FT: Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

Manchester City are back! The real Manchester City fans always believed in the team. I noticed the number of empty seats in the stadium today. Not to worry, the runaways will be back soon enough to join in the success. City are not out of the title race just yet, the combo of Jack Grealish, Kevin de Bruyne and Gundo in the midfield could just be the missing piece City needs to win their next 20 games.

Now we see what De Bruyne means to the team. He changed the pace and the game for Man City and got them an easy big win to break the bad form. If De Bruyne continues to play and is healthy maybe we can see Man City back on the winning run. But i think they need to get a good midfielder in the next transfer window so they can change the season for the better

Are you kidding me?😂 This is the English Premier League where the unexpected do happen, if as a manager you feel you can dominate the EPL as you have been doing in the other leagues and winning trophies, in the EPL they will humble you and you start sitting on a cooler just like Amorim did. Good thing Arsenal won with a clean sheet with a wonderful performance, if UTD had won the game I wonder what we would have been hearing coming from Amorim in the morning. Manchester United played like they're still under ETH, no change or whatsoever, the midfield was terrible and there was nothing to write about it. Bruno was nowhere to be found like the whole team wasn't match for the Gunners.
I ask who are those attackers Amorim used in this encounter against the Gunners? I don't think Manchester United will escape the second part of the league table if they depend on those two attackers Zirkzee and Hojlund, the both of them are not suppose to be in a team as Man UTD especially the stroller Zirkzee, he doesn't have the qualities of a good attacker and I haven't seen what he has done for the team since he joined the Red Devils..
UTD should thank the works of the defenders, they tried but the force of the Gunners was too much to handle, the problem wasn't the defense line, is from the midfield to the attack, all of them were desperately poor. They couldn't repeat what they did against Everton which means their next game would be another difficult one for Amorim, first big test he lost and let's wait for more big games for UTD.

This is probably the first time I've really enjoyed a midweek game in the English premier league, and I think they've made my night. I actually watched the Arsenal Vs United game, but I had to switch to the Liverpool game the moment Newcastle equalized to make it 3-3. What a crazy night of football. Sadly for Liverpool, they dropped 2 points, making the title race very lively again. Chelsea continued with their fine run again,. pushing them to the second position. The Arsenal game was just the biggest game for the night.

I think from the first half, both teams played well, but it was just too boring. The main game started in the second half. Arsenal these days now take corners as penalties, as they where just too dangerous from both sides. They really played a good football, but martinelli wasn't at his best today. Seeing Zinchenko on the lineup, I thought Manchester united was going to exploit that position, but it was obvious that they didn't come up with a good tactics to doing that. William Saliba had to do both the job of Gabriel and his own. He was literally all over the defense, and also supporting the attack. Timber was exceptional as well.

The thing I observed with United was their inability to create quality chances from the wings, and also failing to utilize the midfield. They allowed arsenal take control of the midfield. Amorim needs to understand that the premier league is quite different. He will definitely meet Slot and  pep soon, but I want to believe that today's game was an eye opener. The media won't take it easy on him.

Problems in Manchester City are from both attacking, midfield and defense areas, and it's multiple challenges for Pep to resolve. It's not easy to resolve like you only have problems in defense and you can use your team's powerful attacks to cover weakness in defense. Or if your attacking power has issues, you can use your midfielders or defenders as aces under sleeves to have winning goals.
Very complete, as experienced by Real Madrid, even worse if it is related to injury. And fortunately, this time, Man City was able to break their chain of defeats so far with a very satisfying victory when they beat Nottingham Forest 3-0. Yes, Finally, Pep Guardiola can smile with satisfaction, able to celebrate and express himself as usual when getting a victory. And we love this pic. But it does not mean that this is the end, because they still have to fight many more top clubs in the future.

Source: Man City have beaten Nottingham Forest 3-0

Finally, we see a green graph and the letter W in the row of L letters.
Finally, we see the green graph and the letter W in the row of the letter L. Not only that, their statistics are also getting better, at least the accuracy is increasing, from 7 shots on target, there are 3 goals.

But there was honestly no way that Manchester United would be able to win that game away from home against Arsenal. They have now won three consecutive games and are in great shape, which is still not the case for Manchester United and as you said, it still feels like ETH is coaching them. He has had so much negative impact on the team that I think it will take quite some time for Amorim to get changes going and improve the team.

