I can't say same for Southampton because if they were brilliant they would have gotten a point in that encounter by playing a draw and it would be something they would be proud of because is never easy playing against Manchester City and get a point knowing fully well that they are the weaker side. Manchester City are some how tired from their outing in the champions league and from how I see it, even if Manchester City are not as good as they used to be I feel fatigue has gotten the best of them, with the busy season for the bigger boys I expected clubs that are only playing the EPL to come out with their best whenever they're playing against teams that are fully engaged with either the Champions league, Europa league or the Conference league, these clubs are not machines so they'll definitely break down, that's why I expected Southampton to get at least a draw instead they lost the whole thing.

Man City entered the match against Southampton in unfavorable circumstances without many important pillars. My hope that Manchester City drop some points was dashed. I was expecting that Southampton would have luckily levelled up but City showed class. I am more fascinated by Haaland's strength and doggedness. The defender was pulling him down but he was strong and went for the goal instead of falling and calling for a penalty. Southampton did all they could to handle the City attack but couldn't do much to stop them from penetrating and creating chances.

City are temporarily at the top of the league pending the outcome of today's star match between Arsenal and Liverpool. I also think the match will end in a draw because the last two games in the Premiership between both sides ended in a draw. A draw will favour Manchester City, but a loss for Liverpool will also be better for them.

In the end Everton made a Comeback to hold Fulham to a draw in this match but this is not a bad result at least both teams can share 1 point and that can add to their points collection, however Everton needs points to save themselves from the relegation zone.

However, after the match took place, it was unexpected that Southampton's defense was so strong, and even though they conceded in the early minutes of the match, they were able to match Man City's game, they were able to thwart attacks launched by Man City including thwarting 12 corner kicks obtained by Man City.

I can smile a little when the game ends with under 2 goals. I really expect the match is going to over 3 goals when look how easy manchester city create goals on minutes 5'. But, I still don't know what happen?, why the city attacker is look hard to just add more 1 or 2 goals?. So when i think it again and rewind the match, I think haaland is just got lucky to create only 1 goal for manchester city, the ball look bounce, then fell and touch haalnad foot. So with this condition, I really expect if Southampton defense is enough effective to hold offensive style the city attacker. The Southampton squad has already taken to how repel the repeated attacks.

I said it should be more than 3.5 but what happened was only a narrow 1-0 win for Man City even though if you compare it now Southampton has conceded 18 goals before but Man City really did not increase their lead even though their defense is quite bad and we know City's attack development is very dangerous but what happened today was only a narrow win that they got from Southampton.

In this match I lost the bet and I doubted Southampton's defense but what happened they were quite good at maintaining their defense after conceding many goals and showed their tenacity not to happen that was very good.
