Problems with Manchester United are unstable performance of a whole team from defense to attacking systems. In matches when their attacking players work fine and score goals, their defense players can not protect their goal and end with a draw. In opposite, when their defense system can protect their goal, their attacking players are unable to score winning goal. A combination of such, makes the club is very unstable in performance and unpredictable with whatever opponents.

What you said is true, because Man United's performance this season has been like that. But what we are talking about right now is about Man United's chances against Burnley, where I have the opinion that Man United will beat Burnley because after all Man United has a higher level than Burnley and I think Man United will definitely learn from their mistakes against Middlesbrough.

Moreover, this is a Premier League game where Man United still has a big chance to get a ticket to the Champions League next season and I guess they will try their best for it. To be sure, let's see together what the result will be.

Man United did lose against Middlesbrough but Man United's performance at that time was quite good and they dominated the game, they are just unlucky enough to take advantage of opportunities.
Lose is a lose and if a big club have to satisfy with a lose in which they have good ball possession and domination, it is a more serious failure. It means they have a decreasing quality and performance with which they have to reduce their indicator for success. That is painful decreasing satisfactory in my opinion.

Quote
So against Burnley, Man United will still be the favorite and I think Man United certainly doesn't want to repeat the same mistake of wasting so many chances that could have been goals. I predict Man United will win by a difference of 2 goals.

With the 4-3-2-1 formation I think they are going to tear Burnley apart.
This can only happen if Burnley doesn't defends and comes out to attack Manchester United.
They did play good, they should give Paul Pogba mlre of the ball and more side runs should be made by Ronaldo, Rashford and Sancho.

You are talking about Burnley getting torn apart by Manchester. Well, as far as I can remember Manchester wasn't even able to beat Middlesborough in a home game. Let's first wait and see and I am sure Burnley isn't blind. They will also take into account that Manchester is vulnerable obviously. The longer you can keep your goal clean, the more nervous Manchester will become. They aren't patient enough. That's Burnley's chance.

Liverpool did not lose any game and they played well since Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane left for AFCON now the tournament is over and they should be available for there next game, with them back I think Liverpool will be stronger let's not forget that they added Luis Diaz to there rank also in this January transfer window, but my fear for them is that this AFCON might cause enemity between Salah and Sadio Mane just like the world cup on Germany 2006 did to Ronaldo and Rooney.
Both have ever met in international before and fine, I believe both will never lose his professional. So far when one of them can't play versus Leicester, Diaz is good when together with Mane or Salah, I know they never paired with each other, But Klopp knows what he was doing, can all be taken down with 3-4-3 formation, with 3 on the front (Salah, Mane, and Diaz) or 1 of them as a substitution.

I still hope that the players are professionals and it will not come to real hostility. Also, the post-match story gives hope for this, when after the end of the final, Mane approached Salah and tried to console him. I perfectly understand Salah's feelings when he didn't even manage to shoot in the penalty shootout, but I still don't think that this will greatly affect the interaction on and off the football field. Although, of course, it is clear that Salah's mood level will be clearly lower than Mane's. On the other hand, it may even have a positive effect on Salah's game for Liverpool, when the football player, thanks to his game for the club, will try to remove the negative that remained after the lost final.
Almost player have professional attitude what ever happening on the African nation final they will be great partner on Liverpool, but I hope both player can join as soon possible for Liverpool because few days later will have UEFA Champion League match where Liverpool face Inter Milan, beside still have many important match on Primer League I think Jurgen Klopp will give few days for Mane and Salah keep take rest and back to the club maybe four or five days later. If Mane and Salah have back to club I think Liverpool will have great opportunity on Primer League again.

I wonder what Manchester United are going to do against Burnley this week in the Premier League.
What do you mean? What else should they do other than prepare for the match? If you are talking about formation then I think it will be the same 4-2-3-1 that quite worked well for them in the past 2 games. It looks like they're better defensively now but De Gea needs to be in top shape always.

Biggest shock of  the FA cup to me should be Leicester city vs Nothenham Forest, the premier league side Leicester city lost to a lower division side Rotherham Forest 4 goals to their single goal, and what's even funny is that they fielded a strong team against this lower division team, I think the quality of football from the English premier league teams is dropping fast.
in currently fa cup, only Manchester United and Leicester were unlucky. losing from a lower caste team, what a big joke!!

imagine how many people lost betting because of the losses experienced by the two teams above. looks like the winner FA Cup this time, it will be very difficult to predict

Leicester City didn't only lose, they received a lesson par excellence! Holy, how can they get defeated with a 4 to 1?

I didn't watch the game though, but the competition is way too important to let it go that way. Anyone placed a bet on Nottingham winning with a 0 - 2 handicap? Tongue
This is a crushing blow for them and surely the fans of the fox will not be happy with this.
9 minutes 3 goals is not a good thing for Leicester, why is their defense this bad.
They did get possession of the ball but in terms of chances Nottingham was far superior to them.
This is another embarrassing thing after Manchester United yesterday

Yes and I think Manchester is even more crazy because they had a home game and were playing in front of their own crowd in a full stadium with players like Ronaldo. Never ever should they give that game away, but somehow that results also fits very well into the story they are writing this season. They just can't manage to play constantly on a high level. There are always these set backs that really hurt.

