Enzo Maresca is not out of his mind, he knows what he is saying and he speaks out of experience. With the current Chelsea squad, anyone can admit that Chelsea is in the title race, but technically they are not. Consider these things;
  • Chelsea has not won any top team, including Manchester United even when they don't have a steady manager then.
  • Chelsea is neither in Europa or Champions league.[/b]
  • It's better he says they are not in the title race and be in the race than saying they are, and the result is otherwise.
  • Mind game? Mind game....
What do European Cups have to do with the Premier League title race? The fact that Chelsea can concentrate on one competition while their rivals suffer from an overloaded calendar and the need to adjust to games in other tournaments is a huge advantage for them.
In fact, given that Liverpool has not yet gone through a slump, it is not at all clear who will be the leader (of this pair) when this happens to Liverpool.

I doubted too, I wasn't reallly expecting that Enzo Maresca would have revived the Chelsea's team this quick and to occupy the second spot in the league table, indeed an incredible performance so far at this point in time of the season, I was only hoping if he manages to qualify Chelsea for the champions league next season and not to see such a drastic revival of the Chelsea's squad that everybody almost lost hope during the past two sacked coaches Potter and Pochettino precisely.
Arne Slot and Enzo Maresca are the two new managers making massive improvements in the EPL, the Liverpool and Chelsea respective manager are really doing well but to me it's still too early to give a final verdict on them either being the right long term plans for their teams respectively but after a season or two it will be easier to determine that. Although, I will not disregard the fact that they need applause for how well they have been able to make their various teams especially Enzo Maresca, since  Chelsea was in a really worst state than Liverpool before their various arrivals this season.
In the short term for this season, the new Liverpool and Chelsea coaches deserve praise for maintaining their positions at the top of the standings. But in the long term, I am sure that Man City will definitely return to their best performance.
But what I said is also too early because if Arne Slot is able to continue to maintain the stability of his performance every season, Liverpool certainly has a chance to win the title in the next few seasons.
Well, actually the most important thing right now is that we only need to see how strong the efforts of the top 5 teams in the EPL are and we have to forget for a while about the future of some of these teams and I am very sure that this season Liverpool will win the EPL title this season.

Chelsea under the management of Graham Potter, everyone experienced poor stats and he was absolutely not good enough for the team. He couldn't handle the gritty performance of the team rather shown poor communication within the players and the teams stats was dormant in the process. Perhaps he was sacked by Todd Boehly who only welcomes stellar display and rapid improvement. This is a man that have no weak spot for adjustment or patience, always wants the best among the best. Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly have a good thing going on, he wouldn't relent because he set up good structures at Stamford Bridge and watching the epic performance for the club, one could easily noticed the difference in previous season and the current one. Enzo Maresca adapts quickly to the Chelsea pattern and he's doing exceptionally excellent in the team.

I understand why he has been using that statement "we're not title contenders", the fear of making mistakes is what he has been avoiding and I'd blame the English media too for putting more pressure on coaches and players, is as if they are comfortable to see a manager fail especially when he's not from England. But it doesn't change the fact that the fans knows what's happening and where Chelsea is headed, no matter how hard Enzo tries to keep it on a low key he will definitely face a little bit of pressure (he might hide it). Some of the players are not even fit to be in that squad and I'll say this that this is the best I have seen from Chelsea in a long while but a better number 9 need to fill in that empty space.
The media are keen on mounting pressure on Enzo Maresca to be accept the fact that he's in the title race, unfortunately he's smart enough to comprehend the whole situation, he's always concerned with his team winning games and grabbing three points in every game, with all these impressive stats in the league, he's not ready to win titles but the team is in building phase. Chelsea is elite and competitive this season, they've one of the best players and the new manager utilized his opportunities well. Look at their current position on the EPL table, one could easily spot improvement for the Blues, they're on winning streak and will not settle for lesser outcome. Enzo Maresca wouldn't welcome any room for pressure because he's one of the sketchy coach we have in England. He's working extremely hard to coupled the team together and winning matches become easy from their ends.

I disagree with you, how can you say he's not ready to win the title? Are you saying that if Enzo Maresca sees an opportunity of winning the league title that he'll chose to lose that chance? No, Enzo Maresca is trying to lie to himself like he doesn't know what's going on around him and some day it will be one of rhe players saying he doesn't know if they are second on the table. All these things he's doing can be one of his plans to deceive others but he shouldn't feel that he is smarter than the other coaches. No doubt about the Blues and how they have been progressing and correcting their mistakes, is a good thing for the Chelsea side. If you still talking about pressure I feel this man Enzo Maresca is someone that doesn't know how to operate under pressure so he had to put on this act of not being a challenger for the title.

