You are right and this even happened at the end of the last season when Manchester City won the Premier League title while Arsenal was in the first place in the league for weeks and people were thinking this team is going to the win the title.
But I think this time Arteta is more experienced and he is not going to lose this place easily anymore.

Am I the only one who thinks Arsenal's performance was better last season than this season? They played better football at the beginning of last season, but I am not really certified by their performance this season yet. Even with the signings that Arsenal made, their performance was still better last season. Let’s just hope there is a difference in Arsenal's performance this season. Let’s hope they can maintain their current position till the end of the season, which I am not really sure will be possible yet. But since everyone is expecting improvement in Arsenal's performance due to new signings, let’s just wait and see.
I don't think so because after all if you look at the current statistics they are still quite good until now even though there are some matches that should be won instead end with a draw like against Fulham at the beginning of the season. But their performance has been quite good so far. Holding Tottenham and Chelsea and winning against Manchester City is actually something very good.
Moreover, they are now in the top position so I think it's a bit inaccurate to say the performance is worse than before. On other hand its still too early to say their performance is better or worse when compared to last season because we have to look at the whole season to compare now unless the difference is too significant to be seen but now it's not much different from last season.

Arsenal are bad at continuity. Manchester, on the other hand, is more experienced in terms of consistency.
This current group of City players are so used to winning the EPL, something that this current Arsenal team are lacking, this is why City are favorites to win the league and why they become unstoppable when we get to the later stages of the season. Arsenal are getting closer anyway, they might not win the league this season, but in a few years time they prolly would, they learnt their lessons last season and if they fail again this season, they'll learn more things along the way as well, the Arsenal hierarchy basically have to keep Arteta at the club and support him, sooner or later they'd be EPL champions again.
You are right but lets not underrate, Manchester city as a club may still make some mistakes which may end up costing the trophy this season even with their best and well experienced players.

By the way, since the Manchester city players are so used to winning, how come they allowed their game wit Chelsea to end in a draw? This should tell us that, any team can rise up from anywhere to win the title, it doesnt matter who's more experienced and who's not, it's all about effort and luck as well.

Not like it's been stamped somewhere that Manchester city will be the only team who would keep winning the title all seasons, this makes epl very boring to honest.

They are not hundred percent strong like they played last season. Point deduction will also strike City whenever they do not expect it. They have been accused of violations pointing at the rules.

Not just Man City,  Liverpool,  Arsenal and  Newcastle are clubs that will make it to the champions league and fight for who will won the league tittle. Pep Guadiola is so good that how he wants to play reflects on a good player. Akanji did not play the midfield welwith Rodri during the weekend he has been converted to defender.

What's happening in the last season can't be the measure for the same thing to happen now. Although Arsenal failed to maintain their position in the previous season, doesn't mean it must happen in the current season as well. I think Arsenal squad is better now, they has a better capability to do a different thing. Sure, Arteta must take a big lesson from everything happened previously. So, he must have a plan to avoid the same thing to  happen in this season.

Manchester City’s squad is not as strong this season as their last season; the new players they added are yet to be fully in the team, and as a result of that, it’s affecting their performance even though they are still doing well this season. One of the main Arsenal problems last season was squad depth, and the second was the inability to beat Manchester City both home and away. But this season, even though it is becoming tough because so many teams are competing for the title, I still see Arsenal as a team to give them a challenge, if not even win the league, because their consistency in the competition matters.

It will be interesting if Arsenal wins it so we don’t see one team winning the league again and again everytime. Arsenal can surprise us this season even if Manchester City is experienced enough, if Arsenal can keep up the momentum then they can probably extend the lead even further.
Last season, Arsenal were also at the top of the standings for quite a long time. However, their mistakes kept repeating and their inconsistency made them overtaken by Man City at that time. If this season continues to be the same, it is possible that Arsenal will fail again. Even though we admit that Arsenal can always provide a good surprise, we also don't doubt the strength of the squad and Arteta's intelligence in managing the team. However, sometimes there is still inconsistency in them, so they sometimes fall during games that are not too tough. Hopefully this season won't be like that. However, the rivalry with Man City must also be considered because after all, Man City is a very strong rival and it would be dangerous if Arsenal slipped to losing once, maybe this will give Man City another chance to take over. top of the standings again. But at least, for the next few matches, Arsenal will have opponents who are not tough enough for them, while on the other hand, Man City is still taking turns getting tough opponents.

