Liverpool vs Arsenal will certainly be a crucial match, a direct clash that could make it clear who really rules in the Premier League. Statistics in hand it is difficult to say which of the two will be able to win, the technical differences are really minimal. But I think Liverpool have a more compact team than Arsenal. On December 23rd we will know who can be elected Winter Champion
Going by statistics it's definitely going to be difficult been able to predict this match probably almost unpredictable because the statistics Will be given both team so many similarities in performance and other statistics this season so far and no doubts these two team have really done so much that has earned them various spots on the league table this season.

I would want to look away from the regular statistical analysis, looking from the psychology analysis, the last premier league game Liverpool played was against Manchester united which ended in a goalless draw and yesterday in their EFL match against westham, they won by 5 goals, this could tell they have an average confidence In the premier such that can't be seen as really strong enough meanwhile Arsenal  won Brighton in their most recent premier league game by two goals with Brighton getting a single goal, but against Liverpool Arsenal will be playing from away so some how this may tell ok their confidence and mentality but then they still have a good psychology tho not in a 100% good form,  home advantage is the edge Liverpool has got in this game but the gunners will definitely fight to get a point at least .
Looking at the psychological confidence the arsenal players have now, i think liverpool will have a very difficult game, yeah looking at the way Liverpool played against Manchester United the other day, we might give them some credence because they played with some level of dominance against Manchester United but the playing pattern of Manchester United and Arsenal are quite different, however the Arsenal team have a lot of defensive and attacking midfielders that can easily create chances and score, Liverpool on the other hand will try to have some defensive and attacking mindset more like a counter attack mindset, it's really going to be an interesting game to watch, because it will be very intriguing.
Any team trying to play Arsenal using a counter attack is probably risking the game. I have seen it several times, when Manchester United tried it, Chelsea tried it and Luton as well. Any team that want to challenge Arsenal strongly should focus more on breaking and dominating the gunners midfield properly. Only through that way there will be opportunities to score and handicapped Arsenal in the game. Liverpool is a team i believe that loves the counter strategy but they should remember that Arsenal has intelligent defenders which they may not succeed in their counter plans.

If crystal palace fails to win tonight, it will be their seventh conservative premier league game played this season without a win after completing over 15 premier league games this season, they have so far been an average team without much to be expected of them because they have actually not been above average this season in their performance.

Sometimes the try to show a tough teams and the other times they are just a average or even below average. I see them as an average team who will not be able to get to top four this season but Brighton has got a better form and have won two out of their last five games, they are not a weak side and this season they have been trying tho not to equate with bigger teams but they have got 67 points at the ninth position on the table crystal palace is some good points below them but crystal palace is mostly trying to be tough when the meet with team like this.
Watching average clubs playing against each other, probably the match tends to become boring because there's certainly no actions and the expected actions comes from both sides. Points accumulated by crystal palace can either boost their standings on the EPL table or it will gradually draw them closer to the relegation zone. Roy Hodgson will enable his tactical formations to win this tough opponent. We how how competent and confident Roberto De Zerbi have grown to become for the seagulls. Crystal Palace can be able outperformed Brighton & Hove Albion tonight at the selhurst park.

Writing Manchester city off the English premier league title race this early is a very foolish thing to do. We have seen several times where other teams had a good gap on Manchester city at the top spot but later on Manchester city turned it around to take home the English premier league title from that Team.
Learning from last season, Manchester City was several points behind Arsenal, but who would have thought that in the end Manchester City would be able to turn things around and become EPL league champions. Likewise this season, never write off Manchester City from the race to win the EPL League because entering the second half of the league often brings unexpected surprises. Moreover, Liverpool and Arsenal face each other this weekend, of course one of them will lose points.

Quote
I actually want the title to go Arsenal way j think it's fair for them to have it, they have been consistent in recent seasons and we have seen them play well so its only fair it goes to the Gunners but that's not how things are done, the team that are more hungry alway wins it
Yes, personally I also want Arsenal to win the EPL league title this season because it's a shame they haven't won the EPL for a long time, the last time Arsenal won the EPL was in 2004 or you could say 20 years, this is a very long time.

Everyone will predict Liverpool and Arsenal who are a favorite of champions this season and this is naturally done because these two teams are still quite consistent so far in the league. But compared to Arsenal I also agreed that Liverpool would be a much stronger candidate because it was mentally speaking Jurgen Klopp and the players were far more prepared than Arsenal.
This will be an exciting match because the battle for the top of the EPL standings is at stake between the two clubs Livepool and Arsenal, both are only one point apart and of course this victory is very necessary, Jurgen Klopp looks like he will surprise Arsenal at Anfield especially considering their previous failure against Manchester United with The draw was a bit disappointing, that's why against Arsenal, at least Liverpool should be able to get full points at Anfield.
I don’t expect Liverpool to play Arsenal the way they did against Manchester United. In fact Liverpool cannot be that dominating against this Arsenal side. The last time they both met at Anfield, Arsenal were ahead and had the game at hand until they lost control and Liverpool scored to late goals. I think Arsenal will want you win this time around. They have the qualities needed in every positions to beat this Liverpool side.