For now I don't think any good and real gambler will bet on Manchester City because their performance is getting worst the more. And the best option right now is to  change  the coach and bring in some new good players. Though they have good players but most of them have injuries. Manchester United beat them 2-1. Manchester United who beat Manchester City also has no hope in the next match. Chelsea was the team that was not doing well at in the previous seasons and at the beginning of the season but now they are playing good games.
It’s actually risky to bet on Manchester City at this moment because of the setback they are currently having, the team has lost focus completely including their manager Pep Guardiola because when we think that the team will get better, they keep performing poorly which made them inconsistent for the meantime.

Changing manager at this moment is not the best option for them because Guardiola is a good coach and can still do better if he can just make some good signings especially defenders and a good and solid defensive midfielder to be replacing Rodri anytime he get injured.

I was wondering if there is still people picking Manchester City while they have better odds to win comparing to their opponents, especially they will face Aston Villa which isn't bad and a draw could be expected, if not a defeat again.. unless something new happens with Manchester City poor performance.
I don't think changing Guardiola in this time is a good thing, after is there a better and available coach to bring to replace him? Zidane? Or switch between Ancelotti and Guardiola between Real Madrid and City?

With Manchester City poor performance in the previous few match, it is indeed a consideration to bet on their victory because it is very clear that their decline in performance was triggered by the pressure they felt on the standing. I think if the option to change the coach is not an option that will be taken by Manchester City management, because Pep Guardiola has given many titles to Manchester City and of course that is a serious consideration before they make a decision.

The defeat from manchester United makes it even more difficult for Man City to compete with Liverpool this season. Because for now Pep Guardiola squad is in 5th place with a difference of 9 points with Liverpool who are at the top of the standings. It's time for another team to win the EPL trophy because if manchester City continues to be like that, it's not very interesting, right? Manchester City performance is of course the worst performance this season.

But even so, Enzo Maresca must remain careful and not be happy just yet. Because this season is still quite long. Therefore, Enzo just needs to make his team stay consistent with their current good performance. Because if you lose even a little consistency, this could have quite big consequences in a super tight league like the English league. Therefore, Enzo Maresca must be able to ensure that his foster children remain physically fit. And besides that, in the coming week Chelsea will face Everton. I think with Chelsea's current performance, it is certain that this match will be quite easy for Chelsea to win.
Of course they cannot be complacent until here because even though for now they have returned to the initial path that was difficult to do in Todd's early era at Chelsea but in the end their target continues to survive with the conditions that occur now so that when they are complacent now it will only be able to bring up some things that could actually worsen the situation from Chelsea.

Currently Enzo is quite comfortable with the players they have, especially with the supply of players quite a lot, Enzo is actually not too difficult in rotating players so as not to be too compressed, but on the other hand the chemistry of some players is still not strong, although for now it is not only Palmer who is the foundation because some players are starting to show an increase in quality including from Sancho who in my opinion is increasingly visible for now for Chelsea.

Next week against Everton the target is clearly 3 points but they must remain introspective because after all even though their probability is now higher but the EPL is sometimes not easy to predict.

Any gamblers who kept staking their money on Manchester City by doubling and tripling their bet amount in 1x2 would have already incur huge amount of losses at this moment. Based on the last 11 matches which Manchester City played in both the English Premier League and Uefa Champions League, they had only won once against Nottingham Forest and suffered a total of 8 losses and 2 draws. I guess Pep Guardiola has truly paid a huge price for this horrible run as he did not actively seek out new transfers of players into Manchester City before the start of this season.
I have not bet on Man City anymore, either 1x2 or other options, because currently their performance is bad which makes the risk of losing in betting much higher. I will bet if they are stable winning consecutive matches there I will give my trust again. But until now I have not seen Man City recover quickly, maybe Pep should rest.

Chelsea under the leadership of Enzo Maresca has excelled. Maresca has changed their fortunes and has successfully instilled a winning mentality into his players. Chelsea have improved a lot this season. Chelsea are now second on the table, a testament of Enzo Maresca management. I can say now Chelsea are a worthy title contender this season.
A lot of people doubted Maresca and they no one thought he would take the team this far but so far they are excelling. A lot of players have improved under Maresca and the team as a whole has improved a lot in just a few months of taking charge. I don’t think they can win the title but they are challenging well for it and Liverpool needs to be very careful else Chelsea might take it from them.