I wonder what Manchester United are going to do against Burnley this week in the Premier League. They are certainly the favourite to win this game without any doubt. Burnley are seen at the last place in the standings. They don't deserve to stay in the Premier League this season. I liked Manchester United's performance on the last weeks of the league. They have improved their performance compared to before. I'm expecting them to do more than this. They should be able to win this game easily.

Well... Last season there was a different coach and a different tactic apparently, and with Ronaldo coming to the club, it's understandable that the game will get better, albeit not immediately. I do not understand your question about the game with Burnley. What else have they got to do apart from play and win? That's their job, heh.

I thought that the absence of key players would greatly affect Liverpool, but this did not happen. They strengthened their positions in second place and no one threatens them, as for the fight for the championship, it has long ended.
Their absence affected them, if you closely watched how Liverpool performed in most matches despite winning them. They had to fight hard to win them.

Biggest shock? You are kidding...  Grin
Nottinghm Forest eliminated even Arsenal. Did you expect Leicester City to wallop the 6 to 0?

I'm curious about the Tottenham - Southampton game this week too. Tottenham have been performing really well since Conte came here. Their Premier League performance has been amazing till the Chelsea game. Maybe they lost that game in Stamford Bridge but this shouldn't cause them to be unhappy very much. They should focus on their coming games and Southampton are really tough to beat. They are an unpredictable team and they proved it against Manchester City not much time ago too. But I still think that Tottenham will win as long as they stay focused.

If we compare Tottenham's and Southampton's recent performances, Tottenham will surely move on. And as you said, Tottenham are now playing great in collaboration with Conte. Their two main strikers Son and Harry Kane are back in form, so Tottenham have no problem scoring now.
Tottenham's past record against Southampton is very good. Southampton have not won any match against Tottenham in the last five games. So I hope Tottenham win the next match.
This is a right time for Tottenham to play Southampton because all there injury problem are solved except the recent Eric Dier injury which is not serious but he is doubt for the game, with how they play Brighton I think Southampton won't be a problem.

Liverpool today quite easily won the match against Cardiff City and reached the 1/8 finals of the FA Cup. With the African Cup ending today, Liverpool will play the next matches in the optimal line-up. Admittedly, I thought that the absence of key players would greatly affect Liverpool, but this did not happen. They strengthened their positions in second place and no one threatens them, as for the fight for the championship, it has long ended.

Definitely Manchester City will win the title and Liverpool will finish as runners up, Chelsea are likely to finish 3rd but if they drop form again as they did in December they might struggle with the rest of the team fighting for that top four spot, for me Manchester United are the favourite for the top four if you are judging by good talented squad but the are not putting those talent on the pitch, the other favourite for the position is Tottenham, now they have get the players that brings negativity to the team( Ndombele and Ali) and bring in the guys from Juventus I think they can now be considered serious.arsenal does not have a squad that is convincing to claim the top four even if they are playing well this season.
The first and second is not the argument for EPL anymore, that is pretty much known already. Hell, sportsbet.io already paid for the outrights, they said whoever wagered on City to win, already got their money because they trust them to win the league all that much.

You may or may not believe the situation to be true but I feel like if they end up losing then it would be very unexpected and a shocking situation. In any case there is a much bigger fight for the fourth spot, West Ham, United, Arsenal, Spurs all fighting for that fourth spot, we all know just one of them will take it but who? That is the part where I love to watch and see, because I have zero clue who will be there.

The way results goes in this  weekend FA CUP was shocking seeing Middleborough winning Manchester United and today Nottingham forest won Leicester city comfortably was shocking a scoreline of four goals to one. That shows how good Tottenham are winning a premier League side like Brighton three goals to one comfortably.
The score line for this FA cup is really offset, imagine Middlesbrough defeating Manchester United, maybe that's why Norttinhamforest have that confidence and they made it as they defeated the  premier league side Leicester city, which means the next round of the FA cup will be really interesting to watch as every team is now demonstrating their ability to perform.

With Tottenham performance in yesterday FA cup match against Brighton and the way the players show lot of commitment I think the transfer market was a good one for them in terms of the players that left( Ndombele, geovanni Locelso, deli Alli) there was no bad energy on like before you observe they are players that don't want to be there.
Exaxtly this.

I believe conte give all of the players a freedom of choice , if you do love the club and want to fight for the badge show it and you might stay or else you better go for good.
Conte well known were super enthusiastic and energetic, when he sees his players doesnt fit his philosophy then yeah that's what happened to those 3 players.
Superb performance , they will have to play against southampton in the prem this wednesday and with this winning , the morale boosted!
If Harry winks and Doherty has not improved there performance he ( Antonio Conte) he would have include them in the clear out. Since he came to spurs you will see improvement in some players game especially the ones that still wants to play for spurs like Ben Davies and Harry winks, sometimes when I watch Ben Davies play I said to myself is this the same guy, his improvement is amazing.
Yupp conte emotional and expressive coaching style give players confidence , look at harry kane he seems back on track scoring goals , look at dier , davinson sanchez and lucas moura .. looks like indeed we are witnessing a lot of man reborn here at tottenham.

Lots of shocking result , even there is a lot of premier league teams winning it in hard way.
That is FA cup. Shocking results is a routine.
