are able to beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

I'm actually thinking to place a bet on West Ham tomorrow because I have a feeling City will catch a bad football day and the final result won't help them become champions. I also believe it's time for Premier League to have another winner besides City and Liverpool because in this way this league is becoming a bit boring just like Bundesliga ( where Bayern had 10 consecutive titles ) and if that is the case, I prefer to watch other leagues instead of Premier League.

Also , is it true that VAR will be removed next year if teams will vote for it ?  Shocked
Although it is unlikely to be able to get a refund from the results of your bet later, but I really salute your thoughts that seem to really want a surprise to happen in the last game of the Premier League this season, if you look at the odds given by the gambling exchange against the possibility of West Ham winning at odds is 17.00, of course if you are lucky you will be able to get a sizable payout later from the bets you make,  But to be honest for the last game I am quite pessimistic if Manchester City will draw let alone lose to Westham, because after all Manchester City will certainly field all its best players in the match to be able to win and maybe even with a very big score.

Nowadays VAR often causes controversy and even still teams that feel aggrieved by referee decisions after checking VAR, one example of course you still remember when Arsenal dropped points last season against Newcastle and Brentford which caused the VAR referee to be fired at that time, previously the use of VAR was intended to make all competing teams get justice in refereeing decisions but in fact now we often see that it is not happens at all, so it is very natural that many teams are demanding the abolition of VAR in the Premier League, whether or not VAR is removed will of course be decided after a meeting of 20 Premier League clubs in June and the fate of VAR will be determined through the results of voting later.

Those who still believe that Arsenal still has the opportunity to win the league are Arsenal fans and again I think they don’t know Manchester City and what they are capable of doing, Manchester City will beat Westham with more than two goals in the game, many Arsenal fans and also the team are still waiting for Manchester City to play against Westham and see the result so that they can see what will be their plan, there is nothing for arsenal to plan because Manchester City 99%  sure to win the league, Westham that don’t have a good performance this season want to challenge Manchester City and stop them from winning the title, Even Arsenal know that Manchester City will beat Westham.

I saw a news yesterday, I don’t know if it is real or fake, Kudus the wing player of Westham say he will try his best against Manchester City and make sure they fight and allow Arsenal to win the league, I just laugh when I see the news because it sounds as funny to me, Kudus that find it difficult to score throughout this 2024? I just don’t want us to discuss more it but we will see what will happen next after the game of Manchester City and Westham.
Well we say they’re delusional to think they will be able to win the league against an inform Man City side who have been very fierce towards this last season of the EPL campaign. Well, you can say that this season the run by Man City has been one very fierce one and you can obviously say that Arsenal stands no chance.

I think they should rather motivate their players to put in better performance next season then the league could be theirs. The idea of relying for your neighbor to help you hold a Man City side that’s fierce to a draw so you can be able to get the league is pretty crazy because that can’t happen. My prediction is for City to win West Ham with over 3 goals and not even 2.

It is worth giving a chance to West Ham on the last week. Especially for the people who want to see Arsenal winning the title.  Grin  I'm also thinking so but I assume I would prefer double chance on West Ham. It also has quite attracting odds honestly.

It is high time a different team managed to make it to the Premier League title. Arsenal are this close to doing it for the first time in who knows how many years. I hope that loss against Aston Villa a couple of weeks ago doesn't cost them too much. But on paper it is likely to be seen.  Sad  I'm still a West Ham fan tomorrow.  Tongue

Only true Arsenal supporters will bet on West Ham hoping to win against Manchester City, even if you say you won't watch the EPL anymore because it's boring it won't make this league go bankrupt because they will continue to be a league that will be watched a lot even if we find a new champion. in the EPL this season, you mean the new champion this season is Arsenal, because only Arsenal has a chance to win and so you think that Manchester City will have a bad day when they lose to West Ham.

In front of all the supporters Manchester City will play as hard as possible to win even if it is only a narrow win, Guardiola will field all the key players he has just to win this match, I am sure everyone will bet realistically because Manchester City is far superior in terms of strength. let alone playing at their home ground, how can Arsenal supporters expect West Ham to play as a guest and then beat Manchester City, if I were you and was an Arsenal supporter, I would rather not bet at all than waste money betting on West Ham, very sad but whatever it's your choice, I believe Manchester city will win the EPL again this season because Arsenal is not really ready to win the title this season except next season or without Arteta.

