While focusing on the Champions League they shouldn't care about the Premier League much less than that. There is no guarantee that they will win the Champions League title in the end.

Brentford takes three points from Liverpool! what a day for Brentford team and fans. Liverpool played their 17th match of EPL today and are still at sixth position, Premier League run is surely getting tough for them.

They take the position of today's game but failed to score easy chances while their opponent converts on half chance and also scored an offside goal. Liverpool's defense and midfield are so vulnerable. Also, I don't see anyone playing well besides Salah.

My amazement at Liverpool losing to Bretford was overwhelming. I thought Liverpool was starting to regain their winning ways, or at least aim for the top position on the Premier League table(it currently seems to be unachievable). As a result of their defeat to Bretford, they should give up on making the top four and focus instead on competing in the Europa League (Liverpool and Chelsea teams).
Chelsea and Liverpool should forget about qualifying for the Champions league next season

Maybe it's too early to throw away Liverpool from the Champions League, but I can tell that they will not win the Premier League Title this year. But I would love to see Liverpool playing Europa League  Grin

I was saddened by Liverpool's loss among all the clubs. The fact that Brentford defeated Liverpool 3—despite Liverpool having a greater advantage in terms of ball possession (73% to Brentford's 16 goal attempts), I still find it hard to believe. As a result, the Premier League's games are getting more unpredictable and exciting. love the way the games are going.

It's still till date beats my imagination when football lovers talk about being overwhelmed or surprised about the losing of a big team to a less one, I only want to ask, is it that the said lesser teams to the bigger teams just like in the case of Brentford vs Liverpool today. Is it that these underdogs teams ain't also in the title race too or you think they are on the league table to fill in space. NO!
The beauty of football seem to be enjoyed when results as these takes place at one point to another else the games would just be boring and easier to predict on outcome. Am sure Liverpool fans never saw this coming, beat thing is to go keep your house in order as I don't see Liverpool surviving in the top four of the table at the end of this season should they continue in this form.
I just discovered Newcastle are on the second position Grin.... Nice one!

How could they be focusing on the Champions league when they have Real Madrid to face.
Liverpool should rather not focuse on anything other than being able to be in the top 4 of the English Premier League. What is happening is not a joke.
When big clubs beat Liverpool we will understand that it is normal and  not when clubs like Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Bournemouth etc are beating them
there is no point in having more than 65% possession of the ball but every attack that occurs is ineffective, and i see liverpool at the moment as a funny team, Brentford must have really celebrated their 3-1 win over Liverpool, with this result Brentford is only 2 points away from Liverpool and Brentford's chances of shifting Liverpool are huge.

There is no doubt that Liverpool possessed alot of the possession but Salah was not in his best mood to score the goals. I don't know  what to say about Nunez since his arrival. The whole situation is just tiring.
Liverpool should pray that Luiz Diaz should be fit with the addition of Gakpo. That is where I am seeing some positive change in the team. Otherwise nothing will come out of it.

Liverpool are still a big disappointment and they have big weaknesses in the midfield. This can't go on like this if they want to climb the positions in the standings. They need to make some transfer moves to strengthen the lineup. Klopp really seems desperate about Liverpool's look now. They could have lost the Leicester game as well you know.

Liverpool again wasted the opportunity to be able to continue to compete at the top of the standings. Liverpool's hopes of pushing into the top five Premier League standings are increasingly difficult. Yes, Klopp must be aware of Liverpool's lack of performance. He must immediately move in the transfer market to look for players in defender and midfield positions, because those positions are starting to look very fragile. The most obvious position in my opinion is midfield. Since the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum, Liverpool have so far not been able to find a suitable replacement. The lack of quality midfielder stock makes the Reds' midfield unstable.

But what is clear, the defeat suffered by Klopp's men is certainly very disappointing. Previously I really hoped that Liverpool could reap full points to be able to see the competition for the top four getting more competitive, but in fact the Reds' game was still very messy and still under top performance. With this result, of course, many people are very disappointed, especially the fans of The Kop themselves.

