Chelsea had a great win against Brighton in today's EFL Cup match. This match in the EFL Cup was a great one for Chelsea. Chelsea have only won by one goal against Brighton. 
In the first half it was not clear which side could win but after 50 minutes in the second half Chelsea were much ahead of Brighton and that one goal in 50 minutes sealed the win for the team. 

It has to be a great match for Chelsea in the EFL Cup where Chelsea have regularly been the worst in the English Premier League. 
Chelsea's next opponent in the EFL Cup is Blackburn, where Chelsea have won against Brighton so it is expected that Chelsea will definitely be ahead in this match.

This is the fact, even Chelsea since the beginning of the season has been having good ball possession and lots of chances to score But thank God they where able to get a clean sheet and a win.

Yes, Pochettino hot seat as Chelsea manager cooled down a bit, after the victory over Brighton in the Carabao Cup competition yesterday. Nicolas Jackson scored the winning goal for the Blues, although they were able to win, Chelsea have not performed well. I think Pochettino squad won with luck, because Brighton has better statistics than Chelsea in terms of accuracy and ball control. Appreciation must still be given to Pochettino, because with this result the Blues managed to advance to the round of 16.

However, what is more important is their performance in the EPL, the victory over Brighton cannot be said to be a turning point in their performance. The next match against Fulham in the EPL will be a proving ground for Pochettino as to whether he can bring Chelsea a second win this season. Chelsea took advantage of their opportunities well despite creating 4 good chances throughout the match. Actually, just 1 goal was enough to make them win the match, but there were still many shortcomings.

In the EFL Cup, Manchester City had to admit defeat to Newcastle 1-0. This was a completely unexpected thing for me, but it doesn't seem like Manchester City are really pushing for this competition from the way Pep Guardiola has set up his line-up. Now the EFL Cup only has 16 teams left, where Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal can still be favorites. One of these 4 teams is the favorite to win the title, unless Newcastle is able to beat Manchester United.

Chelsea 🆚 Blackburn.
This is their next opponent in this competition. As long as they find it very difficult to score a goal then they can beat Blackburn.

Guardiola is clear, they have other important aims like Premier League and UEFA championship, therefore they were not trying their full team in strength. I do not mean that they understand Newcastle a weak one. Otherwise, this decision is best to prepare good players in the hand of experts. Absence of Haaland gave a gesture to this strategy. Newcastle
development is very important. That is prove of Manchester success. Guardiola doesn't understand Carabao Cup important. But it is necessary to appreciate them. That lose will divert City to make good image in League like you said.

1 victory against Brighton should not be used as a benchmark that he is safe with his position because in the end of course there must be other proof especially the victory in the Premier League that still cannot get.
Chelsea still have to continue to strive to improve their performance and Brighton's victory although it was very good but if they are confident in their performance and think Chelsea has changed it is clearly a mistake.
There are still some obstacles that Chelsea must face, especially for improving their performance in the Premier League this season.

There is still a lot of work to be done by Pochettino before he can be comfortable with his position as Chelsea coach.

It was just a match in the EFL Cup and of course, even though Chelsea managed to win in the match it does not guarantee that Chelsea can get good results in the Premier League too. So yes, let Chelsea get the victory in that match because of course, with the victory it is also maybe that it will make the morale of Chelsea players even better when playing in the Premier League. Because after all, at least improving Chelsea's position in the Premier League standings is more important, than win in the EFL Cup match. Because yes, if Chelsea do not manage to improve their position in the Premier League standings, then of course this will make Chelsea feared to fall into the relegation zone.

Looking at the kind of match fixtures that lie ahead for Chelsea to play, I wonder if they will ever survive these games ahead of them,
The current state of Chelsea is in a critical condition that needs a Messiah to save them, hence with the poor state of the club, and with Pochettino as head coach, if they don't get a significant amount of points from these games and coupled with the depression that will follow suit after losing these games, I think they will hardly escape relegation this season.

The won against brighton was able boosting the mentality of chelsea's players. Im still see that if majority of chelsea fans are still blaming the club for the bad performance during the first half but they have also different opinion for the second half.
I do like that current starting line up rather than put some useless players like gallagher into the line up. Chelsea just needs to make sure maatsen and palmer will have better chemistry.
These guys will be a threat for another club in premier league. So far so good although chelsea was winning with narrow score against brighton but that's good enough.

It's caused by it has been long time since the last goal of chelsea being made by jackson against luton. I hope that palmer will become a suitable partner for jackson. Chelsea is still having enough time to get more points.
The club will also meet fulham soon. it will be a real test for chelsea. I hope poch understands not to put the players off from their actual positions.

Chelsea's win yesterday was a needed win in order to keep the heads of Chelsea up above the water. If they had lost yesterday's match, their moral would have been very down and their confidence level reduced. In as much as we are expecting Pochettino to master the Chelsea system and start doing well, having consecutive losses would do more harm than good to both Chelsea as a club, the coach and the players.
With the performance of Chelsea in that match, it isn't obvious that Chelsea has escaped their epileptic performance for this season yet.

