I wrote yesterday that Villa is not an easy opponent for Man City and now Villa are in third place in the standings... I thought that City would score, but Villa won with a minimum of one goal... It was a good match... Today it will be interesting to watch the game Spurs vs Hammers...

Aston Villa outperformed Man City in every aspect in this match. I believe it's due to Man City's strong determination, but Aston Villa's aggressive play seemed to disrupt Pep Guardiola's plans. Aston Villa executed an excellent defensive blockade.
What a surprising game, I never imagine the match will end that way because I was actually thinking that Manchester City will win Aston Villa yesterday because they have the best team ever, honestly as big and strong Manchester City is could not perform well yesterday, perhaps they underestimated Aston Villa too much because they believe that they can easily win Aston Villa without taking much of there time but reversal was the case.

Aston Villa defense was so impressive in times of performance, I love there strategy yesterday because after they scored the goal they all went back to defensive play and however Manchester City tried all they could to break the defense but could not because of how strong Aston Villa is yesterday.

This Villa team won Tottenham at home a few weeks ago.
Although Spurs aren't a reference since they are very instable and fluctuating a lot but I agree that Aston Villa are doing good this season overall. Today's game against Manchester City was another story, it was a very good result for them and shocking one for Manchester City fans and management. Guardiola is witnessing the 4th bad result in a row and the decrease in the ranking for his team.

Gunners won with difficulty their game vs Luton Town and Manchester United made an important victory against Chelsea. They are 3 points away from Manchester City!!
I'm happy for Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United players in their important win against Chelsea last night. This win Manchester United had over Chelsea will help boost the confidence of Manchester United players and they can pick a form of winning their matches. Manchester City is missing the absence of Kevin De Bruyne in their midfield, which is causing Manchester City to struggle to win their matches.

Yeah of a truth Manchester united were in a very good performance yesterday like I enjoyed the game, so happy for Manchester united at least for winning one of the big names in England is really an achievement for the club and they've shown that they can still pick form and win matches despite their initial flop, I think by this win of Manchester united, their gap to being in the top four isn't that much again. Scott McTominay brace saw the united team through at the old Trafford, just that their inconsistency is really what is affecting United because they will win a match and lose their next match just like that, had it been they win consecutively then they would have been in the top four spot by now.
Manchester United beat Chelsea in their last match. Manchester United started the season very badly but now they look like a good performing team. With three wins out of the last four matches in the English Premier League, they have managed to climb well up the points table. Manchester United is now the sixth team in the points table and their number of points is 27. If Manchester United is more serious in the upcoming matches and if they perform well in the upcoming matches then they will be able to take their position higher.  Point table number four and number 5 team with Manchester United's point difference is only 3, so if they can perform well in the end, then Manchester United must be able to be in the top 5 of the point table.
Manchester United had a very bad start last season in the Premier League but they ended up finishing 3rd in the Premier League table. Is like Manchester United wants to take the same step they did last season, Manchester United is looking like a top-four contender in the Premier League this season. Erik Ten Hag should do something about Onana before he causes Manchester United more harm.

However, there is something that makes me think a little and wonder why Manchester City has experienced a very bad decline in performance in the last few matches and many gamblers have lost in every Manchester City match.
Since Manchester City experienced a draw against Chelsea, since then I have never bet on Manchester City again, it seems that there is something lacking in their back line and their front line is not as good as last season. To be honest, KDB's role seems to be very influential up front. Also, sometimes Gundogan, who was always the savior, was also not in the squad and moved to Barcelona.

I think since there is no KDB and Gundogan, Manchester City's game is a bit dull on the front line, even though sometimes they can score more goals, the result will still be a draw, the opposing team will score the same goals, just look at the last five matches, there have been three draws and defeats against Aston. Villa is certainly food for thought for Guardiola to overhaul his squad well so that they don't experience defeats and bad results again.

What happen to Manchester City, Aston Villa successfully pressuring Manchester City and that make Manchester City can only give 3 shots. The absence of Rodri really make Manchester City looks like a mediocre club. Alvarez can still able to replace De Bruyne, but there's no one can replace Rodri even they have 3-4 defensive midfielders.