Liverpool didn't expect all this defeats this season,  if they had known I don't think they would allow Mane to go. Liverpool thought salah can do the job alone .it is very disappointing to see Liverpool at this point,  the same Liverpool that was close in winning the premier league in last season.

In abramovich era ... graham potter should have finish!

Not sure where is the board heading with its ambitious vision to have graham potter back in a very long term project , he is clearly incapable to handle such huge clubs with great demand to achieve big things and winning in every single match , manchester city next this thursday and i'm ready to see chelsea get humiliated.
I think that there was not different between the era for abramovich compared with todd. Todd itself wanna try to sack potter if potter will not make chelsea will be able to go up again. I think that potter has been wasting so many chance. Chelsea itself has not yet performed so well.
It's always going up and down no matter how easy or difficult the opponent that will be faced by the team. it doesn't make sense to see the latest result from chelsea against nottingham. It seems like that chelsea has been degrading a lot since it was under the new owner.
I can only hope that there will be so many adjustments to happen with the club. It's a big bet by potter whether he will stay or leave from chelsea very soon.
No , the report says that graham potter has met the board few days ago and told that his long term contract is secure and will do giving more time to settle in the role , that's pretty clear that there is no planning to sack him in the near future just like chelsea used to do when the downturn has heaped pressure on managers.

Chelsea could be the next arsenal who have to go through a couple miserable seasons during the transition.

They actually played quite well but their problem recurred when they struggled to keep up with quick counter-attacks that were carried out even though this problem had existed since the start of last season.
The players especially for the 2 fullbacks they are always behind and not in a position when needed which in the end their defense becomes weak.
This is a real disappointment when they should be able to capitalize on this.

... now the score has changed to 3-1. so I think Liverpool are further and further behind.Liverpool are really bad in the defensive area.
Liverpool started the second half looking like they were going to get an equaliser. The hope of the Liverpool supporters increased more even after the one goal that Chamberlain scored after Nunez goal was cancelled. Brentford have been able to hold on well to exploit the Liverpool player's who looked to have forgotten that they needed to defend too. It is over for Liverpool, their hopes of going up on the table today has been shattered, but for Brentford, it is another three points to take them closer to the top six on the table.

I wouldn't be so sure they would make the top 6. They have the most games played so far, behind them by one point are Fulham who have 17 games and Chelsea who have 16 and it's likely that Brentford will lose their 7th place in the very near future. Leicester play against Fulham tomorrow and we will be able to see the result.

It's true that it's difficult to predict and Brentford was able to win again with a big team, but indeed Liverpool's attack was much better in the second half but still, that didn't mean they had a good chance even though they tried several times but damn it was Brentford's strong defense and that's a defense which is great.

On the other hand, Liverpool was too focused on building attacks but forgot that the defense was not tightened and as a result, it was the counterattack from Brentford that scored another goal, while Liverpool's defense was a little overwhelmed to face one person.

Another nightmare for Liverpool to chase points far above it.
That's how competitions should be and that's why the Premier League has always been ahead of other domestic leagues. I think a lot of people were upset about Liverpool's loss to Brentford, before they were annoyed because Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City also dropped points. I don't know what the internal problems of these teams are, but on the pitch they seem to be doing their best.

Utilization of opportunities that are not measurable, strong opponent defense, and poor finishing have caused several top teams to lose points. Darwin has been one of the most talked about players since his arrival at Liverpool but he has proved nothing other than to put himself in the intimidation of the fans.

Brentford 3 - 1 Liverpool

Liverpool followed in the footsteps of other big teams who couldn't win in the 2nd match after the break, this time they were even worse because they had to lose quite embarrassingly.
This is really a problem and Klopp cannot take this lightly because with their current condition, of course Klopp's future career as a coach is taken into account, especially when the highest level at Liverpool is the Champions League zone position so that Klopp stays at Anfield.

From the stat of the game Brentford got the highest short on target while Liverpool got the highest in off target shorts. Liverpool defense was good but their midfielders fucked them up. When someone told me that Brentford is a very strong team, I wouldn't believed but for now I have confirmed their strength. Liverpool really end up with 3-1. This is a real embarrassment to the coach of the team. I was strongly believing Liverpool to win the match even seen the first goal scored by Brentford in the first half of the game.
Football is taking another dimension of prediction. We have to restrategizes our predictions now. Because if you use popular team to predict your bet then prepare to dance to happenings.