Looking at the results of today's games, I think I'm very satisfied with the the outcome. I don't think there's any big surprise here except in the Newcastle vs Liverpool thriller which ended in stalemate. Which of the fixtures were you more interested in and did the result correspond with your predictions? Let me read your takes

Both Manchester teams played, definitely a good day for premier football. Manchester United lost to Arsenal, but to be fair Arsenal is a top team, so losing to them isn't really a horrible deal, looks and feels like that was a game to lose and feels okay to lose that one, Amorim would of course wanted to win that one, it would have given a boost in morale that would have gone for a fairly long time, but they will face easier opponents soon, so there is no worry. Bigger news of the day, City finally got a win, had to wait seven games to get one, but they finally did, I do not know if this will change something psychologically and they will go on a run or something, but surely its something to celebrate after over a month of not winning any game.
Before the match started, I believed Arsenal would secure a win against Manchester United. I thought Manchester United wouldn't be able to stop Arsenal from earning their three points at home, especially since Arsenal needed to keep winning to maintain their hopes of lifting the Premier League trophy this season. Manchester United played to their best possession in their match against Arsenal. It was a 50/50 match, just that they were unlucky to convert their opportunities into goals. They should put their heads together and get prepared to host Nottm Forest on Saturday, as a home win will be a better option for them to shoot them above the 10th spot they are currently are.

It's interesting to see Manchester City have their win after losing four PL games before this win, but let it be assured to them that this season's trophy is not meant for them as usual because one of the current top teams will lift it instead of them.

Who else noticed that Arsenal were able to give Amorim a cause to feel defeated? Asides from the fact that the Gunners scored all three points and maintained a clean sheet as well, they also managed to make Man UTD look like they haven't improved.
At the beginning of the game, both sides looked like they needed to get acquainted with playing each other and hence there were little mistakes and lack of coordination but I think Arsenal recovered themselves later on and began controlling the game.
No doubt that at some point in the game it looked like Man UTD will prove stubborn for the Gunners but it only took the goal from Jurriel Timber to scatter any well formed defense the visitors were hoping to achieve.
First defeat for Amorim as coach of Man UTD and I must say he too knew that winning this game would have been by a bigger stroke of luck considering that his team haven't gotten to the standard were they will be confident enough to beat Arsenal.

But Guardiola realized that this season is over, at least when it is about defending the title. He made a gesture showing the Liverpool 6 fingers because he wanted to return the provocations, saying that Manchester City won 6 titles in the last 7 years. He usually doesn't do that when he knows he is still in the race and it is all about being a gentleman. But in this case he couldn't hold back because he knew that a Liverpool win is putting the title race to rest for Manchester City. They need to recalibrate for this season.

Manchester City should focus on other titles indeed because English Premier League title will depend most from other teams results, mainly Liverpool of course, rather than Manchester City players performance.
I am pretty sure Guardiola is the most pissed one by the results of his team. He didn't see that coming and the good performance of Liverpool and the results they taken after Klopp departure weren't expected by most people.
Liverpool is getting 9 points gap which is a large score after 13 rounds in the league.

That is not how Pep Guardiola works. When not even half of the games have been played, he would never give up on any title. I think he is still hoping that his team can now finally pull off a very long winning streak and make up for some of the points that Liverpool is ahead, but in order for that to become true, Liverpool needs to lose games.

The match against Arsenal has reminded the Manchester United fans and team in a whole that are still not closed to their best especially when they having a top team. I think the lost is more better for development, they should now be focusing more on becoming better.

Manchester City has finally gotten an EPL win after a long while. Playing against Nottingham Forest's wasn't actually easy fir them now, especially from the fact that Nottingham Forest has been on an excellent form this season and they were having poor matches performances recently notably in the defense, they did well today to keep a cleansheet and did score 3 goals against Nottingham Forest who have been having a good defending prowess this season. I think they might be back, let's see how they fair in their next match against Crystal Palace, that ought to be an easy win.

Liverpool team tried hard and after a long time competing with Newcastle team, Liverpool team finally ended up drawing this game. Liverpool is stronger among these two teams because they are at the top of the points table, but Newcastle team is strong in their home field. That is why they were able to score three goals in this match today, although there was a lot of competition in the half time before half time, in which Newcastle team was able to score one goal.

Then Liverpool team started attacking again and immediately there was a lot of goals between the two teams and finally the game ended with 3-3 goals. In this case, those who bet on a draw in this match today were really lucky, but until the end of the game it seemed that Liverpool team would be ahead. In the end, Newcastle team player Fabian Schar scored a goal and saved his team from losing 3 points.