Unexpectedly, Man City lost to Aston Villa. In this match, it was clear that without Rodri's presence, Man City could not develop their best game, especially as Aston Villa played better than Man City. Aston Villa's game is very well organized, the players are fast and physically strong, Aston Villa is able to control many aspects.

Manchester United got an important victory by beating Chelsea. McTominay became the hero of the match. Chelsea is a team that is extra motivated against big teams. Remember the match against Manchester City. They also made Arsenal and Tottenham lose points. The fact that they are currently 10th in the league does not change that they are a difficult team. A well-deserved win for Manchester United. I expect them to slowly catch up with their form.

Losing Rodri is really have an affect to Manchester City midfield lines because there was no player who can able to performing well and replace his position as holding midfielder and Manchester City have failed to hold the aggressive strategy applied by Aston Villa and during the match it's clearly Manchester City attacking lines didn't performing well because based on the statistics i have seen Manchester City has 2 shot on goals which is this never happend before and after this result Aston Villa was successfully to taking over 3rd place from Manchester City so this result make Manchester City is under pressure now because as defending champion their performance were slightly decline and seems a bit hard for Manchester City to defend their title this season
I was a little disappointed with Manchester City's performance yesterday which thwarted my multi bet and this is really the impact of losing Rodri whereas this player is very important for Pep Guardiola as a midfielder who can always control the situation and I agree with you if the attack line lacks a strong performance but this is not the fault of Manchester City's attack line, but because Aston Villa uses a very tight defense so that Manchester City's attacking players cannot find empty places to score, so it is natural that Haaland cannot score.
However, there is something that makes me think a little and wonder why Manchester City has experienced a very bad decline in performance in the last few matches and many gamblers have lost in every Manchester City match.

The Norwegian doesn't have all the qualities of a good striker if you ask me. His footwork is one of the weakest among English Premier League strikers and he rarely falls back deep to take ball and play it to their opponent's 18 yard box. Erling Haaland is a sharp striker that knows how to position in games but he need to improve his footwork in other to be able to deliver in games that his team are finding difficult to break.
I couldn't agree with you more on this. I usually say that Haaland is not a big game player and some people would look at me like I've grown two heads. It's true, because you can't just rate a player based on the goals he scores but his overall impact. I'm certain that if he were to still be at Dortmund, he wouldn't have gotten this amount of goals and you'll agree with me that Dortmund aren't of the same standard as Man City.
Let's take Jullian Alvarez for instance, he may not have as much goals as Haaland but you see him creating chances that would result in goal scoring opportunities but that's not the same for Haaland who prefers that the other players do the dirty work and he just stands in position to net the ball home. Then supposing there is no opportunity like that, you see him walking around the field like someone who's already exhausted.
For Man City, this their recent performance just goes to show that all good things can come to an end. The season is still fresh and maybe Pep has another plan up his sleeved but for now, Man City are slowly waning.

This could be a sign that English Premier League clubs have more evenly distributed strength, not solely concentrated within the top 6 clubs. The match showcased that any team, regardless of their standing, can present a formidable challenge to even the traditionally stronger sides.
You are right, I watched the game yesterday and what I saw totally shocked me. The Way Aston Villa played the game really impressed me. They are inform and in the top 4. City were really not at their best. Pep has to find a way to navigate through this tough period for City. But am happy about the performance of Aston Villa.

Can Manchester City win the Premier League? Pep Guardiola already saying he'll win but it doesn't seem so to me even if he get his assist machine back in, ( Kevin De Bruyne ) it might be tooo late to achieve and clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal maybe far gone already.
Let's see how many points Manchester City are behind the first position that is currently hold by Arsenal. It's 6 points!

I don't say 6 points is a small difference but it is not too big to exclude Manchester City from the title race and their chance to win Premier League. Manchester City in last 6 seasons, usually have a habit of playing very well in last months of season. The past season is a latest example of this style when they took over the first position from Arsenal in last weeks of season.