Bournemouth vs West Ham

I was expecting Bournemouth to win this one but looking at the time remaining now it looks like it's going to be a goalless game and they'll share just 1 point this week.

Both clubs seemed to play very well although West Ham didn't really have a lot of momentum as their finishing was quite poor but in the end they were quite active and it was a balanced game in my opinion. It's now the last 10 minutes of the second half but given the tempo of the game it looks like it's going to be goalless but as long as the chances are there my hopes are still pretty high to see Bournemouth get the 3 points in today's game.
The match became unpredictable at the crucial moment but the score was still tied where a penalty earned by West Ham and successfully maximized by Paqueta was avenged by a goal from Enes Unal 3 minutes later.

The match became more heated towards the end of the half and now the extra time is still very interesting to wait even though the score is still tied but the game scheme and the tension shown I think is still good enough for this match.

1 point is not a bad thing for either club as they deserved this result but it would be great if one of the clubs could secure 3 points although it is unlikely at the moment, but as long as time continues we will just have to see if in the end the final result will be 3 points for one of the clubs or they will have to be satisfied with the 1 point they have in this match.

Yep, both clubs seemed to try harder in the final 10 minutes where the tempo of the game became a little faster than the beginning of the match even though it was also quite fast before but in the crucial minutes they tried to be faster especially after Bournemouth fell behind by 1 goal by Paqueta's penalty but indeed this draw is actually quite fair even though I didn't really expect this because I expected Bournmeouth to get 3 points but this is enough for the final result where each club gets 1 point.

The penalty for touching Adams' hand was avenged with a classy freekick from Enes Unal in this match but interestingly Kepa and Fabianski in my opinion played quite well in this match because they made some crucial saves which actually if they were not ready it could have been an unexpected goal.

I am pretty sure that he didn't even think he needed any at all. He is doing as well as hoped for so it's clear that we are dealing with something nice here, so it didn't really felt like they needed anything considering how they are already winning, at least until this season they kept on winning, and they had a team that's established and successful, so they didn't need to go out and get a lot of players.

This was a mistake of course but now we see that, you know what they say, hindsight is 20/20, so it's clear to say that it was a mistake now, but considering it was a winner team, at the time during summer transfer period, what he did wasn't really that shocking. Why get a lot of players to a team that already wins everything? In any case, I am sure that they are going to dip into transfer window during the January period and they are going to get some young and hungry for success players, that should be something that can benefit them and turn things around.

He knows this and already he is telling even the media that they are not in the title race despite being second position, he says his team is not yet ready so he is not expecting much from them and all he is after is to pick 3 points in every match played. He is already focused on building his team and making their performances consistent, he has enough squad depth and everything seems to be okay for now. Everton is not in top form but they are proving to be strong defensively so it might not be an easy game as we think but Chelsea are in good shape to win the match though.

The day I finally lost it out on was when they could not secure a win against Arsenal despite the red card that got the Arsenal players incomplete squad. They still ended in what I referred to as a needless draw for the Manchester City. That draw game could have been easily converted to a winning game if they knew their ways considering that the Manchester City guys hosted Arsenal on that game at the Etihad Stadium. Haaland was able to score an early opening goal just about 9 minutes to the game and Stones added the second goal in about 20 minutes after. Trossard which is the one of the Arsenal's top striker got a red card at the first half of the game yet Arsenal was able to make sure the points were shared in the end with a goal coming from Martinelli in the 42nd minutes and Saka in the 58th minute. I was disappointed by Manchester City since then till date.

Chelsea are one of the teams in the EPL who are very serious but the manager doesn't have the balls to admit it and I believe he has made the player to accept it that they're not in any way qualified to be title contenders. Is a shameful thing to say that a club you're managing are not yet in the title race even when you see how awesome you team have been doing even better than the current Champions and the league leaders. I think Enzo Maresca learnt a lesson from the other coaches who got fired, he noticed that the Chelsea club and the fans have this kind of pressure they inflict on every new manager to always take them to the top even when they know is not immediately it had to happen. Enzo is not really using mind game per say but he is avoiding being pressured and he also wants the players to play without pressure and he feels it will help them do well.
I disagree with your assessment on Chelsea. It could well be a tactical strategy by Enzo Maresca to shift the focus of his players towards gradual progress rather by been burdened by the pressure of been called title contenders. I think this approach allows the team to focus on their development and long term goals rather than short term results. By managing the expectations of the fans, Enzo Maresca ensures that his players are not overwhelmed by external pressure which can negatively impact their progress and performance.

