I'm so glad to see that Manchester United won their game missing last night. Brighton were a really tough competitor for them but they still had the game under control and won by 2-0. I was really happy for Ronaldo too as he finally ended his streak of not scoring in the Premier League. And the last goal came by a counter-attack and B. Fernandes' fake before the goal was worth watching. They sealed the deal by that goal and they have taken the fourth place back now. But they will need to continue to win because there are still teams below them which are waiting for playing a few games missing.
For MU's performance, it looks like they really need a flood of criticism before they can finally win the game because if they are not criticized their performance seems to have decreased quite a lot lol.
Well of course this is a good thing because indeed they have been very less than optimal in the last few games and with this win at least they started a little safer than before.
now it's just a matter of waiting for arsenal's breakthrough whether they can take advantage of their remaining 3 games or not

Why would you include Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Manchester United in the top four race, Tottenham Hotspur are far away to be ready among the top four teams,a team that don't have a world class central midfield or defensive midfield no good right back and left back, Davison Sanchez and Eric Dier are prone to mistake at centre back and still they are among the first eleven.
That's right, it's impossible to think Tottenham will finish in the top 4...

besides Tottenham, there is also arsenal who has just played 22 matches (while MU has played 25 matches), I even feel more like arsenal has a big enough chance to shift MU and enter the top 4.

Doing that task is not an easy thing for Rangnick, the EPL top 4 standings are tight enough if Rangnick wants to achieve that dream, he can fix that bad strategy.

Yes, with the current condition, MU looks very difficult to finish on 4th position. In other side, Tottenham and Wolves can be clubs that take over the position. Tottenham's performance was not so good, even though they got a coach who was having full title. However, returning to the condition of the Red Devils who slumped only 3 points away from Tottenham and 2 points from Wolves, really made MU in a position that was not ideal.

Well good results today for MU with 3 points vs Brighton

indeed it would be too far if Tottenham were in the top 4, but there are Arsenal and West Ham who I think are ready to compete to get into Manchester United.
the points are still slightly different, and there are still many possibilities for Man United to be replaced or even leave their competitors. Chelsea may be overtaken by Man United. they are getting closer.
Ronaldo was very enthusiastic about bringing Manchester United to become champions. Ronaldo has been raised by this English giant club for so long. make a target to bring Manchester United champion this season. but on the other hand have to fight chelsea which is also the strongest club that is not easy to beat and other clubs..?

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
I think it's simply because Tottenham have the advantage over United because they have games in hand. Plus, if we talk about the problems of the teams, then at United they are huge and very old - even the replacement of the coach could not solve them. If you think logically, then Tottenham in comparison with United looks better. However, I am very happy with yesterday's victory and of course I will believe that United will be able to take 4th place.
Currently winning there is no difference both teams have problems with their teams, but I will see until this season is over.
If Rangnick brought Man United to the top 4 of the EPL then I would say there is a change in the coach, on the other hand if Spurs are in the 4/5 table it is also good Conte also brings changes but their current path is unstable sometimes losing to low teams made them fall in the standings again, so changing the coach still hasn't had a good impact.

That doesn't apply to Antonio Conte's full title in the EPL, the proof is that Tottenham is still losing in a row so far while next week with Mancity of course this is not an easy opponent, I know Spurs still have a few games left but it will also be difficult to compete in the top 4 of the EPL, but I see West Ham can prove it's a tough competition for Manchester United.
But with a full win during the game against Brighton, it could last that temporarily for Man United, but it won't last long that's my opinion.

8th place in the EPL is not a good position if they are hoping to get into CL.  The difference in points and the performance conditions of their competitors in the top position is also not an easy thing for them to solve because after all their conditions will also pursue the same thing.  Tottenham have a very low chance even difficult to catch him.  Better just focus on the next season and let this time be their practice to change.  Conte will not let this continue for long.

I think this season Tottenham has done quite badly by their standards and now they don't have much of a chance to get back into the top 4 anymore because the points difference is quite big. I think they are done for this season too and they need to focus on the next season and try to start better and continue performing consistently.

United was lucky to have won yesterday. Brighton was a far better team before the red card and that De Gea's save at the end of the 1st half was truly world class.

At the end when Brighton was left with 10 men individual quality came through - but United will have to play a lot better than this if they want to keep the top 4 position they climbed into with yesterday's win.