Quote
Julian Alvarez for Kevin De Bruyne? That's a big joke he can't be. Alvarez looks sad, he wants to score goals. Manchester United did well last night they should have scored more than that though. Sanchez made some good number of saves.
Julian Alvarez does not have similar skill set like Kevin De Bruyne and he is not like a midfielder too. He can play together with Haaland and give Haaland some kind of support but as a replacement for De Bruyne, he can not. In Manchester City, I think of two players who have skills and can be a temporary replacement for De Bruyne, Foden and Silva.

It was a brilliant and magnificent performance by Aston Villa their match possession of 46% attest to the fact Aston Villa took the game to their visitors and played their best match of the season while Man City possession was 56% unfortunately unfortunately with few goal scoring chances, it was a very entertaining match by both team both team deployed attacking display,  however Villa could have scored more goals and kudos to Martinez for his brilliant saves which could change the match had Man City scored their scoring chances, with this result Man City had lost 3 matches this season thus their title bid is gradually waning.

The absence of Rodri should be no excuse here, Instead of using Akanji as a double pivot with John Stones, why not introduce in Kalvin Philips? I really ponder at times what that lad has done for him not to get a single chance. He was a good lad for Leeds United truthfully.

Villa are playing some of the most entertaining football I've seen in a while. Quick passing, high pressing and brave. I said at the start of the season that Emery’s Aston Villa would surprise us and they are playing brilliantly this season. I hope that they keep it up and make this a title race to remember.
Any win is good but a win against Manchester City is something else. They came out with everything against Manchester city, dominated and outplayed them everywhere on the pitch.

They’re a very strong team to beat at home this season. I think they haven’t lost or drawn any of their home games this season. With the way it’s going, I think nobody is coming to villa park and getting an easy game.. not one team. I know they’ve got the bests home record in Europe at the moment. Arsenal would have to do some magic to beat them but they can do it because  they did it last season too. It will be interesting to see who wins when Arsenal play Villa at weekend.
Honestly, this Manchester city lost keeps the title race interesting. It now looks like Aston villa might do what Newcastle did last season.

As I predicted, Mancity continued to drop points against Aston Villa in the absence of Rodri. They were not themselves without Rodri; they compacted their defense, handed over control to Aston Villa, and losing was understandable. Mancity seems to be in a crisis similar to Tottenham, with four consecutive winless matches in the Premier League. Mancity fans are understandably frustrated as their team has let too many points slip away recently, allowing rivals to widen the gap.

Meanwhile, Liverpool stays close to Arsenal with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United. McTominay helped Ten Hag relieve some pressure by shining with a brace, securing a win for Mu against Chelsea. I think this is an excellent time for Arsenal and Liverpool to capitalize on the opportunity to distance themselves from teams behind like Mancity and Tottenham, giving them a significant advantage in the late stages of the season.

I think, Manchester city are still experiencing some challenges from those their players that are still experiencing injuries over some matches now and it has caused them to experienced defeat from many teams that has reduced their points.
I don't think Manchester city has any excuse and injuries isn't an issue, yes I used to wrongfully think that they can blame their situation on injuries but come to think of it the reason a team has depth is in preparation for injuries. last season Arsenal had some injuries that enabled Manchester city pass them to clinch the English premier league, so they should not blame injuries every team experiences it but still Manchester city has good players to cover up. Aston Villa played very well from the goal keeper to the striker and they deserved the victory.

This win Manchester United had over Chelsea will help boost the confidence of Manchester United players and they can pick a form of winning their matches. Manchester City is missing the absence of Kevin De Bruyne in their midfield, which is causing Manchester City to struggle to win their matches.

Scott McTominay was the player of the match, while Eric Ten Hag was the manager of the match. I was super impressed by the efforts put into the game by the Manchester United players and it was a great challenge they took to themselves to gain this strong 3 points. Eric Ten Hag has shown some strong performance efforts over the Chelsea yesterday and I admire him most sincerely. If they had not losed the penalty, it would have been a 3 over 1 goal.

I was shocked about the Manchester City lost. I thought they will win over Aston Villa but I was not sure of the reason why there was that delay until when I saw the late goal by Bailey maintain the perfect home record of the Unai Emery. I can't believe this will be the fourth Premier League for Pep Guardiola without a win. Haaland did have two chances to win a goal which makes them fall to the fourth position in the table.