Everyone is expecting Arsenal to drop from the first position soon since they are just ahead of Manchester City with just a point difference.
I don't think so. Arsenal fans must expect Arsenal to stay in the top of the EPL standings. It is just the fans of their opponents that expect Arsenal to miss points and drop its position. Sure, the point gap is very small, it is 1 point only. However, 1 point means a lot, it make Arsenal to have a better chance to be the champion.

We all saw what happened to Arsenal last season, they were ahead of Manchester City, which was in the second position with a reasonable amount of points, which everyone was thinking Manchester City wouldn’t be able to cover up, but we all saw how Arsenal wasted the great opportunity that they had last season. Everyone has been saying Arteta has learned from his mistake, but I just hope he has really done so. But I don’t still believe Arsenal can stay in the first position for a long time, we shouldn’t be talking about winning the league yet.

Arsenal has a very hard task to keep consistent till the end of season. The competition in the late season will be far more interesting.
Some clubs will be adding more bullets to make sure they can shoot the PL trophy properly. Arsenal may be also spending a lot of money to strengthen its club again.

The current squad is not yet strong enough as it was always struggling against the middie tier club.
The end of the season is still a long way off as we're now facing the middle of the season and it could also be difficult for them.
This season will not be the same as last season because at the moment the competitiveness is still felt. not only about Manchester City but currently Liverpool is also making a difference by making the competition in the EPL very interesting.

Araenal mang is still a lot of gaps but I think reshuffling again and again will actually create problems for themselves. Currently Arsenal is always known as one of the wasteful clubs and if in the end they have to do another overhaul I think it will not be too good for their money situation and cash movements and it will be more worth it to maximize the current strength with some emphasis especially for mentality so that the performance of their young players can be better than today.
The EPL competition is getting more interesting seeing strong candidates such as Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool who are trying to compete for first place. So far it seems that these three teams appear competitive in every match, especially I see Liverpool who are able to hold the defending champions Manchester City and Arsenal to a draw. beating Manchester City in the 8th match in the EPL, it seems that currently Manchester City has a tough competitor to win the title this season because Arsenal and Liverpool seem to have almost the same potential as Manchester City's strength.

It is not yet certain whether Arsenal will recruit new players when the winter transfer market opens because the English league has regulations not to exceed the spending limit in buying players or what are called FFP rules. If they are violated, they will be subject to sanctions like Everton, apart from being detrimental. This will also have a negative impact on the players' mentality.

Arsenal are very confident in winning a trophy this season. Arsenal board appointed Mikel Arteta and he has brought out the best performance from the club, they're currently competing with Manchester City for the league title this season. Mikel Arteta have growned and gain solid experience in football specifically the EPL this season. He knows how to handle current matters on ground without facing any panic, he will keep scale through these difficult times and before anybody would realized, they're ontop of the English Premier League this season.

Arsenal is leading the competition now with very small gap toward manchester city and liverpool. Arsenal shall not make another mistake. Missing a point will be enough for city and liverpool to surpass arsenal. Arsenal has not yet faced hard fixtures.
It's the time for arsenal to get full points from the mediocre club. Arsenal is once again repeating the same performance as last season but i doubt that if arsenal will able to maintain its performance till the end of season.
Arteta is still doing some things to strengthen its club like try to get a new midfielder from aston villa and he will also try to recruit a new striker like osimhen.

Arsenal has a very hard task to keep consistent till the end of season. The competition in the late season will be far more interesting.