I watched this match till the first half. Manchester United had a very annoying performance. Brighton had some good attacks in the first half. Manchester United would not have been able to win without an experienced talented goalkeeper like De Gea. De Gea saved a lot in this match. But I am happy because after a long time we have seen goals from Ronaldo. He played well. If he returns to form, maybe Manchester United will do better in the upcoming matches.
We will just say luck shinned on Manchester united against brighton the performance wasn't enough for the victory but since the goal is all that matters in each match Manchester has been able to secure a full 3 points, De Gea actually saved the day for united. I won't say Ronaldo performance was bad but united is a big team so the should live up to the task
Ronaldo had the first goal but after that he didn't show any improvement in wanting to keep the lead even when Brighton went down to 10 men getting the red card 3 minutes after that Manchester united's goal.
He had plenty of opportunities to capitalize on it but just couldn't do it with several passes to Bruno so he could put it into the back of the net.
Right at the couple of seconds of injury time left did Fernandes finally get the second goal but Brighton could of tied it easily the way they were playing.

Yeah, you'd have to see Arsenal as favourites for fourth. They have 3 games in hand over Man U, and are 4 points behind, but also have a slightly better goal difference. Even a win, a draw and a defeat across those three games in hand would likely see Arsenal move to fourth. I'm skeptical that Man U will be able to maintain that position, it seems like they owe a lot of it to de Gea's inspired form at the moment.
Compared to other teams arsenal does have a great chance to get into position 4, because it has several postponed matches, but even so it is not impossible that arsenal can get out of the top 4 later, because they have postponed matches against big teams like tottenham and also chelsea, when you see Arsenal slightly difficult match against Burnley and Wolves made me not sure if Arsenal could get full points against other teams in the postponed match later.
As Rangnick had said, it is quite sad they are settling for fourth place atop the table but even getting that is going to be a struggle to them.
Which is very bad to say about such a team as Manchester United with the players they have on their starting roster.

Before that happened between Wolves and Tottenham, there was West Ham who still had hope of occupying 4th place for now. If seen later West ham will play Newcastle and take advantage of this match with a full score without reply. If West Ham still wants their position back, it means they will most likely have to have some ideal points against Newcastle.
Then Man United have pocketed 2 points from the match against Brighton, which makes West Ham have a strong reason to beat Newcastle.

Manchester United managed to get a win after their 2 matches ended in a draw. Ronaldo became the hero of their victory, through his kick which ended in goals and also Bruno Fernandez's goal which sealed the victory. Even though they managed to win, they haven't shown a promising game. It was evident from Brighton's attack which was able to penetrate the Manchester United defense.
In the future, Manchester United must be able to play better than today's match.
Of course, if you look at the overall game, Manchester United still haven't shown their best performance and they really benefited from a Brighton red card in the 54th minute.
but I think this win is very helpful to improve their mentality and confidence for the next match, considering the competition in the top 4 is currently very tight and Manchester United are required to continue to show consistency if they don't want to lose their UCL ticket this season.
Had Brighton scored and converted their clear cutting chances obviously they might not have lost their match against Man Utd, kudos to DeGea for a point blank save in the first half, I did watch both Man Utd and PSG matches, I didn't see any noticeable difference in Man Utd performance compared to their previous matches, they are just lucky to win the match, in fact after a Brighton player was redcarded for a foul against Elanga, Brighton continued to press Man Utd unfortunately couldn't equalize, however conceded the second goal, Man Utd need to up their games else they would not clinch top 4 spot.

A lovely match between Man Utd and Brighton. Seriously was waiting for Ronaldo to shoot a goal and it happened at 51st minute. Man Utd had one more chance in the 1st half but did not make though. Brighton was still on fire back to back having chances to shoot goals but need to appreciate D. de Gea the goal keeper for saving 2 tremendous goals. He was another pillar for today's win to Man Utd. Fernandes had another chance to shoot a goal but missed. However finally he scored a goal at 97th minute. Need to even appreciate R Sanchez for saving a goal. Lovely to watch best teams play against each other.
When talking about Manchester United, everyone will always focus on this one player, yes Cristiano Ronaldo. Apart from the slanted talk about him, like the culprit of Manchester United's game problems that I often hear from several people. But despite it all, most people always look forward to his appearance.
Here we see that it is not Ronaldo or the coach's strategy that is deadlocked. But to the team play itself. If we look at Ronaldo's contribution to this match, he gets the highest rating. And if Rangnick's strategy can be demonstrated perfectly by the players who go down on the pitch, I see Manchester United will be back to their best.

Anyway, if Man United is out from 4th place, which team replaced them?  Huh
Arsenal, Wolves and Tottenham still have the opportunity to replace Manchester United in the 4th position of the standings because these 3 teams still have several games pending. I believe in Arsenal's ability to win games, they are still the favorites although Tottenham will not be overlooked either.

The competition to secure the final place in the Champions League is getting more and more interesting now that Manchester United won the match against Brighton yesterday. Obviously Tottenham and Arsenal will press a lot so Manchester United's position in the top 4 is not safe. If these two teams can win the match then it is clear that Manchester United will drop to 5th or 6th position in the standings.

Yeah, you'd have to see Arsenal as favourites for fourth. They have 3 games in hand over Man U, and are 4 points behind, but also have a slightly better goal difference.
