Every game that is played has a scheme that must be implemented and when they face Liverpool they carry out a defensive scheme and continue like that, it doesn't mean they are not confident but they will play openly it will also be difficult because Liverpool's attack quality is clearly better and in fact this scheme going well with a quick counter-attack this is clearly a deadly attack and the proof is that they can score 2 goals there.

Man United's victory against Liverpool was an unexpected gift for them. Many people doubted Man United's performance and many judged that Liverpool would win the match easily but Man United presents a surprise. Even though Man United lost in possession, they were much better at finishing touch. This win means a lot to Man United because it can build confidence and it can be good motivation in the face of the next matches. Man United will play against Southampton, and if Ten Hag still uses the same formation and strategy as they did against Liverpool, I think Man United will get full points again.

Seeing the performance of the game getting better I'm sure Manchester United will be able to secure 3 points against Southampton at St Mary Stadium. But since the beginning of this season we have not seen the figure of the Star Manchester United Cr7 showing his slick performance in the first 3 matches even though in the previous season he was the top scorer at Manchester United and was a very influential player for Manchester United. Against southampton Cr7 seems to be trying hard to give his best contribution by scoring goals.

Southampton is not really bigger team than Liverpool and fact should be easy for Manchester United to win for next match, but still problem with inconsistent performance usually faced by United. Still depending who will be settle as regular position for next match when Manchester United against with Southampton, I think keep make Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire on the bench still give opportunity for winning than have change position last match success defeating Liverpool. To be frank, they play like what every other team ought to have played, despite when Liverpool was giving them hell attacks, they slip through. If they could survive such heat from one of the best in the English league, they can survive the rest of the minor teams on the table.
If what Erik said is true and his strategy actually worked after the match against Liverpool, I don't mind him benching Ronaldo for more matches and then use him for smaller matches to gain more points, this will quickly boost their position on the table without conceding any defeats.

I don’t think Harry Maguire is leaving Manchester United to join Chelsea. He has been tagged untouchable by the management when Ten Hag came in. Remember he was also linked to Barcelona earlier in the summer transfer window, but the management didn’t allow that deal go through. I think Chelsea have a more reliable alternative in Adam Webster. Webster is a physical presence at 6ft 3in tall but is also adept at carrying the ball out from the back and breaking the lines. So incase Fofana's deal doesn’t go through, I see Chelsea going for Adam Webster instead of Maguire.