Arsenal is leading the Premier League table, and this is a feat they achieved over a period of time during last season’s outing till they made some mistakes which cost them the title at the long run. Now again, they’re leading with just a point and they’ve got to do everything possible to avoid same mistakes they made last season. Currently, Arsenal aren’t playing in their best form but they still keep getting 3 points and that’s what essential to win a trophy

They still need to have a very good squad depth to avoid repetition of last season especially as they’re having more fixtures than last season. A strong investment will be needed to get this team in a pretty good shape and serious title contenders, in my opinion I think they should focus more on strengthening their defense line than any other areas.

I still doubt their ability to stay longer than next week on the first position on the league table because the point difference between them and Manchester city is just too slim and it will take Manchester city to win just a match alongside arsenal loosing a match and Manchester city will be ahead.

Arteta is a good coach but he lacks consistency with how well he is able to maintain his position on the league table, I hope he will be able to do better than he did last season where he couldn't win the league title allowing Manchester city to come from behind and win, some how I can spot some their recent performance to have the possibility of getting them to put up same performance as they did yesterday which cost them the league title.

It's very natural for you to say that, after all the difference in points from the top 4 in the standings is not that far from Arsenal. especially the difference between Manchester City and Liverpool, who are only 1-2 points apart. which means, changes can occur every week. however, if I refer to Arsenal's future matches, especially against Wolves, Loton and even Aston Villa, Arsenal still has a big chance to win.
So, it's possible that Arsenal will survive in the next few weeks. in fact, it is possible that they will still maintain it. Most importantly, Arteta and his squad are able to perform consistently, especially as their target this season is to win the Premier League trophy. As for the match between City and Arsenal, there is still quite a long time lag.

We agree that Arteta is a competent coach, but that doesn't mean he is inconsistent. IMO, one thing that I think is lacking from Arteta is when responding to his team being or having difficulty creating opportunities or being left behind first. However, recently there has been a change for Arteta. Likewise, he started to dare to try rotating some of his players.  Different from last season, currently Arteta is preparing his team more to compete fiercely in the race for the League trophy. the only thing I want, Arsenal has another different striker. at least, as a replacement for Nketiah who has the status of a pure striker. thus, this team will be even more competitive.

I think there is no significant change in Arsenal performance so far, I mean they have performed quite well this season and it is certainly an interesting journey for them in achieving their target of winning the title this season. Last season, Arsenal performed well and this season they are also very strong, but the difference this season is that Arsenal is participating in the Champions League and has a busier schedule. Arteta has changed Arsenal to become stronger, where Arsenal young players are getting stronger in their mentality to win titles and last season failure has become motivation for them to continue to be consistent this season.

This week, Arsenal is back at the top of the standings, so this could be a more impressive comeback in competing with Manchester City. We hope that Gabriel Jesus, Saka and Martinelli will not have anything negative happen to them such as injuries because these 3 players play quite an active role in Arsenal progress in every match. Last season Gabriel Jesus was injured at the end of the second half of the season which made Arsenal lose an important figure last season which had fatal consequences for them. When compared with other teams, Arsenal certainly has a greater chance of breaking Manchester City dominance in the Premier League.

Arsenal did try their luck and managed to become top of the standings, but I agree that they won't be first until the end of the season... Last season they had a 100% opportunity to win but god only knows why they couldn't do it... This season it seems to me that history will quickly repeat itself...
Arsenal are strong enough to challenge as well so it is too early to conclude if they are winning the league or not. Last season is in the past now and they must have learned from their mistakes so they would be much better prepared this time around though it will be difficult to win the title this season because it seems three teams will be challenging for it this season so it will be a tough challenge.

It is true that they handed over the leadership to Arsenal because of the 4 points Manchester City lost against 2 difficult teams, but there is only 1 point between them and Manchester City is good enough to complete this period as champion. Arsenal are bad at continuity. Manchester, on the other hand, is more experienced in terms of consistency.
It will be interesting if Arsenal wins it so we don’t see one team winning the league again and again everytime. Arsenal can surprise us this season even if Manchester City is experienced enough, if Arsenal can keep up the momentum then they can probably extend the lead even further.

