I think Guardiola has realized that so he also replaces Haaland quite often with another striker in the second half especially when the team is in an advantageous position.

So now if Haaland is injured then its bad effect will be seen in Manchester United's performance. But Guardiola is an experienced coach. He knows very well how to deal with adverse situations. I think Guardiola definitely has an alternative match strategy in place. If Haaland is not in the squad then we will see Manchester City play a new match strategy.
