Wait what's going here? Chelsea deserve that win against Brighton? No way brother, fine they won but can you compare what these Brighton players play in the league and even against Manchester United, you can't compare.
Brighton wasn't playing as if they wanted to win, I saw a losing Brighton against Chelsea and the Blues on the other hand are just poor in terms of performance. Chelsea don't really know where to place their problems at the moment and I was expecting Chelsea to score more than 2 goals against Brighton because like I said the Seagulls didn't play like we have seen them play in the league and if Chelsea use this same pattern to play Fulham I don't think they're going to get even a draw in that encounter.

The fact that Chelsea were able to narrowly win their EFL cup game yesterday against Brighton and Hove Albion shouldn't be a reason for anyone to think that they're surely gonna win against Fulham when they face their London neighbors on Monday night for their English Premier League game.
The game will be played at Craven Cottage which I think is an added advantage to the home side. Chelsea with all the quality of players in the team are definitely gonna be favourites to win the game but that wouldn't stop Fulham from putting up a great fight in that game and probably secure all three points.

Chelsea actually needed this win because they have been on the edge with the recent losses that they have inquired and this is just the little break that they actually needed. to say the truth I never actually expected them to win this game because Brighton isn't a team to mess with and they have been on a very good performance until yesterday when Chelsea totally dominated them and I think Chelsea did a good job as they even scored twice but one was declared offside.

Actually the wining percent of the match seem to be equal  considering there previous performance, Brighton has been doing very well this season and they will try everything possible to win the match against Aston Villa.

If they don't improve their current performance,i don't think they'll able to face Liverpool, City, or Arsenal maybe they could play draw against Manchester United but one thing im sure is that they would not finish in the top 4 it would take a miracle fot Pouchettino to make it to the top 4, they could manage to finish top 10 but that's if they would improve their current EPL performance.

 A win against fullham would be very beneficial to the team because it would not only boost their confidence level but also give a good impression to the board that their hope for success in the future, we all know that theirs this motivation that comes to winning games, the more they win the better chances they have to perform well in their next matches, Chelsea really needs to do everything possible to win against Fulham.

I think you should not be sure about Chelsea winning the game against Fulham because they are not in the form and their team obviously is under pressure because they spent too much money and they didn't have good results in the team.
Also, Fulham lost the last game they had against Chelsea but now there is not a good atmosphere in this team and there is even a chance for them to lose.

Chelsea deserved the win against Brighton, after having either lost or draw matches following that. I doubt they would like to loose even in the slightest bit in their upcoming game against Fulham, because even Pochettino knows that the next thing he might get will just be a sack letter. 
I wonder how they will perform when they get to play against Liverpool or Man city or Arsenal or even Man united.

I agree with you, An EFL Cup win without top 4 is a waste of performance and efforts; and it would mean the season didn't get desired results or target as the board would have mandated before the start of the season. Also Chelsea have gotten 2 back to back wins in the EFL, Which means they are lacking an edge in the Premier League.

Pochetino needs to make his team to find their feet in the premier league because their next 10 games are huge ties; they fumble half of those ties and Chelsea can be battling relegation by Christmas. Big performance needed

Its not really bad with Chelsea victory from Brighton Albion in EFL Cup have opportunity for Pochettino get one trophy in the end of season looking realistic with consistent performance in Premier League, I don't think any special performance or achievement success become the winner of EFL Cup than finish on top fourth standings place have Champion League spot position. Not really important with how far Chelsea lead in EFL Cup if got bad performance in Premier League he will get warning or potential sack early before end this season.
Chelsea remaining 13 points from Manchester City with 6 matches and how possibility first half season how many points left from top position standings. I doubt with Pochettino after victory in EFL Cup make their performance better on domestic league and continue with winning trend.

I’m still surprised Chelsea finished victorious against Brighton because I predicted an easy game for Brighton. Could it be that Chelsea are finally reviving and coming back to form? Could it also be that Brighton just had a bad day? In the end I just want to say a big congratulations to Chelsea for advancing to the next stage of the carabao cup.

I don’t see a posibility of Pochettino getting sacked after the next two games because I am convinced that the club is willing to exercise a little more patience with Pochettino knowing that restoring the team back to that high level take time and process and it doesn’t just happen overnight but the games they have to play between now until December will determine how much faith the club have in Pochettino to turn the situation around for better.

They've put a smile on the face of their fans and i hope they do so again in their next match against Fulham, the win against Brighton in the EFL should build the confidence level of the players and if they performed well like they did against Brighton believe they will win their next match in Fulham's home, though it would be so challenging because Fulham is a team that shouldn't be underestimated.

 Pouchettino has to start winning matches to gain the support of the fans again in if they win against fullham, i think their confidence level would be boosted to a point that we'll start seeing them performing well again, Todd Boehly has spent a lot of this team and he deserves success from the so I think they should try their best to impress him with a win in their next match.

Chelsea did performed well in that game which I was surprised aswell, they had good possession of the game although the game from the first to the second half of the game and they later wom which was more like a deserving victory for them as they did played well, although it wasn't expected of them to give out such a performance, one will think the best they could do would be a draw.

