Pep was only joking about that, and he never had the intention to play John Stone as a striker. But it could also happen. Stone was often becoming a supersub. He scored 3 goals from 8 games, which are very very good stats as a CB.

Hopefully, City will get an easy opponent in EFL cup, and we may see Pep play Stones as a striker instead of CB. It seems Pep will rest Haaland in an unimportant game.

I think a draw is the only outcome in this game but come to think of it, Arsenal need this game more than Liverpool because they haven't been getting the job done and things have been going pretty bad for Arsenal with the red cards on some of the players and Saliba as well, that is another factor to consider if they can do without him since they don't have Saka and Odegaard especially Saka who have been on the mix for the Gunners with his assist and scoring too, now they don't have the defender who have been absolutely brilliant. Liverpool is not going to be as aggressive as they were in their game against Crystal Palace but the Chelsea game they weren't too strong for me and Arsenal will also play a dull game like the Red tomorrow, just have that feeling.

Well, this is interesting. I'm into Guardiola's man-eyeing and tactics. Guardiola, who was Pique's mentor when he coached Barca and helped the centre-back become one of the world's top defenders. And I guess Guardiola sees Stones as having similar goalscoring ability. With three goals already, Stones is on the verge of surpassing his personal best in a season. Every time he was pushed up, I could see he did a great job, the way he got the ball and handled, it was fantastic. And remember he scored in the eighth minute of stoppage time to give Man City a 2-2 draw against Arsenal. Let's see what happens to Stones when he's in the striker position.