Liverpool will struggle against them in the midfield. Endo, Szoboszlai cannot match the energy in that Arsenal midfield of Rice, Kai Havertz and Odegaard. The additions of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz have made a difference in that Arsenal midfield since the departure of Xhaka and the absence of Thomas Partey. Their stature instantly made Arsenal a more imposing team and the duo have helped improve their pressing game too.
Liverpool will have to be at their to beat this Arsenal team.

I have actually thought the same thing, Manchester City are good at return but will that happen now? I don't see much buoyancy to come back to top of the league because I don't know why they will draw game with Crystal Palace and of all places, they did it in Etihad, that means they don't have power in home to defeat any team, Crystal Palace that is struggling to avoid relegation zone. I'm not shocked but this result though as they have displayed poor form when they played against Aston villa and we're defeated.

I want the same thing but Arsenal aren't the only team that are very stubborn in the game, Liverpool game is still excellent and the way they are going, Manchester City isn't the only team they should be afraid but Liverpool and Aston Villa. The last time Aston Villa lost a match was 5th of November, isn't that shocking? The last time Liverpool lost match was 9th of November, this shows that the two teams are very in good form since last month and Arsenal has lost match this Month to same Aston Villa, they need to step up there games more to be able to win this season.

I understand your enthusiasm for the Premier League, and it's indeed premature for some to hastily predict the outcome after only 17 games. Although Manchester City may not be performing at their peak now, it's essential to recognize that teams can regain their excellence. Form is dynamic, and just because they face challenges presently doesn't rule out their potential triumph.

Reflecting on past seasons, we've seen fluctuations in team standings. Last season, Arsenal led the table significantly, but they eventually faltered, allowing Manchester City to claim the title. This illustrates the unpredictable nature of football, leaving room for unexpected turnarounds.

While you hope for Arsenal's success, a concern surfaces regarding their squad depth. The absence of quality players on the bench poses a risk, especially if key players suffer injuries. This vulnerability impacted their performance last season, prompting cautious optimism this time around. The journey to the Premier League title is a marathon, and the final outcome remains uncertain, encouraging patience and open mindedness as the season progresses.

I feel like Arsenal will take the victory tomorrow. Liverpool really struggled against a weakened Manchester United. They had a total of 30+ shots and couldn't manage to convert any one of them into a goal. Nunez, Salah, and others need to work on this if they want to win any points tomorrow.

Arsenal at this moment are looking very good. They have beaten Brighton in their last match convincingly. Whoever wins this match will be in a clear good lead, which will help them get the championship at the end of the season.

But let's not forget about Manchester City and Aston Villa. Manchester City were behind Arsenal last season as well and they came back to get the Premier League. Even though they are 5 points behind, it has been only half of the season, and 19 matches are remaining. Aston Villa has the same points as Liverpool and they might be even at the top of the league by the end of the gameweek. Manchester City and Aston Villa fans will be hoping for a draw in the Arsenal vs Liverpool match. I myself cannot wait to see that match live.
I do not think you are correct calling Man u weakened in their last game though they were having some injury crisis but still yet I don`t that squad weak though Liverpool were favourite to win that match and will be disappointed that they drawn the match and sitting in the 2 position on the league table but still yet we can not remove the fact that we know if Man united squad are really determine to get a win or at least a draw they will get it against almost any team in Epl and we saw it when they defeat Chelsea this season and also I guess the hype and the fact that Liverpool as been constantly trashing United these past season was what affected the liverpool team but I don`t think they will go easy or play Arsenal just like they played United and we saw how they trash West Ham, they are in need of the win more to top the table again and even if Arsenal may win the game i don`t think it would be easy for them. My best bet on this match is that, is either Liverpool wins or more likely they draw

There is nothing spectacular about Liverpool judging by their mediocre performance against a second team of Man Utd last weekend, I expected a star-studded Liverpool to win convincingly against Man Utd unfortunately didn't live up to expectations, meanwhile in their next match against a more formidable Arsenal it's no longer business as usual as they are used to defeating Arsenal in previous matches, this time around it's going to be a different ball game recall Arsenal has the best defensive record this season and I don't think the likes of Nunez, Salah, Diaz and Gakpo stand any chance of scoring against Arsenal strong defence line though I am predicting a draw match.
The EPL title race is currently between Arsenal and Liverpool this season, no other club can come in-between them but I think there will be more opportunities for othe clubs to step in. Liverpool had a stellar performance against Manchester United who was consider lucky enough to score draw points with the home team. Jurgen Klopp have become more confident in the race because he's side is ranked second spot and just a point behind Arsenal which they will meet this weekend. There's absolutely nothing to worry about when there's strong evidence of winning matches.
Talking about the competition for the Premier League title, it seems like there are still a lot of changes after each club gets new players or sells its flagship players because soon the transfer market will open and there will be lots of changes and Manchester City will still return to first place after the arrival of its flagship player who has just arrived. Recovering from injury, Haaland is currently Guardiola's mainstay to contribute to helping the club reach first place in the points table.
Furthermore, if we talk about predictions for Liverpool match against Arsenal, it is a little difficult to predict because these two clubs both have very strong performances and some people predict the result will be a draw or some even say Liverpool will win but for me Arsenal too has a big chance to win because Arteta team is currently enthusiastic about moving up to first place and beating Liverpool even though away matches are always difficult for a club, but I am very sure that Arteta has a good plan.