I'm not even going to applaud Arsenal for sitting at the top of the table in this game week, they have been there before and the question is can they sit there till the end of this campaign and become champions? Only time would tell.
With Liverpool and Manchester City waiting for any little mistake for them to switch position is something the Gunners need to be careful about.
I doubt, For me Arsenal is a temporary occupant of that Premier League table right now, even the chances of them moving down the table in their next Premier League games is even high and imminent. They couldn't maintain the position the last time they had that Ample opportunity to lift the trophy when they were a few matches away from the end of the season, let alone now that the league is still far from ending. The club doesn't have the energetic squad to maintain the position to the end of the season, I still believe Manchester city has high chances of being winner come the end of the season.
I do not think that they are "that" bad, I do not think that they will win the title neither, that is true and I do think that they are going to end up losing games and these are all fine, however, I feel like it is not going to be as bad as you might think, I think it is going to be fine.

I understand a lot of people think that they are not that good and I understand why people think that way, but I think it is quite clear that they are going to be in the top four guaranteed. That should be good enough for them to be fair, they are not spending as much money as some of the other teams as far as I know, and getting a consistent top four would mean that they would get a lot more money and that could make the team better.

Manchester United for ten years have been a terrible hero-villain club. There is always a villain the fans and management blame for their losses.Harry Maguire was that villain for years. People forget Maguire is a good defender but then he comes to Manchester United and it seems all that has been washed away.
Now Andre Onana is this week’s villain. Erik Ten Hag expected a replica of Onana’s Inter Milan performance at United. I think the criticism of Onana are unfair, he’s not your 100% goalkeeper but he’s 90% in my books.

I don't dispute the fact that you see Liverpool and Manchester city as the strongest clubs in England because when you watch the play pattern of this both clubs you will know that the two clubs almost play same pattern of football and as well they have experienced and tactical players. Arsenal seems to also be among the strong contenders in the premier league but the problems they have is inconsistency as they will perform very to a level they will start dropping form again if not Arsenal is also a great club in England.
The consistency of Liverpool and Manchester City has been tested from the previous few seasons although last season there were some problems that befell Liverpool especially when some players like Jota who went back and forth to the recovery room, Luis Diaz who was absent for a very long time and Nunez who still did not perform well but now with new strength in midfield and the return of Salah's performance and some players who are still very fit like Diaz and Jota this adds to their strength and will return to compete in the title race again.
For Arsenal they have indeed in recent seasons seemed to rediscover the rhythm of their game but sometimes the rapid changes in terms of performance always occur for them and this is still a problem that they must solve. At the moment they are still very good but that does not mean the same problems as last season cannot occur so Arteta must be aware of this.

Arsenal still seem to want to continue their positive trend last season even though it failed at the end of the season but now they are still trying to come back so they can continue to compete for the title.
That's obviously very good but there are still some things Arteta needs to do to make their condition comfortable in the top position now. We know that sometimes maintaining a position is more difficult than having to chase so with this Arteta must still be able to maintain consistency so that they continue to play nicely and maintain their position in a very competitive situation now.
In addition, Arteta also still has to foster the enthusiasm of several players to have a good mentality, especially from attacking players. We know Kai is currently still very doubtful and even many fans are still making fun of him but he is growing and this winning goal should make him more motivated to perform even better.

All Arteta needs to do now is take it one game after the other and also try to rotate the players to avoid injury within the team because as we all know the number of competitions the English club play are too many so the risk of a player getting injured is very high, and these are factors that make a team that is at the top of the table lose their place at top when they are close to winning the title, Mikel arteta needs to plan ahead to avoid a repeat of what happened last season if he doesn't want to lose the trust of both the board and the fans.
Rotation of these players is quite important to maintain the fitness that occurs especially at this time for sure besides the EPL, Arsenal and Arteta's priority is to qualify from the Champions League group phase because even though they are quite comfortable at this time with a difference of 4 points but still there must be at least 1 more victory for them in order to qualify comfortably as first place in this group phase and this can also be a revenge event for them because the opponent is Lens.
But for the EPL they will also definitely do their best to stay at the top because after all they were in this situation last season and I think even though there are some differences about some clubs like Liverpool this season but Arsenal will definitely be able to stay at the top at least a few weeks.

