The wheels have definitely come off at Newcastle United lately. They were very poor again today short of ideas, confidence and a total abysmal defense. Seems Wood certainly came back to haunt them. I was a bit skeptical about this Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest because of two reasons; Nottingham Forest now have a new manager who would want to hit the ground running so as to impress the club owner and also Newcastle's poor form. I know they started this month with a victory over Manchester United but it's turned into a miserable month for this Newcastle side, as they now won one of their last seven games and been eliminated from the Champions League and Carabao Cup in a matter of weeks.

They weren’t even playing well in the game, which suggests that something is wrong somewhere. Honestly Newcastle never looked like producing a comeback of their own. I think they have some serious thinking to do going into January. They have got really tough fixtures going into the new year and the whole team is always looking exhausted. I feel they have lost our confidence and cohesion. They need to find their form before these games.
