A disappointing result for Tottenham at home as they continue to suffer back-to-back defeats and have now started to drop points in addition to this Aston Villa win they have overtaken Spurs in the table at the moment.
Since several players have been injured they have started to falter and this being the first half of the season, it is still very difficult for Tottenham to remain consistent because in the absence of key players they start to lose their way while the coach with his makeshift players is unable to win well despite controlling the game all the time.
But obviously now Aston Villa are doing a great job at being behind now it's 1-2.
Tottenham are doing great, as they started the season for the first time. Their performance is now poor, which is not as I expected it to be while the season is moving. However, some of their key players are not around; they have injuries, and that is why I think Tottenham Spurs are now suffering, which I think can happen to any team when their key players are not around. Definitely, their performance will not be good. But what surprised me is that this is so disappointing to me, as they allowed Aston Villa to win them at home. I think they will do much better than what they did since they are at home, and the moral will be there even though some of their players are not around.
That's right, Tottenham has experienced 3 consecutive defeats at this time. It started with defeats against Chelsea, Wolves and today they lost to Aston Villa. Tottenham tried not to lose this match and they did it according to their coach's instructions, but in the end defeat could not always be avoided because the opposing team defended well. This is a bad result for Tottenham because they have lost their position in the top 4 of the standings, but make no mistake that Tottenham still have a chance to recover.
The next match will certainly be even more difficult because Tottenham will face Manchester City. Pep Guardiola and his team have also lost full points in the previous two matches, so both teams will fight to win maximum points even though on paper Manchester City is the favorite. This season Manchester City has had difficulty winning matches against the big four teams, so there is an opportunity for Tottenham to get points.