I believe that this match is on the list of the matches they can consider to be part of their successful journey, which always has something to teach. Manchester United played against a really tough rival like Arsenal, which is why the desire to win a match does not end in hopes after a defeat. On the other hand, Manchester City’s victory after long period of time gives fresh air it can help the teams to perform better in the next match. I believe that people should encourage the actions of both teams in order to expect only extraordinary results from them in the future.

You got the point right. Arsenal has been a good team with great form since 3 seasons ago. Using them to measure the strength of new Amorim is not fair. I expected Arsenal to win but I pray the Manchester United lose shouldn't make them slide back to bad form. It is a graduate process, Rome is not built in a day. Manchester United did actually played a good football and I believe they will not lose their next match.

This defeat showed that Manchester United's biggest problem is in the squad, and I think that the Manchester United coach must have convinced himself with this defeat that with this squad he doesn't have the capacity to win the Premier League, but this is all the fault of the previous coaches who have made a lot of mistakes when it comes to signing players, they spent a lot of money signing players that in my opinion were unnecessary. In attack, Manchester United needs to sell all the attacking players and make new signings, I would recommend signing Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyökeres. If they had a duo of these players, Manchester United's attack would be very effective. In midfield they also need changes, they have to sell some players and sign new ones, in defense the same thing. They can keep the goalkeeper.

Liverpool have started same old nonsense again and the reason why I say this is because Manchester city are a team that never gives up and when they are on their stride they can replicate the same same old form of what happened to him but just that this time around they would be the one winning all the games and not the other way around. I know it's still early to criticize them on the piny dropped bur they should remember what happened as a lesson not go repeat it self.

Newcastle is not a bad team, a draw is quite a normal option here. In the sense that you can not win all games and have a 100% result. At the moment, Liverpool has gained 83% of points and this is a solid indicator for the Premier League. They have mostly easy games until the end of the first half, so the chances of Liverpool seriously improving their statistics are high.

M.City won for the first time in 7 matches.
M.City won comfortably by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0.

Liverpool tied with a goal in the last minutes and the match ended 3-3. It was a nice and goal-rich match. Liverpool's point difference with its closest rival has decreased to 7.

Arsenal beat M.United 2-0 and continues in the championship race without losing any points.

With Kelvin De Bruyne back to City line up, I think their night mares are over. City played with total control of the match and came up with an emphatic win over Nottingham Forest. With the way the Manchester City played this match, I'm convinced that they are back to winning ways. With Kevin available again for selection, things won't be that bad again for Manchester City. I won't even say that City going on a winning streak is impossible because this won't be the first time that they have done it. I would have agreed with you that it is impossible if Kelvin and Rodri were both out. But with Kelvin De Bruyne back with the squad, the team is looking more sharper and they can break through any obstacle and win matches. With this win, Manchester City players will start regaining their confidence and their performance will improve. Manchester City can clear their next six games with losing again. It has happened with this team before, so there is no point doubting it. For Manchester City to keep a clean sheet today, is indeed a good sign for the team.
I don't doubt Kevin De Bruyne; the only problem with him is inconsistency due to injury; he can get injured anytime. That is why Rodri has been Manchester City's best player that they relied on.

Manchester City need a good defensive midfielder to rely on if Rodri gets injured, because despite their good form in all positions, if they have a defensive problem, they will keep losing matches, which is not proper; they need to buy a good defensive midfielder in the January transfer window.

Chelsea's performance has improved this season, their performance this season can’t be compared to last season because they have an experienced coach currently. Their performance has been so good this season, and Chelsea surprised me by scoring 5 goals today. I never expected them to score up to five goals in the match. Chelsea played well, and I am sure all their fans will be pleased with their good performance. Enzo Maresca is doing everything possible to make sure Chelsea maintains the top 4 position till the ending of the season, and with the pattern that he is using, I am sure he will be able to achieve that.

Enzo Maresca is doing a very good job; he has made Chelsea the competitive team we used to know in the past. He has imposed confidence in the players and has made Chelsea a team to be afraid of whenever you face them this season; unlike last season, where the team was battling for a draw in some matches, this season, Chelsea is contesting for the Premier League title.
With this performance so far tonight one can proudly say that Chelsea football club has picked form and a bit stable now and face any of the top team in English league without,  Enzo is currently doing a good job at Stamford bridge.

Seeing Arsenal getting all their goals via corner kick is something others should take more of, literally they have been referred to as the best set piece team in the premier League.  In the first half Manchester United was brilliant but sadly in the second half they couldn't get a good attempt at Arsenal, it became almost one sided, and the history continues of Manchester United not been able to win Arsenal in the  past years.