They also missed so many chances aswell not like they just won or didn't had a good play, it was quite impressive and I taught they would further score another goal. Brighton on the other had did well too the tried their best but I think they weren't putting so much into this game because they were preparing for their next premier league game , they aswell missed tons of chances in the second half of the game and saves were made aswell

I'm expecting Chelsea to pickup from this victory to makeup for all their bad performance this season by getting a victory in their next premier league game against fullham, if they could get at least four or five winning streak we could then say Chelsea is back on their feet again as the champions they were once known for.

It is just unfortunate that this harsh and unfavorable fixtures have to hit Chelsea when  they are not at their prime. It would have been a good run if Chelsea was in form. It is just a two side coin, this is because if Chelsea was inform, they would have used their good form to win upto 80% of this fixture. Now they are not inform, it is possible they lose/draw upto 80% of the matches.

Before you talk of Chelsea being harshed by the media, first talk about the Chelsea supporters. They are obviously no longer happy because winning a match in Chelsea seems to be seasonal. They don't know if to blame the coach or the players. But I channel my personal blame to the management who has not done enough but expect alot from the Chelsea coach and players.

Chelsea fan would be very excited on their win against Brighton that win would ease the pressure on Pochettino and boost the confidence of the squad as they prepare to take on Fulham in an away match on Monday, I watched many previous Chelsea matches and it's quite unfortunate that they are very unlucky in most of those matches partly due to poor finishing by their attackers and wasteful in front of goal, though I still commend the team because majority of their first team players are very young players with a promising future if well managed in few seasons to come that team would be very formidable and a team to beat.

I really think that Chelsea will have to perform better in the English Premier League. Otherwise the position of the coach is definitely going to be under a lot more pressure than it already is in. In the English Premier League,  they are still not in a very good position. And let’s remember that the win against Brighton was not  English Premier League match. And Premier League should be a big worry for them right now.

Chelsea will play against Fulham in the next match and right now even they are ahead of Chelsea on the points table.  I actually do not think it is going to be easy for Chelsea to win this match. Chelsea will actually have to work hard. I am also not going to be surprised if this ends up being a loss for Chelsea.

What count is the goal you had that give you winning because that's what gives aggregate of points to increase your place in the table. You can be good in the pitch but trust me, people don't give a damn about that, all they want to see the team do is to win but unfortunately, they have failed to push Chelsea name to that place, I'm really skeptical on when they plan on changing the form of Chelsea. Todd Boehly has calm down and I think the team need to push harder else they are at the brim of losing this manager with suspension very soon or worse a sack letter.

Team effort together makes a win, I have seen that with Chelsea but their only challenge has been a goal but I wonder how they were so motivated to score goal with Brighton of all team that is tough in the Premier League, Brighton is sitting in the third place right now in the Premier League ranking while Chelsea sit at 14, the margin is very high, it's high time they push the same energy they use in the EFL to Premier League to reduce the heart break dose they give their fans every week.

Starting next month, their first two matches is not going to be a hard time for Chelsea unless they want to be unfortunate for life, Burnley and Fulham shouldn't be a problem. Winning that alone is enough to process them with 6 points and if they try and draw Arsenal and then win Brentford is going to be a remarkable come back to continue their journey to the top but if they miss this opportunity, then it will take another efforts of new manager to upgrade Chelsea players.

I was surprised that Chelsea FC won Brighton yesterday, well it's been a long time that Chelsea FC won a game and the Media has been very harsh on them and come to think of it Brighton has been very solid this season and has been very amazing in their previous competition.

Well many clubs would not take the league cup very seriously for exam Manchester city lost to Newcastle united and I don't think Pep was very hurt about the match, I would love to see Chelsea win in the English premier league.

I was just surprised that Chelsea won the match. I had confidence in Brighton to win the match, but they disappointed me. Since Chelsea performance has been poor this season, they are always dominating most of their matches, but they are having problems with scoring goals. I was expecting the same thing to happen yesterday, but they were able to defeat Brighton with a goal difference, which is a plus for Chelsea. They surprised all their fans because everyone wasn't expecting a win from Chelsea. Let's see if there will be an improvement in their performance in their matches in the Premier League. They will be playing against Fulham in their next match. Let's see how they are going to perform.

We all know that there is a lot of worry and disappointment from the Chelsea camp because of the poor results they got at the start of this season. However, I think the impact of Pochettino's arrival will definitely be there and it can be seen in the way the team controls and dominates the game.

Nicolas Jackson is not a player who can always be relied on as a striker, but Pochettino seems to have no other options considering the player's injury. You could say, the victory was an entertaining victory for the Blues fans, as you said. However, it is not the EFL Cup that is their target, Chelsea must be able to finish in the top four of the Premier League competition. thus, they can take part in the Champions League next season. However, the victory in the EFL Cup over Brighton could be a trigger to raise the motivation and mentality of the entire team to play their matches in the Premier League.

This week, they will play a match against Fulham. Pochettino must further improve the quality of his players' play, so that they are able to provide victory after victory to increase their ranking in the standings.
Now Cheslea is in 14th position, Pochettino has a tough task to bring Chelsea up the rankings. Luckily, the competition still has a lot of games left. Pochettino must optimize his squad, while waiting for the injured players to fully recover.
