There is something Chelsea and Brighton are not telling the public. In my opinion, It is either Chelsea may have been looking for a low-budget manager or the decision to hire Potter may have been politically motivated. Why would they hire someone with no trophy record? Potter only won the Swedish Cup during his career. Chelsea is being dishonored by this move by replacing Potter with Tuchel, who has nine trophies to his name, that man does not deserve to be replaced, at least not immediately, unless there is something else going on. What shocks me the most is that Chelsea has extended his contract until 2030, that is delusional, to be honest.
Nowhere have I seen information that Chelsea are going to extend Potter's contract until 2030, I only know that he seems to have a chance before the start of next season, if the team starts next season as badly, then Potter will lose his place. Whether it is worth waiting for the next season to see what the result will be again, I do not know, because if the next season the team starts badly again, then it will not be possible to count on good results. I doubt that with current results, Potter will be extended the contract until 2030, even if he agrees to work for free.
The initial Chelsea contract with Graham Potter
I'm aware of is the 5 years deal that's public for everyone, you can read more about that your self. Late February, I came across an article that wrote about his contract extension to 2030, luckily for me, I bookmarked the page,
you can read more about it but I somehow doubt if Chelsea will be so foolish to make this kind of move, it could be false or perhaps the website is trying to attract traffic to his page, no club will increase the period of the contract if the person is not adding to the team and in the case of Graham potter, I can't say there is anything viable to speak of him since his arrival. Nevertheless, who knows may be he might start on a good foot comes next season.
