Chelsea managed to win at home against Brentford. Chelsea, who continue to win, have become a strong contender for the title. They're now just two points behind Liverpool.
Tottenham won comfortably away from home. Their opponent Southampton are not doing well this season and will most probably be relegated. Tottenham scored 5 goals in the first half and the match was completed with these goals. Son finished the match with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Brentford pulled a threat over this previous season for Chelsea but this current meeting was entirely different. We watched Blues handled them well and secured three solid winning points. Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca have pointed out the difference, he's not ready for the title race because he proclaimed that his team is not ready. They're just few points from equaling the particular level of Liverpool. Chelsea is elite, Enzo Maresca is experienced coach, he's suffering from several spot of weakness. The Blues have more time to step things up and winning games becomes imperative for the EPL this season.

I was surprised when Manchester United came from one goal down to win Manchester City in the much anticipated Manchester derby. Manchester United took advantage of City’s lack of composure to win the game. It was a good game for Ruben Amorim and his men. Congratulations to Amorim as he becomes the first manager since Ferguson to win his first Manchester derby.
Everyone know man city is struggling not that shocking win for man united but that turned around in the second half of man united is shocking for most of the man united fan. btw hats of to Ruben Amorim and has man and also Ruben Amorim is the first manger to beat man city with a two different team first is sporting Lisbon and second one is man united

This Bournemouth vs West Ham game is so boring, I should have done something else with my time. I just know if I turn it off though, I’ll miss about 4 goals Cheesy

I thought Bournemouth would win this but they haven’t created much yet.

The probability of Bournemouth winning at home so far is very high compared to West Ham, but the fact is that West Ham dominated this match well. Not sure whether this probability is reasonable or not, but the performance of the two teams so far is indeed different.
The club Bournemouth have been good against big clubs this season, they look to be struggling against the smaller ones. Maybe they will have a better second half because West Ham the visiting team have had better chances but have not just been able to score one yet. West Ham on their own were in a better place last season, the coach will be hoping for a good result because with the recent trend of coaches being sacked in the premier league, Wolves coach, then the coach of Southampton, he may be the next.

Both teams are really putting in effort to secure a victory in this ongoing match. From what they are playing, I can say this will be a close game. Both teams are performing well. In my view, it is possible that this match could end in a draw, but it’s also possible for either West Ham or Bournemouth to win the game because both have good chances based on their performance in the first half. However, things could still change in the second half.

Honestly, I am not expecting West Ham to lose this game to Bournemouth, as it is their home game. But let’s see what will happen at the end of the match, as they are about to resume for the second half.

To be honest I really didn't realize that Bournemouth are currently only a few points behind Manchester City in the standings. Bournemouth's good performance has put them right behind Manchester City, who are currently out of the Champions League zone. If Bournemouth wins their home game today, then their points gap with Manchester City will be even lower.

The probability of Bournemouth winning at home so far is very high compared to West Ham, but the fact is that West Ham dominated this match well. Not sure whether this probability is reasonable or not, but the performance of the two teams so far is indeed different. Bournemouth are definitely fighting to be in the Europa League zone and will probably use this home game to close the gap on points with Manchester City, but I think both teams will score goals in this match.
If I recall correctly, Bournemouth is very good at dominating big teams. Their wins against big teams and other opportunities they had with the small team have brought them this far. Big accolade for them.

In this game, I can't be sure if Bournemouth to win since they are very sometimes unpredictable. Against West Ham, they are likely to win the game. Because West Ham is not impressive during this period.

I think the comparison will never be the same between the Southampton team who are at the bottom of the Premier League standings with the Liverpool team who are still at the top of the Premier League standings. So the level of difficulty and pressure will definitely be felt by Tottenham even though Tottenham will play as the home team this weekend, because Liverpool will also continue to maximize their strength in order to have the potential to win again and widen the gap with their rivals in the current Premier League standings.

It's really strange this season that a team that barely make it out of relegation is now at tbe top of the table chilling together with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. In deed, Manchester City has fell of badly because I'm not sure how I'm going to explain this in the future that Nottingham Southampton are now at the top of the table. They are better than some teams by the way but this encroachment to the top of the table wouldn't make them win the Premier League.

Liverpool isn't going to give up that position to Chelsea, atleast not now. I'm seeing Enzo Maresca always hide in the comments that they are not here for the Premier League trophy, they just want to get better but we know in his damn mind he is aiming on winning the Premier League trophy as soon as they over take Liverpool on the table. They just don't want to make mouth and be like failure like the way Arsenal did and failed later to Manchester City.

Brighton were defeated by Crystal Palace at home. Crystal Palace managed to get 3 points from an important away game, scoring 3 goals in a match in which Ismaila Sarr was the star.
The derby between Manchester City and United ended with United's victory. City, who managed to take the lead with Gvardiol, lost the match with goals in the last 5 minutes of the second half. United, who won the Manchester derby against out of form City, increased their points to 22 with this win.

Bournemouth vs West Ham

Bournemouth (confirmed lineup): Kepa Arrizabalaga, Adam Smith, Illia Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, Dango Ouattara, Lewis Cook, Antoine Semenyo, Ryan Christie, Justin Kluivert, Evanilson.

