there's nothing like an underdog again in football, almost all the teams have stepped up thier games and are all aiming for a good fight with whatever opponents there are fixed against and if you underate any of them, you're risking getting a tough result from such games. It's going to be part of what soke clubs will face when they eventually starts resting some players because of the multiple leagues that are up and running and they wouldn't want to get into fatigue. Smaller teams will take advantage of that opportunity and might punish them real good. Manchester United with her inconsistent performance should be playing like an underdog knowing that any team that steps up her game against them have an higher chance of winning the game. Thier last win is a booster for them but that's not a good enough encouragement for me to know that they've gotten back to thier winning ways even though the likes of rashford really stepped up in that game. Even though they are the better side to win against Barnsley in this EFL cup, they have to woro on winning it convincing it will help prepare thier mind against thier next two tough games in the EPL.

let's not be too early to expect that manchester united can make it to the top four because it doesn't look realistic with what we're seeing now. The top four spot is going to be for arsenal, man city, Liverpool and another team. Do you think man united will be that other team?

This is true Chelsea is still way behind Manchester City in defense and the midfield is still in similar state while the attack is okay only lacking a proper 9, Jackson is still very much unreliable.

This is the main reason I don't think Chelsea will be able to get a win this season against Manchester City, maybe a draw would be possible except Chelsea put on an excellent performance with the likes of Recce James and Latvia in the game, I doubt Chelsea would have a win against Manchester City.

Though against other teams like Liverpool and Manchester United, Chelsea has a better chance while Arsenal would also a difficult one to get a win.

I don't see underdogs in the Premier League Competition no more, they're always good and ready to fight. The win Manchester United had against Southampton is a step forward. They've recently had two steps backwards with that double lose from Liverpool and Brighton. It's all fine and dandy if you don't want to believe that they can make it to the top four clubs at the end of the season. Everyone is entitled to his own opinions and that's fine and normal. They'll be facing Barnsley tonight at Old Trafford, this could be another game for them to build momentum gradually.
I remember how he ( Erik Ten Hag did in his first season ) but no more excuses in his third season in charge, Champions League qualification is a must.

It’s too early to judge his performance at the club, the fans and management will probably give him till the end of the season and see where he takes them.

This victory is honestly not a big surprise because basically Southampton is not a tough club in the Premier League and it should be for Manchester United to beat them and steal those 3 important points because if Manchester United loses it will be very painful for them and Manchester United will disappoint their fans even more.
I'm tired of hoping for Manchester United every time they are praised after getting a good result they will disappoint in the next match so honestly Man United's performance is still doubtful and betting on this club will make us a little frustrated.

Chelsea will not able to beat Manchester City, their last won were in 2021, it has been 3 years!

2021 is when Tuchel still become a coach and full of senior players, while now most of them are young players and their quality is very bad compared to Manchester City. Regardless they will play in Stamford Bridge or away, it doesn't change the results.

Chelsea currently don't have a great squad, but at least there are few good players they have, but it's not enough.

Manchester City will enchanced performance and stats, it comes with whole of hard work and consistent brilliant performance. Manchester City are enlisted to become favorable to win the title race in the English Premier League. It’s tough but Pep Guardiola is in charge, he has his own style to dictate the progress of the club.

Manchester United cannot be happy with being able to beat Southampton even though with a fairly satisfactory score, It is true what you said they still have to be able to work hard to compete better with other big teams. Their previous victory was not enough to bring them to a profitable point, because they are still in a poor ranking so they have to be able to be better to get a profitable ranking but I don't think it's easy.
Apart from that, Man United fans certainly hope that their proud team can return to its glory again, but indeed their Manager is in the spotlight because he has been labeled as failing to bring Man United better or back to its glory days. I myself think Man United will find it difficult to return to its glory days.
