Manchester City are aiming the title in the Premier League as much as Liverpool now. They proved it again in this derby game against Manchester United in Etihad as they were the victor by 4-1. Liverpool can still follow them right behind until their game against each other which is the most critical game for the title. It can even be a decider game for one of these teams. And it is in Etihad too which is a good advantage for Manchester City. But if Liverpool somehow manage to leave them behind in the standings and reach the title, it is going to be a legendary run in my opinion. Because they have reached this point after being far away from the leader.
They should be focusing on improving their defensive line this summer also.
The fact that Maguire is still playing at the back row means they are not improving at all lol. Did you watch the match though, Maguire was literally nutmegged and that caused another goal. There are alot of room for improvement on the back line and to start that, the team needs to bench maguire or else he will be making the same silly mistake every single week

He came with the 4-2-2 approach which was a pressing kind of football. When Klopp came to Liverpool many players became injured because they had to adjust to klopp style. Klopp plays a high meter football. There’s no time to rest it demands a lot of energy and the United players do not want to be drilled.
Yep, Rangnick's strategy is actually lagging behind in my opinion because the other coaches are now more modern in nature but Rangnick is still prioritizing the tactics that were used before and this actually makes their game more restrained.Putting player problems aside for now because it is seen from anywhere that initial tactics are important.
For example, when a temporary change was made by Carick who mixed up with more advanced tactics, they could run it well and this could not be done by Rangnick who put forward the old strategy.

Although, we shouldn't underrate Everton in this game, their performance might be unstable, but I bet they needs more points to avoid getting into the relegation zone. And will probably try their best in resisting Tottenham. I think there is almost zero chance of United qualifying for the Champions League this year. Arsenal have already leapfrogged them into fourth place, and have three games in hand.
In fact it looks reasonably likely that Arsenal could even overtake Chelsea to finish third
United should be looking at teams below them, not teams above them. West Ham are only two points behind. Spurs are five points behind, but have three games in hand. It's by no means certain that United will even finish in the top six.

I think it will be a painful fact for Rangnick at Manchester United.