West Ham (confirmed lineup): Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimir Coufal, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Max Kilman, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Edson Alvarez, Tomas Soucek, Mohammed Kudus, Carlos Soler, Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen.

West Ham have been winning or draw against Bournemouth, which means they are running unbeaten since Oct, 2020 and Bournemouth haven't be able to stop that. This season Bournemouth are ahead of the West Ham in time of winning both home and away matches and they are currently ahead of West Ham even in the table with 4 points. This season I found it difficult to predict a match because it kept giving me surprises which makes me back off. Tonight Bournemouth are hosting West Ham, let see Bournemouth will be free after a long period of been caged by West Ham.

That was how many Manchester United fans believed that Erik Ten Hag would be successful in the club after his exploits in Ajax where he won the Eredivisie three times. But he failed to replicate the same success in United. Ruben Amorim was also having a good time in Sporting Lisbon but his days in Old Trafford are not looking too good. He is facing another great test today in the game with Manchester City and the Red Devils have not had a single shot on target in 54 minutes.

Lmfao..... I'm literally up and out here for post like this. Who got three points at the end of the game. Three points aside,  Manchester United deserved the win. I'm officially praising Harry Maguire for his performance today,  the same to Manual Ugarte and lastly Mazraoui who joined from Bayern Munich. They did super great for me in this game. I have less to say finally, we all know United finally was the better side. Ruben Amorim will definitely win them the Premier league Competition.
You seem to be very happy with this result but that's pretty normal for a Manchester United fan and it was a pretty good game for them even though it can't be denied that the 2 goals for Manchester United came as a result of 2 fatal mistakes from Manchester City defenders who lost focus at a crucial time.

For the defense guarded by Maguire, De Ligt and Licha they were quite solid in defense in this match even Haaland was always troubled and could not get a good position in the Manchester United defense area, making him just like a display on the field because he could not do much for Manchester City.  Although in this match Manchester United still cannot get out of the uncomfortable zone but at least with 3 points beating Manchester City this can be used as a momentum for them to regain confidence after 2 defeats and of course next week there is a great hope for them in continuing the positive trend after this victory.

Pep Guardiola must take advantage of the January transfer market if he wants to change or make his team rise and Manchester City management must also fully support it, otherwise I think their slump will be even deeper.
It has been only Haaland in striking for them this season, he needs another striking option just as he needs new defensive options and another option in defensive midfield. Manchester City are slowly drifting far from any chance to defend their title again, and Chelsea although the coach refuses to admit it are shockingly the title contenders this season, currently in the race with Liverpool. If Chelsea do not face problems later with injuries, or fatigue, they can actually win this season.

Haaland unfortunately continues to show that he does his job well, but he is not one to make a difference. He has incredible stats but I'm unlikely to see the "things were going badly but Haaland turned the game around" highlights that you can find for most top players (especially strikers).

Haaland is lazy as fuck. He rarely helped his club to defend, stood offside and does nothing to his club. He's too reliant on his teammates's service. Once none give him the ball, he's a flop.

I'm wondering how long Haaland will realize to run for the ball when nobody passes him. He has been invisible for weeks.

Haaland has a long-standing conflict with Guardiola, dating back to last season, when Guardiola released Haaland not for all matches, but often used him in the cup, and in EPL games left him in reserve and yet Haaland became the club's top scorer. Now Haaland is taking revenge on Guardiola in the only way available to him, namely playing extremely poorly. It was the same when United players played in the last ten hag games, so now Guardiola may feel the same way as ten hag when players just refused to play or played extremely lazy.

I would like to congratulate those who at the end of the second half at 1-0 bet on a United win at odds of 100! And I'm sure there were such people and it was really cool.

Because his job is as a targetman and there must have been instructions to continue to be in front of Pep so that Mancehster City's attack pattern is not disturbed, especially in playing the game very rarely Manchester City is pressed so he will not have time to think about defense when Mancehster City's attack pattern is always bumpy as usual.

The fault does not lie in Haaland not helping the defense because indeed the goals that are always created for Manchester City are when fast counter-attacks are made but Haaland's mistake in recent matches is when he cannot move more freely because he is always guarded by several players and he still cannot separate himself or make movements without the ball which makes him invisible in the match. This happened not just once for Haaland but he has been like this several times so that in the end the opportunities owned by Manchester City are also wasted more because their focus is on Haaland as a finisher but he is always tightly guarded by the opposing defenders.

He is not lazy, it's frustration that's undermining their performance. Literally you can see that everyone isn't enjoying what they are doing anymore and the teams are helpless. What strategy have they not use in their camp yet their is no any significant improvement. What's there left to do from been one of the toughest striker in Premier League to nothing but despite that, he remains the highest number of goals then follow by Mohammed Salah.

The only thing I enjoy about his performance is he is learning literally from what he said to Arteta, he was very proud and rude at the same time but he is the player that is now a humbled one, "stay humble ehh" is now silent and can't even give word of encouragement to his team when they can't win any match. If care is not taken, he will definitely be replace by Salah soon.