Arsenal's fans are probably hoping that Man City will be eaten by the huge pressure of the game, and that would be the only reason they could possibly not win the game. Having over 50 thousand fans expecting nothing but a win could be intimidating to some clubs, but I don't believe that, at this level, Man City would have players cracking under the pressure.
If anything, they've proven plenty of times this season that the support of their fans has an uplifting effect on the team. They haven't lost a single game at home this season and noted 5 draws at home, but mostly against the teams from the very top. And again, West Ham have nothing at stake other than a rivalry for its own sake.
City not winning is simply not an option.
Handling pressure in the title race has become a common circumstance for Manchester City for the last 7 years. It's Arsenal that feel more pressure in this situation. Their loss against Aston Villa have costed their lead over Manchester City. Arsenal have themself to blame, because competing with Guardiola's Manchester City need a perfect form without dropping points when closing to the ending of the season.

Hoping Manchester City to lose at their home in crucial game is like hoping a miracle to happen. They have quality and mentality to win a game in crucial circumstance, even if they concede first like it happened two season ago in the last game when they competed against Liverpool. Beating West Ham won't be a tough task for Manchester City, and we will just see Manchester City lifting the trophy in the end.

Yea, at this point of the league Manchester city can handle any team because they are use to this kind of situation, anyone hoping that Manchester city will lose or draw is just wasting his/her precious time, I am not a Manchester city fan but I have been consistently following them up for a while, at this they always prove to their fans that they are very superior, Arsenal really need to go back to their drawing board to workout modalities on how to effectively stop this from happening, as a team that wants to win match, the have to be consistent in their performance to enhance their success.
Arsenal don't have to rely on other team to win the league, I think thats why they are always getting it wrong, I don't see anything that will make Manchester city not to win this match today, arsenal should prepare for next season and make sure that they don't keep making the same mistake every season.

There are many Arsenal fans here, if they're believe Arsenal will get the trophy, they must have to bet for Arsenal instead of wait and see. If they didn't dare to bet Arsenal becomes a champion, it means they're not Arsenal fans. Cheesy

It's crazy if they want to remove VAR because this will make mafias able to bribe the referees to make fixed match or make a team become the winner.

Chelsea's performance is getting better towards the end of the season, although I also think it will be a big challenge for them to get the title anytime soon, but with time, I believe they will get it because Chelsea have been a great team before. They lost their performance for some time, but I can see that they are gradually building the team back again, and they are coming back with very good performances, so I think we should be expecting something big from them by next season since this season is about to end.
Chelsea have indeed been collecting better result towards the end of the season. This should be a progression that should be continuously improved till next season. They should never have an idea to sack Pochettino who is responsible for this improvements, because another manager has no guarantee to do it better, continuity will have better effect than applying instant upgrade.
A good progress showed at the end of season. This saves pochettino's position. he is now knowing better about how to use his current squad and reduce his high risk decision making to keep play offensively till the end of game.

Chelsea should not put high target for the manager and the players next season, because this improvement won't work well if the players feel a bigger pressure. Finishing top four position next season should be realistic for how the league has been progressing, Challenging Guardiola's Manchester City is too big to be a target for current Chelsea.
A high target is required to motivated all of them, but it must be set even higher than it is now caused by you must also able to pressure your team to perform even better than this time and this is how a professional club. How can you motivate them without even setting a high goal? It's basically the same as when you work for the company but the company gives you a high target for your job. A higher target will motivate you to work even harder to achieve it and this is what the club owner looking for. A better result from the last season. This is also helping the club to climbing up slowly but surely.
Since Pochettino and the entire team worked for Chelsea Football Club, they must be capable of achieving such a goal. Those footballers received a high salary. How can you say that if the owner does not set high expectations for them?
This is a professional club. It's as if you're freelancing.

Chelsea's progress has been very visible recently towards the end of the season. In fact, they are able to leave behind Manchester United and Newcastle United and have the chance to finish in 6th place.
Pochettino began to find a rhythm that made Chelsea's game improve. Players are starting to get together with good cooperation.
The news of looking for a replacement for Pochettino needs to be postponed because one season can immediately take off.
In my opinion, Chelsea has a big chance to be in the top four with Pochettino, one way or another Chelsea can win the title.

