I have seen lots of posts in the forum here claiming Aston Villa might end up surprising everyone this season. I will just shake my head. How do you even think Aston Villa will win the league title? I am not underestimating Aston Villa, but I do say that the highest they can do is to end the season in the top 4, but they can’t win the league. Aston Villa performances have been really nice this season, and everyone keeps on being surprised by their nice performances, but we saw how they messed everything up yesterday. I never believed the match would be difficult for Aston Villa to win, but they couldn’t win the match, it ended in a draw.
 
If Aston Villa were able to win their match against Sheffield again yesterday, then they would have been in first place currently, but they wasted the great opportunity to stay in first place. I am always expecting disappointment from a team like Aston Villa at any moment and am not always shocked by the outcome of their match.

Liverpool's penalty that wasn't awarded must have had an ulterior motive. In what other position would Var be involved? It's hard to believe. Liverpool played their best game this season. I agree that it was a poor decision by the referee and VAR didn't even intervene. Besides I believe Saka should have been sent off as well. Because his challenge was a really dangerous one. The referee indicated that he slipped and it was unintentional. But normally it shouldn't matter how it happened. It is a dangerous tackle and he deserved the second yellow there.

I don't know when this referee problem will be solved in this league. Because the number of mistakes this season has increased more.  

Was this really on purpose? I watched the game and United really controlled the game with more ball possession and passing.
