Arsenal haven't been performing very well for a while especially after it was confirmed that their talisman Bukayo Saka would be out for sometime due to injury, they have dropped so much points ever since and even lost the first leg of their Carabao cup to Newcastle united by 2-0, and then they also got knocked out of the English FA cup after they failed to beat a ten man Manchester United side at the Emirates stadium in London.
With these kind of shabby performances being put up by the Gunners one cannot but only lose faith in the team because they do not seem like a team that is ready to get back to winning ways soon. Up next they would be facing Tottenham Hotspur tonight and am not expecting Tottenham to take it easy on Arsenal because Tottenham would need at least a point to keep hopes of clinching a spot for European competitions alive for next season.
So even though Arsenal won't be playing with one of their mainstay players today, I'm sure Arsenal will still be the favorites. Because even head to head, Arsenal is actually still superior. Of the last 5 meetings against Tottenham, the results were 4 wins for Arsenal and 1 draw. Well, I think it's clear there is a difference in strength between the two.
One of the reasons why fans are quite confident that Tottenham Hotspur will be able to emerge as the winner in this match. And although Spurs have indeed experienced a series of bad results lately, where Spurs have only been able to collect 4 points from their last 5 matches in the Premier League, with 1 win, 1 draw, and 3 losses. However, the narrow victory that Tottenham got yesterday when facing Liverpool in the first leg of the League Cup semifinals, at least this can change the views of observers and football fans a little about Tottenham Hotspur's performance lately. And even though they won in a different competition, the one they faced was Liverpool, the team that is currently at the top of the standings.