Brantford played a great match. Admittedly, I was betting on a Liverpool win. Liverpool played worse than their opponents today and gave them a real party. Brentford are 2 points behind Klopp's team now. By the way, Liverpool lost to Brentford for the last time in 1938. It's a very long streak for Liverpool. I think a lot of people bet on Liverpool winning based on that statistic. But their bet lost.

Last season they were even able to finish in second place with 92 points, I also feel sad about their current condition. All of this happened after they bought Darwin Nunez, I think he's one of the few people to blame. I hope that Klopp will make a new regular line-up in the next game for experimental purposes. If they can improve their condition starting the next match, I still believe that they can still be in the top 3 of the EPL standings.
VAR annulled 2 goals in the Brentford vs Liverpool match. Brentford managed to perform optimally with their 3 winning goals over Liverpool and they really did their job well to make their loyal supporters proud. 3 valuable points taken from the hands of the favorite, it is definitely an extraordinary achievement for Thomas Frank's troops.

I'm starting to wonder where Salah is and where is Nunez, who is basically expected to be able to mess up the Brentford defense in this match. They didn't score even though they had contributions during the match. Fans' expectations of Nunez turned out to be wrong, he again failed to bet on his value.

Brentford team is really making great matches, after beating man city now the turn come to Liverpool, after the first Liverpool goal i expected that they will turn the table and at least get 1 point but Brentford managed the match perfectly and was able to score the third goal in the last 10 minutes, Liverpool team is really not in their best days
True, Brentford is definitely creating a name for themselves, I was surprised by the manner in which the goals were tallied, Liverpool's performance since the season began still has me asking what the heck is happening with them, and being optimistic about Arsenal winning Newcastle I don't want Arsenal to unwind because I want them to win the league because I've seen how hard they've worked and how dedicated they are, which proves that they deserve it.

Brentford 3 - 1 Liverpool

 Cry

well, this is a painful result for us Liverpool fans, it even looked like we were in a circus clowning around to entertain people, in the 19th minute Konaté scored an own goal, it was the beginning of the humiliations, in the 42nd minute Yoane Wissa scored the second goal for brentford, for me it was already clear that we would lose the game but the question was how many more goals would we concede, and it didn't take long for liverpool to score, but we still needed to score more goals to tie the game, unfortunately we conceded the third goal

which was what I feared the most, the problem of liverpool's weak defense is very evident and I don't know what the liverpool coach will do to resolve this issue, but he needs to resolve this as urgently as possible, as for the attack issue and another problem that liverpool have had but this is a problem caused by having too many injured players

for me this season liverpool no longer has a chance to win the premier league, they can only focus on getting the 4th position which will also be a difficult task, but next season they may be stronger and with that we can win the premiership league.

A lousy performance from Liverpool. Losses at Brentford. What else can they use as an argument for the poor performance? Perhaps Klopp should take credit for himself and accept that the magic between him and Liverpool has worn off. He has also been a trainer there for a long time, something like 7 years or something? Exactly also the number of years he was a coach at Dortmund and then submitted his resignation. Time for fresh forces at Liverpool, a new coach and perhaps a slightly different composition on the field. They did get Gakpo, a promising talent but has never shown himself at the highest level. Perhaps they should go for security and stability rather than talent. Money won't be a problem for this team, will it?

Konate made a huge mistake in the 83rd minute. I think he finished the game early for Liverpool... Alarm bells are starting to ring for Klopp. He has to press the transfer button harder and transfer some quality midfielders to the team along with Bellingham. Otherwise, he will begin to receive more criticism. The only way to prevent this may be to make a few accurate transfers... Liverpool are not looking good as a team, but what about Nunez? Isn't he so unlucky? In the 7th minute of the match, he entered a clear goal position, if he had turned that position into a goal, everything could have been different tonight.
