Leaving the field before the game ends tells a lot of story about Ronaldo to be fair. I agree with most people that he is still a good player, or at least good enough to be considered playing in United. yeah if he was in another club, like lets say City, or PSG, then it is obvious that he wouldn't be considered for striker position because there are better players there. But who do United have that could be considered better? I would say him leaving the field is saying it clearly "either use me, or let me go" and thats it, if they could let him go, this guy could still find a good place for himself. This is the guy with 800+ goals in his career, you can't just bench him, its not acceptable.
Is it the same Ronaldo we are talking about here, the Ronaldo that has changed football for a time we are yet to know when?
I refuse to see Roanldo as a player without quality enough to earn a striker position in the PSG or Manchester City team. Ronaldo is full quality and would be even better with a good team as the above. Manchester United isn't that team and it is the team that has made Ronaldo look bad today.
Lets not be bias about the situation, I agree that no player is bigger than the club and I believe that message is now clear to everyone including Ronaldo knows that by now but I also think the club is pushing it too far. Ronaldo is a player who loves to play at the beginning of the season we were told he was sitting on the bench as a punishment for not meeting up with the preseason games but until now he's still struggling to get games which is not fair.
In truth, lessons needed to be taught to avoid other players following suit. Absence from pre season trainings and friendlies got him on the bench, while on the bench, Ten Hag got the results he wanted and it feels better that way for him. The players are more motivated and plays all defence and attack when need be. No one feels too big to chase the ball. It's the most they need at Manchester United.