Why will they even think about sacking a coach when the club is beginning to perform well? Chelsea can never think about sacking Pochettino right now, maybe if things get worse later in the future, they might think about it. If Chelsea can sack Pochettino, who are they going to replace him with? If they sack Pochettino, they are just taking Chelsea backward.

Some could say that 6th place is disappointing for Chelsea owners and fans (they still have a chance for 5th place or could drop to 7th), but given that Pochettino took the club over only in July 2023, and the team's performance seems to be steadily improving, then I don't think he's position is in any risk. Maybe only unless Chelsea somehow managed to attract one of the highest-profile coaches like Xabi Alonso or Jurgen Klopp.
Building a team simply takes a lot of time, and the next season will be more indicative of whether or not Mauricio is a good manager.

The bookies have spoken:

Odds for the outright winner:

They don't believe Man City will trip in the final game. Especially knowing West Ham have absolutely at stake here. Win or lose, they will finish in the 9th place.
So if anyone still truly believes that Arsenal can win the league, here's a good time to back it up with a wager. I don't.

This season has already ended. Chelsea should focus on how to improve their performance next season. Chelsea started poorly this season, nobody expected so much improvement in their performance towards the ending. If Chelsea started performing well early, they would have been in a better position, but I am still happy they are beginning to understand themselves. Pochettino is beginning to figure out the appropriate squad for the team.

I do agree that Chelsea has a good potential for the future, with the young players that they have, and definitely lead by Palmer as well, we are going to keep thinking that we are going to do better. That doesn't mean that we are going to see them win the title, of course that is not going to be easy, but we are not going to see anything worse than that.

We should probably consider how to get better with time, and that means that we are going to end up with a result that will not be all that simple. Obviously this is going to take some time, but that doesn't mean that they can't wait. Think about it this way, if they can be great in 3-4 years, that would be good enough waiting, I can see them be great again with time for sure.

Chelsea's performance is getting better towards the end of the season, although I also think it will be a big challenge for them to get the title anytime soon, but with time, I believe they will get it because Chelsea have been a great team before. Well, I was going to say never say never when you said that they were never go get or win the title any time soon, as much as I agree with this statement judging solely from Chelsea's current performances, I am of the opinion that things can actually change for them any time even by the coming season, atleast, as an example, no body believed that Arsenal will be performing this good in both last and this seasons of the premier league, but all of a sudden and out of no where, they came up, even when most people least expected it.

I am not a fan of Chelsea but a fan good football in general, and my advice to the hardcore Chelsea fans is that they should not lose hope in their favorite team, Chelsea was once a very great and well respected club, soon enough, even as soon as this coming season, they can regain that status again if they are determined and work hard to proof their determination and dedication to becoming the best again..

No matter how much you support Arsenal, if you bet your money on this club you will only risk losing money. Indeed, we don't know what will happen in the last match, but I am very sure that Man City will win the league again this season because they failed. in the UCL then you will risk everything in the EPL and will not waste any opportunities, WestHam is not a difficult club for Man City to win the last match, if you show your support for Arsenal by betting on this club be prepared to accept disappointment Grin

Any bet comes with a risk of losing money. But yeah, betting on Arsenal to win the league at this stage means you're most likely to lose.
Then again, the odds of x10.00 are quite attractive to bet some pocket change on it, a small enough amount that you won't feel much difference if it's gone.

Man City is a huge favourite, but, looking from a slightly different angle, and assuming West Ham will care about winning at all (just for the glory), it might not be as easy game as many expect it to bee.
First of all, West Ham know how desperate Man City is for the 3 points, so they'll probably start very defensively and will be focussed on just stealing time. As each passing minute of a goalless game will make the City more stressed and desperate, the risk of them making mistakes or overcommitting to attack will increase, potentially opening situations for counterstrikes for West Ham.

Anyhow, I think the odds for the City to win the game or the league are so low that it's not worth it. From a purely gambling perspective, I think it makes more sense to make a small bet on them not winning. But I wish they succeed, so won't be doing that.