Liverpool against Arsenal is an interesting match that will shape the way the Premiership title will go this season. Checking their H2H record, Arsenal have only won Liverpool once in their last 9 meetings. This makes Liverpool the favorite to win the match but base on present realities, Arsenal have maintained a good performance this season and have a golden opportunity of winning the league. So I see them going all out challenge their closest rivals. Liverpool will however, not give yield easily, Mo Salah will do his best to win a trophy this season because there are indications this may be his last season in Anfield. A lot are unclear about the match and it will really be difficult to predict.

Unai Emery return to the Premier is at the right time. Liverpool against Arsenal should a full time draw, if it is not, then it should be a narrow win for the gunners.

One year and one month with Aston Villa, Unai Emery is the most successful coach. In his 62 matches with Aston Villa, he has provided 36 wins. Based on these statistics, for me, Unai Emery deserves to get the best coach trophy for December with the achievements obtained by Aston Villa.
Against Sheffield United, for me Aston Villa will win easily even though the result is uncertain.

In the Liverpool vs Arsenal match, I agree that the result is more likely to be a draw because Liverpool and Arsenal will fight tooth and nail not to lose points. Arsenal's chances of winning are slim to me because Liverpool are very strong at Anfield. As far as I know, Arsenal's best achievement at Anfield was a draw.
Unai Emery deserves the award as the best coach of December, although we should not underestimate the abilities possessed by several other good coaches in the EPL. I have the same thoughts as you, on paper Aston Villa has a big chance of securing full points by beating Sheffield United. If the scenario goes according to plan, these three points will put Aston Villa at the top of the standings temporarily, while waiting for the results of the match between Liverpool versus Arsenal.

Liverpool and Arsenal will face each other to confirm their top position, of course both Klopp and Arteta want to avoid a draw. Losing points means losing position in the standings, the tight competition and small difference in points gives Aston Villa good luck. Likewise with Man City, if Pep squad draws again then Tottenham will overtake their position.

Fine by Time
There could be an opportunity for Aston Villa to take the lead in the standings by this week. Because while Liverpool are hosting Arsenal in a really challenging game Aston Villa have a very comfortable home game against Sheffield Utd. I expect a really easy win for Aston Villa considering how much they are in form these days. Nothing below is acceptable for them now.

They are going to play their game before the Liverpool - Arsenal game as well which means they will probably take the lead temporarily already. Like I said before I feel like Liverpool will win against Arsenal at Anfield. But if we get a draw then congrats to Aston Villa on their lead.  Grin
Dont get your hopes too high. Expect the unexpected to happen at Anfield soon. Also, @velvet78 there is no certainty that Liverpool will win Arsenal. The both teams are playing well and we saw last season Arsenal was leading with 3 goals untill Liverpool came back to equalize 3 to 3 to secure a draw. Arsenal is currently better than last season. Because in this season they are conceeding less goals because their defence are much stronger now. With the likes of Saliba, Gabriel, Ben white and Declan Rice as a DM. Liverpool should be more careful because Kai Havertz is ready to score at anytime in the match.

That's a great one, at most the home record looks great and whoever has hopes of playing them at home should have a time to double check anf think about it. Chelsea approached the game against Sheffield United too dull amd slow when they faced over the weekend. There was no difference between how they played and how Sheffield United did. It was Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer alongside the midfielder's that won Chelsea that game.

I'm gonna be biased, I want Arsenal to win the Premier League. Both sides should score themselves, but picking a side to win or draw? That's gonna be Arsenal.

Arsenal are close, the exact way they were so close to winning the EPL title last season. Aston Villa faces Sheffield United which is not even considered a top game for them, they can easily thrashed their opponents without finding any difficulty. A big achievement if Aston Villa can be able to maintain balance in the midst of elite clubs. HAston Villa in the top four and this is a new beginning for the club and the fans are amazed about the outstanding form from their players and they will tender all the necessary helps to ensure everything works smoothly for the club. Unai Emery have become one of the good coach for Aston Villa this season. He has priorities of skyrocketing the Villa's to the top.
