With 20 games remaining and 3 games to be out of action for Felix as a result of a dangerous tackle while this is a complete loss for Chelsea who has spent a lot of money on loan fees + Felix's wages are borne by Chelsea.
Todd Boehly has spent a lot of money around 300 million euros more if I'm not mistaken and still can't build Chelsea to a better stage, while Potter is still not able to apply the strategies and tactics he has implemented. This is truly a nightmare for Chelsea in the middle of the season.
Todd must be feel disappointed with all money being spent for nothing. Building the team can't be instant and that will always need long term plan. The problem is chelsea's owner wanna see the team get successful instantly without thinking about there must be a process to be passed before chelsea will able to become a strong team again. The result from the last 8 matches were so disappointed for the chelsea fans too. Potter ball was not even working for now. Chelsea may go even deeper than the current position.
It seems like that chelsea will not able to win against dortmund. it's caused by dortmund is far stronger compared with chelsea for the current season.
Indeed building a team is not an easy thing especially Todd as the new owner of Chelsea which was previously held by Abramovich but to be honest with 8 matches controlled by Potter it is really disappointing this is not something fans expected but this is indeed the current state of Chelsea are on a roll after being in Potter's hands so in conclusion Chelsea have to be patient waiting for them to get back on good track again and believe it will come back for sure
With the Champions League matches still unpredictable, but seeing the matches that continue to decline, there is a possibility that Chelsea will also lose to Dortmund.
I just heard that if Joao Felix was suspended for 3 matches due to this dangerous tackle, surely that would be very detrimental to the team. I was wondering whether to include Joao Felix in the starting line-up, which we know has just arrived at Chelsea, is the best decision or not? considering this seems very rushed to give playing minutes to players who should still need adaptation and I think it seems that Graham Potter is too pushy with the current conditions, but as the reality is now it feels very bitter for Chelsea.
My assumption is maybe because his time at Chelsea was short from now until the end of the season so Potter made the starting line-up for Felix something that he hoped could help attack on his front line, but in reality it didn't go according to plan maybe because of a tackle which was unintentional by Felix so he got an unexpected red card even with his being suspended for 3 games, but it has been their decision about the starting line-up so we know it happened.