Arsenal sitting at the top of the league at this time of the season doesn’t really mean a thing. Everybody thinks Manchester city are still going to win the EPL title. Honestly it looks like Manchester City are still the favourites to emerge as champions again after their 1-1 draw against Liverpool, but with the current performances of other top four teams, like Liverpool and Arsenal, it seems like Manchester city might not win it this year. Arsenal have beaten Manchester City this season, Chelsea held them to a 4-4 draw some weeks ago and now Liverpool played out a draw against them.

Arsenal's ability to got top of the English Premier League I think shows how much ready the Mikel Arteta team really wants to fight for the league title. The opinion that they ain't a strong team to challenge for the title I don't think is valid considering how consistent they've been since the start of the league season. Manchester City without doubt is the strongest team in the league and that's because of the quality of players in their set up but that doesn't mean that Arsenal aren't formidable enough to challenge them for the English top flight title.

I think another failure to defeat a fellow big hitter will give them all the confidence that Manchester  City could drop enough points for another team to take advantage. I somehow rate Liverpool more than Arsenal to challenge Manchester city better. Liverpool are arguably the team most likely to beat Manchester City to the title. After all, they have done what has become almost impossible by getting something from the Etihad. If Manchester city continue this pattern of failing to beat their closest rivals, they might lose out on the title this season.
Considering the kind of rivalry that Liverpool has posed to Manchester City for the past 6 years, it's obvious that they're the strongest among other English Premier League teams to fight the champions for the title this season but just like I said in my response to your the first paragraph, I think Arsenal will as well be a team to beat for the title this season.

I don't dispute the fact that you see Liverpool and Manchester city as the strongest clubs in England because when you watch the play pattern of this both clubs you will know that the two clubs almost play same pattern of football and as well they have experienced and tactical players. Arsenal will keeping for a better spot on EPL table this season because they messed up big time their golden opportunities of claiming the league title last season and they will leave to regret their relenting actions, the only way they can make amends is lifting the trophy this season with this outstanding squad.

Because Arsenal is in first place doesn’t mean they will be able to maintain it until the end of the season. Arsenal maintained first position from the beginning of the season until the season was about to end before they started misbehaving. Lots of people had confidence in Arsenal last season to win the league due to their Incredible performance, but towards the end of the season, they started losing points anyhow, they lost matches that they are not suppose to lose, then Manchester City took the first position from them.

Arsenal is already on the lead again, with one point ahead of Manchester City, which is in second place. Let’s see how long Arsenal will stay in the first position. I don’t have any belief in Arsenal winning the league this season. I can say it’s still kind of early to predict who will be winning the league, but I don’t think it will be Arsenal.

You are right and this even happened at the end of the last season when Manchester City won the Premier League title while Arsenal was in the first place in the league for weeks and people were thinking this team is going to the win the title.

Everyone seems to believe Liverpool have a better chance at upsetting Man City than Arsenal and to be honest I won't blame them. When did Arteta start coaching? But Jurgen has been doing that long before Arteta thought of retiring and the rivalry between Jurgen and Pep goes back to when both of them were coaches at Bayern and Dortmund and Arteta was a student if Pep. Yeah, there's the saying that the student can be better than the teacher but I don't think Arteta can do that.
I can equally say that Arsenal may not be able to stay at the no.1 position for long now because asides from Manchester City and Liverpool, we've got other tough contenders and I dunno if they've got all it takes to repeat that feat like they did last season.
Arsenal might not look like a serious contender but them coming close to winning the EPL title last season means that they have something different to show this time around. I feel they can push Manchester city again this year. The morale and the confidence is still there. I think Arteta now have them playing kind of different this season which is underlined by their statistics. Last season they were a free-flowing side who scored plenty but were not the toughest defensively. I think that has now changed with Arsenal now having the meanest defence in the league.
It looks like Arteta will be approaching the campaign differently from last season. They were a bit too open in the defense and scoring a lot of goals and it didn’t give them what they wanted at the end.
This season they’ve become more compact in the defense and they’re now controlling more in the games they’ve played. I think the approach is a bit solid and it can make them more solid overall.
