If this was done on purpose it's a matter of great shame. I don't know why they would do such things. Although we should let the investigation run till we get to a conclusion but if this was done on purpose. the club should be punished hard as postponing a match messes up a lot of things for both the clubs and also the PL management.

If there is an unimportant cup for top clubs of the Premier League, it is definitely the EFL Cup. Because that one has a much lower quality than the FA Cup. Maybe FA Cup is not as prestigious as the Premier League of course but it is the second biggest tournament in England I believe. The top clubs are trying their best in their tight schedule. And there haven't been much surprise in the FA Cup when it comes to its winners. Generally, the top clubs have won it so far.

yes, because it is often filled by second line players, making matches by big teams unattractive, the composition of players played by big teams does not describe the prestige of the FA trophy. To be honest, I don't care about the result of the FA Cup match even if it's played by a big or my favorite team.
if the FA Cup trophy is not prestigious and the team doesn't seem to care about the winning, it's better to just delete it this Cup, it only make the schedule more crowded.

It was quite displeasing, 67% possession, 10 shots, 0 on target, and simply excuses to follow. I was expecting Arteta to put out his strongest team, kill the game off then rest your top players. They do not have the depth in quality of players. When you pay players these wages and supposedly playing at the highest level, you should expect more. Arteta did not just learn from the first match he play with Nottingham forest in FA cup last two season.

At the same time, they try their second tier players to keep them hot. This is an opportunity for them to show their abilities. I think if they play well it is not impossible to become a player in the first team. Yes, it's a little difficult, but there's nothing wrong with showing their ability to be noticed by the coach.

This is what the case has often been before hand, now, times have changed. Just like the Bundesliga where we've got a Bayern Munich dominance of the league, the EPL has turned out to be confined to very few teams in the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. No other team counts so much and you can be almost certain that, these 3 would always be in the top 3 spots while the other teams struggle on whatever spot is left.
Looking at this fact, the rest teams have redirected there energy and force towards the FA and Carabao Cup for there chance of going home with a trophy. Even Europa now has become difficult, not to mention the UCL. So, its not really a game for second eleven anymore, just a slight change but, you could be sure the big dogs would be out once the time is running out.

I would not say that all three top places will necessarily belong to Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, but rather I would say that the winner of the championship is likely to be one of them Wink

It's just that the Premier League is the tournament where the real strength of the club is manifested over a long distance and the accidents inherent in the cup system are leveled. League games will go on today, Southampton will play with Brentford at home. Southampton is favorite by bookmakers, probably due to home advantage. Brentford is higher in standing though. I wouldn't bet on this game as it's open for all three outcomes.

The chance for Manchester City to win in the upcoming matches is surely bigger than Chelsea. They are in a good form and they will play at home. While Chelsea isn't really in a good form after they have a problem with Lukaku. I saw Chelsea attackers become not really as well as before since the problem happened. It makes Chelsea lose their power in the attacking line and they play not really solid anymore. So, I also doubt that Chelsea can win in Manchester City home. But the match should be quite tight, Chelsea isn't a weak team and they have strong defenders. Probably Manchester City wins 2-0 or 2-1 in the upcoming match.

I think that the Manchester City - Chelsea game next week will be a quite satisfying game for most of us. I hope so at least. These teams both have an unbeaten streak for many weeks. Manchester City are in a much better situation now as they won all of their last 11 EPL games. When it comes to Chelsea, they didn't lose their last six EPL games too. But they got four draws in those ones which is not good. But there is a feeling in me like Chelsea will defeat them. Maybe it is really hard but I don't know.

Also yes, Manchester City also has this years title already I think too. Guardiola is doing brilliantly considering he is managing a team at the EPL, not La Liga. With the way they play, we can consider them the winner of the title this year. I don't see any possibility where they lose the championship.
