Manchester United new coach have really changed a lot because it's clear that the players are showcasing their skills and I see excellent performances from them. Man City have really turned to something else even the underperforming teams are showing their talent when playing against them. Actually, I agree with you that both teams are in the same stage but one is moving in positive direction while the other to the opposite direction. Since man united is recovering we don't expect them with highest performance to defeat any team they faced. The two defeats the faced in their last two matches was never a surprised to me because both teams are in top 5th and it only takes a strong team to secure a slot there.

From the picture above, is like Amorim is having a dream of winning the EPL title this season with this poor form. I don't know if Amorim has a plan of changing this poor form of Manchester United first before thinking of going for the title and the position of UTD is too bad that if the season end today Manchester United will not be playing any European competition. Amorim seem like a man who talks more than showing working, I wonder how he manage to operate better with the Sporting side and winning games. The more Amorim talks the more smaller teams get to beat him or play a draw. This is not smart and I think Amorim still underestimates how many difficulties there are to overcome in order to bring Manchester United back to trophy winning levels. But he knows that if he gets fired, it is going to make him rich regardless of anything else. Since Manchester United wanted him so badly and signed him in the middle of the season, rest assured he has negotiated a very favorable contract for himself and Manchester United, IIRC, also paid a transfer fee for him. You’re right, making such statements will lift high the hopes of everyone and when you don’t meet the expectations it is easier to criticize you just like it happened with Ten Hag. Amorim should avoid talking this way and claiming to bring back the team to glory days because he is putting a huge burden on himself he should learn from Chelsea’s coach about not making promises despite being second place he still says they are not in the title race. He just doesn’t want Pepe to expect much so they don’t get disappointed when it doesn’t work out.
