The reason is that this victory allows Chelsea to qualify for the final against Liverpool which will take place at Wembley Stadium next February.

My prediction is that in the final match, Chelsea will be aiming to win the Carabao Cup title after 9 years of being out of their hands. They failed this season in the Premier League but I think the Carabao Cup will be the right medicine for the Blues to lift the trophy this season. It must be admitted that Chelsea's match against Middlesbrough in the semifinals was fantastic and Cole Palmer was truly the star in that match. If Chelsea can maintain their performance like this, it is not impossible that they can beat Liverpool. Because I believe Liverpool's main focus at the moment is in the EPL league and European league.

Chelsea did not show any mercy on the Middlesbrough in their yesterday's match at all. A 6 over 1 win was a very strong gameplay and a lose for Middlesbrough was a monumental one as well especially as they have hoped to win or at least draw with the Chelsea club. Unfortunately, reverse was the case as Chelsea did not only retaliated but also won with some landslide win.

Cole Palmer did me proud with his goals, Noni Madueke, Fernandez and Disasi did great jobs in the match. Petrovic did not do bad for the club as well. I will like them to hold this same spirit against Aston Villa so that they will have the ginger to face Liverpool when the time comes in the next match after the Aston Villa. Unfortunately Chelsea and Manchester United are still dragging feets in the lower part of the table.

That "small club" named Aston Villa somehow managed to defeat the "world champions" Arsenal in December last year and immediately before that, they won against the current Premier League champions, Manchester City.
It could be anyone's game, but AV is rightfully the favourite here, especially knowing Newcastle is not in their prime shape after losing the last 4 of the PL matches.

Sure, the season is still far from the end but it is not in the early season anymore. We are already in matchday 22 from 38 total matchdays. We are in second half of the season, mate.

Man City has no reason to show its weakness. We know that the injury players have recovered, Man City begins to play with their best form anymore. We can see that Man City is getting closer to Liverpool in EPL standings. If Liverpool does a mistake, Man City may return to the top of EPL standings. So, the competition for the title is more interesting now.

Professional job, did what we had to do, no more or no less. We’re in yet another final with Klopp and it’s another one against Chelsea. Hopefully the same outcome that the last two had. I would prefer it to not go to penalties though, I dunno if my nerves can take it.

FA Cup this weekend, I don’t mind if Klopp makes lots of changes. The squad is tired after so many games since December.

With the way I'm seeing Liverpool,I can see them Lift the trophy instead of Arsenal who everybody thought they were going to lift the trophy.They are currently leading the table,and they are pushing it very hard in every game they play to make sure they get a win because they know they have many clubs putting in their best to be at that position where Liverpool are.
Its really been long they won the league,and with the experience they have,it is becomingote easy for them to maintain consistency at this point in time,because they already know that,and if they continue like this,they might end up winning the league.

I don't think it was really that impressive. This was their job and if they allowed the game to be much closer than that, well then it would actually be a weak performance. They are still only ranked 9th in the Premier League and this League Cup isn't all that important. I am not sure what to think about this performance, but what really counts are their results in the Premier League. But I doubt that they will be able to keep the momentum for a long period of time. So far they were able to win three games in a row, but I don't think it will be enough for them to make it into the Europa League in the end.

We still have Arsenal, Villa and Tottenham who’re also having close point with Liverpool. These clubs are on the chase to for the league and therefore Liverpool will need maximum 4-6 points in the matches against Chelsea and Arsenal to still remain on top of the log. Salah will sure be missed especially as he’ll be out for a good number of weeks but I think this Liverpool side should be able to cope, my issue now is how long will they be able to hang on without Mo in the squad.

Yep. Chelsea played very impressive, they scored 6 goals to beat Middlesbrough. Chelsea avenged the defeat in the first half with a convincing score. It is surprising that Chelsea could score 6 goals. Again, Cole Palmer becomes the player who has the most important role in the match. Chelsea was really lucky to get this player from Man City. Cole Palmer already contributed much for Chelsea so far.

It is already in injury time, I also guess that there will be no change in the score. The draw result of this match make Liverpool to play against Chelsea in the final of EL cup. Sure, it will be an interesting final because we have 2 top teams. Chelsea must play all out because EFL title may be their main target for this season.

Why? Defeating Middlesbrough doesn't mean they defeat Liverpool? Huh

I think Liverpool and Chelsea have the same chance to win the EFL title this season. But if we look at the quality of the squad, Liverpool seems a bit better.

I don't believe this cause with salah or not Liverpool still has what it takes to win Chelsea, remember the last time Arsenal played with Liverpool, if I'm not mistaking salah didn't play but Liverpool managed to score 2goals so what's so special about Chelsea that Liverpool can't win without Salah.
I know Liverpool will definitely win Chelsea so there's no need for comparison, I don't know why a lot of people believe in just one person when talking about a team, what happened to Elliot cause I know Elliot is trying and with the rest of the team members they can defeat Chelsea. I also believe Salah injury will not last for long but for the main time they're trying their best without him.

From the goal aggregate and from the way the game went in the first half, it is certain that Liverpool will qualify to the finals. Luiz Diaz was able to find the back of the net with a superb finish to put Liverpool on the lead. Fulham could not play anything the first 30 minutes of the game. Liverpool took dominance of the first half and won possession. I don't think that Fulham will be able to score 2 goals in the sec ond half to put tension on Liverpool players, but instead Liverpool will score more goals. The second half has just begun and it is still 1-0

Yes, Liverpool is certain to qualify for the next match, considering that Liverpool successfully won the first leg with a narrow score of 2-1 against Fulham. And what is certain is that in this match Liverpool will maintain this advantage even though they are based at Fulham headquarters, and currently the score is still 0-1 for Liverpool, scored by Luiz Diaz in the 11th minute.
And even though Liverpool played at home to Fulham they still dominated the game overall, but the match was very tight because Fulham kept trying to score goals.

I don't think that Fulham will be able to score 2 goals in the sec ond half to put tension on Liverpool players, but instead Liverpool will score more goals. The second half has just begun and it is still 1-0

The chance is still very much there for Chelsea but in this case if you look at the opponent they will face now it is likely to be Liverpool and certainly when talking about opportunities then surely Liverpool will be more favored in terms of probability.
But their chances still remain depending on how Pochettino manages his players when facing Liverpool later.
Their advantage is actually quite large when facing Liverpool even though they are still one of the strong clubs and candidates whose chances are greater than Chelsea but they lost Endo and Salah in attack so this could be a good thing for Chlesea because at least Liverpool's attack power is slightly weakened even though there are still some strikers who are still very sharp like Jota and we also last week saw how different the performance of Nunez when he managed to destroy Bournemouth.