Pep Guardiola should rest? I don’t get what you mean by that? Should he be sacked you meant? I don’t even think that is an option that Manchester City are going to consider in the nearest future because he’s performing poorly now, he has done well for the team since he joined some years back and has won them the best trophies they can ever think of. Just because of some little backlog, that doesn’t mean he won’t be able to do anything again in the future, he can still improve the condition of the team but the main question now is when?

Yes I think they can win the premier league with the way they are playing right now I think the coach is trying to not make the fans to put pressure on his players if I could remember when a coach arrive at Chelsea and say he will make top 4 he try to put pressure on the players to deliver so the pressure make the players and when a pressure is on a player he try to do everything right which will make them hold on the ball longer because they shouldn't loose possession so he is trying not to put pressure on them I think it's a right idea

I just feel he’s trying to sway away other teams from seeing Chelsea as a potential league contender, he’s trying to claim smart to me and playing his own games well too in order to avoid being blamed in the end if the end result is not what we expected considering their current performance. The Chelsea team is very much strong and from all indications, if they continue like this, they’ll be in a better position and well situated for the league title than even Arsenal who are not consistent now. We shall see how things turns out to be by January for all teams, but Chelsea is a potential league winner this season also.

Manchester City's dip in form this season, both in the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League has likely caused many bettors significant losses. Their struggles become more real with each game, and it's hard to see them finishing within in the top 4 at the end of the season. Even if they advance to the next round of the Champions League, it's doubtful that they will progress further. Considering their inconsistency this season, many bettors will start staking heavily against them.

Yeah I agree with you, currently Manchester City is not a team that can be relied on in the Premier League and the Champions League, they are under pressure after  bad result in the last few days we even heard rumors that Pep Guardiola would be fired yeah we will hear the clarity before the transfer window is available in January. For the next Manchester City match we will avoid betting on 1x2 and take other options such as both teams to score well this option is more appropriate since they always conceded almost in every match.

For top 4 in the standings I think Manchester City still has a chance because I don't see other competitors except Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal while for other teams they can still compete.

Chelsea have improved a lot this season. Chelsea are now second on the table, a testament of Enzo Maresca management. I can say now Chelsea are a worthy title contender this season.
Yes, we should all appreciate Enzo Maresca's greatness in turning a downed team, like Chelsea, back to its feet. Because in my opinion it is not easy to change a team that was bad into a better one, especially in a very short time. However, Enzo Maresca didn't take long to turn Chelsea into a team that was respected again in the Premier League. Therefore, Enzo Maresca can be said to be a very classy and very great coach. Because in his first season coaching Chelsea, Enzo Maresca was able to make the team he coached (Chelsea) compete with defending champions like Manchester City and also great teams like Arsenal. Therefore, I also agree if we say that Chelsea is a contender for the title this season. Because currently Chelsea only has a difference of 2 points with Liverpool who are in first place in the English league. So if Liverpool suffers just one more defeat, we can be sure that Chelsea will be at the top of the standings in the English league.

But even so, Enzo Maresca must remain careful and not be happy just yet. Because this season is still quite long. Therefore, Enzo just needs to make his team stay consistent with their current good performance. This is what I have been seeing for a while, everyone is praising the coach, and I agree that Maresca is not a bad coach at all, he is doing whatever he can to make this team win, they are actually trying to win the title as well so it's clear that he is doing something right.

However, I am also a bit bothered about it because players are putting 110% every game and not many people praise the players, like somehow it's all Marescas talent that they are there, but in reality I am pretty sure that he does play a big role but the players play a bigger role. We should remember that managers do not go out and play, it's the players that go out and play, so we need to give some credit to players as well for playing this well too.

Amazing result from Tottenham against Southampton and they had a perfect performance during this game because of the games. I thought Southampton was not going to win and I was even expecting to see Tottenham because predicting this match to say Tottenham is going to win was not hard for us but in this match, we saw a 5-0 result and Son Heung-min the player of Tottenham was man of the match as could expect to see because of scoring one goal and two assists for his teammates.
Maybe if Ange Postecoglou could show this good performance in the other games they would be in the better place of the Premier League instead of being in the 10th place.

While Tottenham have been impressive, they are not top contenders and that is a fact. Struggling in mid-table and despite beating Man City by a landslide, Tottenham are not a title threat. 3 points over Southampton is a fair guess. On December 20th they will play Man United in the EFL Cup so it will be a thrilling game and it will show just how big the gap is between the two teams.