This will indeed be a very good spirit for Chelsea but of course they also cannot consider this victory against Brighton to be a big reference because even though they won narrowly, in terms of possession and opportunities Chelsea were actually not better than Brighton.
But even so I think it's very good because it doesn't matter that they lose in possession and opportunities but can maximize attacks rather than with the schemes they always do with full possession which in the end it becomes a failure like some of the matches they do in the EPL.

Against Fulham statistically they must be favored, it's just that seeing the position in the standings they lost to Fulham, especially in this match Fulham will also act as a home team that Chelsea must be wary of.

Pochettino said that victory against Brighton would be a turning point for them to continue this positive trend. However, the problem is that if you look at the match statistics, you can see that Brighton dominated with more than 60% of ball possession. I'm not discussing United because I think everyone agrees at the moment Chelsea are worse than United. In fact I can say that United will at least be able to qualify for the UEFA cup but I don't see Chelsea being able to be in the top 7 this season.

  Chelsea have secured another win in the ÈFL Cup after conceding a defeat against Aston Villa in their last Premier league match, they coach would be very impressed with their performance cause they did well against a very tough side in the EPL and everyone expected Chelsea to lose the match based on their poor form in the Epl but they suprisenly won Brighton who's been very tough this season.

 I hope this win would build their confidence to do better in the EPL on Monday against Fulham who are 11th in the table and 3 points ahead of chelsea, Chelsea got a very expensive squad and should be doing better against teams like Fulham but they're not a club to rely on when betting cause they got a poor record in the EPL so far and could draw or lose against Fulham who would be playing with a home advantage.

Chelsea managed to win narrowly against Brighton with the condition that almost all players from Brighton were reserve players and Brighton still controlled the match in this match
But whatever happened Chelsea still won and it was very good for them but when talking about Brighton I think they also implemented an elimination scheme in this case because they realized that if they had too many competitions then indirectly their players would also continue to be in portions so they had to choose which one was the best and indeed the EPL and Europa League would obviously be their first choice and let the EFL go.
Technically I also like the performance they did in this match even though they lost they still played quite well.

I thought this was just a lucky win for Chelsea because several times Brighton players actually had the chance to score but were thwarted by Robert Sanchez and after that in the second half Chelsea managed to score goal with pride.
Imagine that there 4 opportunities that I counted for Brighton to score goal and if all the opportunities can produce goal, I think Chelsea will lose badly against Brighton with a score of 4 which they failed to use well and I see Pochettino very proud of yesterday match even though it was luck that can be thwarted by the Chelsea goalkeeper.

Brighton's performance against chelsea was not good. I'd say brighton didn't try too hard to win the match . I saw a better performance from Brighton in the Premier League than this match. But the performance of Brighton players against Chelsea was quite slow. And that's why Chelsea narrowly won. Chelsea cannot win by a large margin. However, Fulham will do their best to win against Chelsea. This is Fulham's home match. Chelsea have no chance of winning unless they perform well. Especially if Chelsea's attacking performance is poor, they will be defeated. Chelsea's defense is somewhat solid, but their attacking players are very weak. Chelsea have scored only 5 goals in 6 Premier League matches.

Chelsea was starting the match so badly. The blues was not owning the first half and brighton was always getting opportunities to attack the blues. It's so amazing to see chelsea got its win after the club suffered three two losses and 1 draw.
The thing that makes me feel amazing if chelsea was scoring through open play. The club was rarely doing it. Im saying to myself like when I was the last time chelsea scoring the game. Palmer is performing so brilliantly as well as maatsen.
I don't even know why poch was benched those two important players instead of put them all into the starting line up. Palmer was able making good team work with jackson and maatsen.

Pch shall give them all time to play in the main squad. Get rid of sterling out from the club. Connor gallagher was also useless player. All of blues fans are feeling so happy with this result.
Chelsea actually had a decent game management after jackson was scoring the first goal for chelsea. Im disappointed to see how referee was annulling the second goal was it's clearly not off side.

Chelsea are just not stable now and it's bad that they've got only one win since the beginning of this season and coming from a club that spent over £1bn trying to bring in fresh players, I expected more from them. Another reason I feel they are unstable is the fact there's to me no old player that can help with experience, just as Real Madrid is. See, I understand what Todd Boehly is trying to do when he signed many young players into the team but selling off most of the experienced ones didn't help at all. Watch the way they play, you'd see there's no much coordination, I feel if there were more old hands, apart from Chilwell, Reece James, maybe those players would easily adapt. Right now what Pochettino needs is to shut out critics and focus on saving not just his team but his job as well. In yesterday's narrow win over Brighton in the Carabao, he was heard saying that the win had put them on a positive start to greatness. Quite a hasty assumption to me and their next game against Fulham will tell.
  I feel we should cut Guardiola some slack. I mean one's going to get tired of winning too much at some time and if you watched the game, you will see he didn't make use of all his first eleven and even though they put much effort into the game, you could tell that he didn't attach much value to the tournament as he would a Premier League game or say champions league.
