It's bad enough that he's going to miss the Premier League game against Leicester City. I'm pretty sure he already feels terrible about all the games he's missing, the injuries, and the pain he has to endure.

I think he should still be in the team. Every player goes through rough times; it's natural. He's a human being, not a robot. Before James became captain in 2023, he worked his way up the ladder, putting in a lot of energy and hard work.

Yes, the energy he's not bringing to the game right now is due to some minor injuries. However, he played a crucial role in winning the 2021 World Cup and various UEFA cups.

If nothing else, his past record of helping Chelsea and England should keep him in the team. We just hope he recovers faster than expected. I don't think he should be considered for a loan or transfer. He's a great player going through a rough time in his career.

I don't see how an injury prone player can help a team such as Chelsea in the first place and mind you, the injury he sustained I mean this very one was gotten while training and the last time he had an injury was on the field of play and very soon whenever he waves his hands he'll sustain an injury that's how bad it has gotten, the player is not as good as he used to be. That's why I said his retirement period is by the corner because he can't continue playing a game and get injured that will last for months, no club wants players like that. Let me clear you on something, Chelsea currently don't deal on past experience or past glory, if not Kepa would have been the number 1 and they would have kept him and not loan him, if past glory is what you feel should keep James in the team Sterling would still be playing for the team, so the time James had with Chelsea has expired that's the thing and you can see they don't invite in to play for the 3 Lions anymore because he has nothing to offer.

I think Flick also has same problem, because he cannot win matches if Yamal, Lewandowski or Raphina is absent. Does this mean that if De Bruyne is not back in form, City will continue their losing streak? Pep must act fast to be back the club in a good shape. City has extended Pep contract with a year.

Only a few matches even though they get a win can not be used as a reference that Manchester United is improving.
Usually a new manager gives new motivation to the players, it's like a honeymoon but slowly it will be seen about the manager's ability to manage his team, so Man United can't be said to have risen when Nistelrooy was there as a temporary manager.
Likewise with their new manager, it could be that Man United wins against Ipswich whose performance is worse than Man United.

I'm quite happy to see Liverpool appear very impressive with Arne Slot, against Southampton of course won't find good odds for Liverpool, their last few meetings ended with quite a lot of goals so betting on over might find good odds compared to money line.

Everyone should be able to realize that this decline occurred because of the player crisis and there is another opportunity in the future to fix it, this is not Pep's fault and he has worked very well, it should always be believed in him that in the future everything can be handled and Manchester City can get back on the right track.

I am beginning to think that he can not handle the underperforming players because it has shown clearly that without Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri and the like, he can't perform excellently. I respect Pep, but now I know there are individual differences between him and a few good managers; he is only capable of working with already-built players who are very good in the area they are playing but can not play with a trainee. Pep have to make things right in his last season as Manchester City coach.