The comae back actually felt really unbelievably because for a team like city, leading by a goal usually is enough reason to believe they aren't even going to loose such game hence it becomes something to really consider as surprising how they lost at home after leading by a goal, there's something about amorim against Manchester City that he's has won them twice with two different teams at two different times in two different leagues, maybe guardiola for pay more attention to amorims tactics (lol) congratulations to united as this feels like one of their biggest wins this season, and like ten hag did said eras do come to an end, maybe that's what's going on with city, man saw d future (lol).
They are just getting destroyed by everyone at this point. It wasn't a shock in the sense that I would have seen it a very normal situation if United won the game normally, the comeback part was the one that shocked me. Penalty was a fair penalty and I agreed with it, the tackle was too hard and penalty was given and that's fair.

But, even a tie would have made sense, they didn't even recovered and attacked, they just looked like they were fine with a tie and just defended and United was shocked about this so kept on attacking. If your team is attacking on 90th minute, while the other team is just defending, you know that you are a better team. While we look at City and assume they are a great team normally, they are not anymore and that's the proof right there.

At first, I didn’t approve of the 3 man defense back line setup that Amorim uses. I just didn’t think it could work in the Premier League but Harry Maguire shined in the position against Manchester City. Maguire was able to cover Haaland quite well. I don’t see a lot of praises for Maguire for the good job he did yesterday, a lot of positive comments have been said about Amad Diallo but let’s give Maguire his flowers. I don’t like to bring up Erik Ten Hag but he never wanted to play Amad in his team and that’s one of the reasons why I will never rate him as a good manager for Manchester United.

I have said many times that Manchester United's main problem this season is their defense line. The performance of the defenders of this team is very bad and irregular. And because of the bad defense, Manchester United has lost points in most of the matches. The performance of the attacking players has deteriorated due to the weak defense.

However, even after the change of coach, we have seen poor performance of Manchester United. Manchester United lost 3-2 against Nottingham Forest and 2-0 against Arsenal. However, United's players performed excellently against Manchester City. Especially United's defense played well in this match. Therefore, Manchester United team was able to successfully resist Manchester City's strong attacks.

How Pep guardiola hasn't been able get his Acts together up till now still amazes me, for a defending champion who has consistently held that position for consecutive four seasons, now going for a losing spree for this long is really unbelievable. Watching the match yesterday against United, I think it's safe to say Pep guardiola has not yet been able to discover what exactly is affecting his teams overall performance in the last two months. He still believes the same tactics and pattern of play will eventually bring back his dominating style of play. Manchester united really didn't do much, they just had to go to Etihad and not come back Empty hand.
Much earlier it was blamed on the wave of injuries that the team was hit by and later on the absence of some other key players one of which is rodri who isn't still back but then gradually most of the key players are back and the team is almost complete except for rodri and he's been maintaining his usual technical approach that has gotten him the wins he's enjoyed all his years in city but at this point it's even feeling like even if Rodri comes back much may not change because they are in such a very pitiable state now and will hope to get salvage probably by a miracle or is it about that time Guardiola should consider calling it a quit as his experience and tactics put together is beginning to fail him.
Of course even if Rodri comes back, his impact wouldn't be felt that much, after all when Pep Guardiola was winning regularly even without Rodri in most games his absence wasn't felt that much, we are hearing about Rodri's absence because he is losing and Since he is losing, he definitely will find an excuse and the absence of Rodri is a solid argument for him. From the look of things, it will take Pep Guardiola towards the end of the first quarter of 2025 before he can come up with something new, because this particular situation isn't something he prepared for, so he doesn't know how to patch the leaking wings as things stands now.

Well I don't think it was true. After Jesko Garvidol opening goal, I doubt bookmakers would have given Manchester United such odds, Manchester City too are not in a good run of form this season.

I don't think Manchester City's struggles is based solely on injuries. I think there is more internal issues within the club. And as for Ruben Amorim dropping both Rashford and Garnacho was the best decision he could have taken for the game. Amorim is a no nonsense coach and with him Manchester United players will be more disciplined as they will be led with a strong hand.
Unbelievable, City lost again, it's even more surprising because they were 1-0 up until the 88th minute and I was hoping it would be an important win for them, but in the end it was a defeat again. Maybe it's normal, in the sense that every team can have such crises, in fact Arsenal and Liverpool and Chelsea have had them, everyone has gone through it, but City have managed to avoid it for many years until now.
Manchester City resumed their negative trend this season after being beaten by Manchester United in the derby match yesterday, it's a strange sight to see Manchester City this season have only won one of the 11 games they have played in all competitions, so I think this season is Guardiola worst losing streak while he was coaching, apart from injuries, maybe the 115 cases to the surface at the moment has affected their performance, Although I actually doubt this reason, butthere seems to be no other more realistic reason to describe the cause of City poor performance this season Grin.

The depth of City's crisis is reflected in their possession. They managed to stick to their usual style for about a half, but even then, they weren't superior in attack. For the rest of the match, United either matched City in possession or had the upper hand. A lineup featuring Kevin De Bruyne, Foden, Bernardo, and Gündogan all at once still failed to take control of the ball against United. This may well be the root of City's problems, compounded by individual errors.
