I'll give it to Manchester United and the way they approach the game, it was a bit different from how they go about business when one of the problems of UTD was in the club, talking about ETH. Another problem UTD is experiencing now is that attacking department, you can't have someone like Garnacho who feels he has to play full time even if he misses 5 good chances to still be on the pitch, he caused Man UTD the remaining 2pt to make it 3 free point, this guy was suppose to be the missing piece of the Red Devils (so I thought) but now he has lost that greatness in him and I have that feeling that Rashford needs to play more to come back to that wonderful form of his.
the reason why you don't see that garnacho is trying in the attack is because you're expecting too much from him. To be frank, the only person that played a wonderful attack that was a major threat to Chelsea defense is garnacho. No doubt, he missed quite an handful of chances but he still disturbed the defense and made great runs that sparked the game greatly.
The approach of both united and Chelsea is just purely superb and no one would say that Chelsea totally underplayed or that man united overplayed. Both teams went at themselves, forced Chelsea to commit a penalty and then the quick recovery that brought them back into game. There's a lot to take out from this game most expecially from the Manchester United angle who are the one that are struggling to get quite a good numbers of win. From all indication, this is not there season and a point from Chelsea is an improvement that will at least give them a moderate stat up the table.
With ten games already down and they are still buttom on the 13th spot, can they boost of at least a fifth place at the end of the season? That's looking unlikely because the teams that have already gone ahead of them are aiming for the top and don't look like those that will give out cheap point and retard from thier position.
If I'm to expect more from a player it should be Rashford, the Garnacho in question hasn't been like he used to whenever he comes from the bench back then, he should be compared to Jackson of Chelsea, both players offered nothing in that encounter. If Garnacho should have buried those chances and Man UTD was leading I see no reason why Casemiro would be shouting at him for not tracking back after carelessly losing the ball, this Garnacho guy has all it takes to lead that attack and I shouldn't talk about the man who only had one touch in the 18 yard box of Chelsea before he was removed, talking about Hojlund, a disappointing player but there is something in him (Garnacho) that's holding him back. Garnacho is a big threat but when there's nothing to show for then defenders won't be afraid of your presence, that's what I saw in Garnacho.
To me both teams played according to how their strength was, non dominated the game and at some point I got tired of seeing same mistakes repeating like I'm watching two teams that have no aim in the game, just running around kicking the ball to each other and expecting a miracle to happen.
The league has gotten to the point that any dropped point is hard to recover and which ever team that's ahead of you won't want to drop for you to go ahead of them, so that's the same thing with Manchester United, they need to get hold of every point that comes their way and they might finish in the top 6 before the end of the campaign.
